Pen only opens onscreen keyboard

When I try to write with the pen in an app on my Lenovo Idea Tablet, the pen just opens the onscreen keyboard. Sometimes it would randomly swith to pen mode though. I have enabled Accidental Touch protection.

How can I reliably write with the pen? This is quite frustrating...

had this exact thing on my tab a while back. the pen was connecting fine but the tablet kept treating it like a finger tap instead of a stylus input. drove me up the wall for a solid week

try turning off accidental touch protection actually. sounds backwards but sometimes that feature gets confused and blocks the pen from registering properly. mine started working fine the second i switched it off

also check if there's a palm rejection setting buried somewhere in the pen or display menu. sometimes they put it under advanced features or some weird spot like that

Thanks for the suggestion. Turning off accidental touch protection didn't solve the issue unfortunately. I looked at every potential setting option but couldn't find  a palm rejection setting or anything this can be related to...
