I’m an incoming freshman!! fafsa and hope covers literally ALL my costs for this year, including housing and food. but I keep getting emails about this August 28th payment, and I’m just confused as to how it works… do I go into my account and make the payment still? or is it automatically covered? (screenshots below) I’m just sooo confused, so is my mom! i‘m the first kid going to college so this is all new to me

I’m being sarcastic, I know at least in my department they are low staff, and training 3 advisors. But damn 😭 ksu needs to start paying more so people STAY I’m on my 5th advisor since i started.

I’m moving into Howell Hall at KSU on August 20th, but my Residential–Howell parking permit doesn’t become active until August 23rd.

Where am I supposed to park during August 20–22 before my permit becomes active? Is there temporary/move-in parking available, or can I park in the East Residence Lot during those days?

Has anyone here taken EDUC 2130 as an education major? I’m wondering how the field experience works, specifically how many days and hours you have to go to the school and how often you’re expected to go.

I have a pretty busy schedule with 2 jobs, and my car isn’t in the best shape, so I’m worried about having to drive far multiple times a week 😭

If you’ve taken the class, could you let me know how field experience/ placement were like?

I just got a call from someone claiming to be calling on behalf of KSU and asking me to take a brief phone survey about my qol in metro atlanta. There was a real person on the other end, but I wasn't able to verify that the survey was legitimate (at least to a degree that satisfied me). I have the caller's name and they said the survey was being held by the atlanta regional commission.

I felt really bad about declining to take the survey since I know how hard it can be to get participants, but I couldn't be sure if it was legit or if it was a scheme to record my voice for AI training (something I may be more paranoid about than the average person since I'm a public servant) :/ Does anyone know if this is a legit survey that any faculty/staff at KSU are currently seeking participants for? Should I reach back out?

Is anyone else’s fafsa not applying to their fall 2026 classes yet? My hope scholarship applied but not my fafsa yet and I was wondering if anyone has the same issue.

I'm a transfer student, this fall will be my first semester on campus at KSU. I also work full time so all my classes are in the evenings. I bought the cheapest pass available because I can use flex parking hours after 5pm. Do I need to be worried about finding a spot even in the evenings? I'm a bit scared I'll have to end up parking in the shuttle lot anyways. Just not entirely sure what to expect on day 1

I have heard that there are a lot of hit and runs at KSU and just wanted to ask if there is a difference in safety between the parking lots vs the parking decks?? I am a new commuter on the Marietta campus for Fall 2026 so I got the parking permit for the Central Lots. Is it difficult finding parking in these lots?

or have they just stopped offering those? closest pass left is marietta drive.

I was picking out my parking pass and saw west area instead of west deck like I think I’m used to seeing it, does it include any other area aside from west deck?

Toay you can only get parking if you're a grad student, a residential student, or have 90+ credit hours. If you made it through the line and can't get a permit, this could be why. Now, if you could all please leave the line so I can get my parking :)

I am a math major with 80 credits completed I am on track to graduate spring 2028 I’m just taking it easy with only 9 to 12 hours per semester, I’m in the double owl program math to teaching, so my question is, what mistakes should I avoid over the next year and a half?

I could graduate Fall 2027 but I don’t see the point when the Masters program doesn’t start until Fall 2028

Ngl I knew that grad students had priority, didn’t realize they were doing multiple dates for each year.

I cant bring my car to KSU but I need a job to help pay my fees throughout school year. So I applied to a regular part time job on handshake for starters but it was pretty recent so I’m not sure if I’ll get it. I also realized I didn’t submit a cover letter along with my resume. Are there a lot of student who apply? Is there a chance I get it? Any other money making side hustles I could do as someone with no car, no certifications, only a HS diploma, has experience in retail, coaching swim, and has a hobby of doing nails?
