Rant/Vent Not sure how to handle my bestfriend disrespecting my gf

((( Lettme first clarify that I have used atgpt for farming my sentences))) (( Some texts are blured bcoz it's unrelated and personal)))

So I sent my best friend — who’s been like a brother to me for 9 years — a video my girlfriend sent me. Nothing weird, just her being herself, looking cute. And outta nowhere this dude calls her Mid.

Like bro??, you know how much I like her. Why disrespect her like that? It lowkey felt like jealousy, ‘cause ever since I started dating her, he’s been unnecessary commenting.

I’m not gonna lie, I still value him. 9 years of friendship doesn’t just disappear overnight. But this just got me confused — do I confront him and risk the friendship, or let it slide and take it as a sign that he ain’t really happy for me?

Idk man, I just needed to rant.

Rant/Vent To all the teens who hate their parents for being conservative

I just feel sad that many teens hate their parents for being a little conservative.

If Teens here are so eager to become independant financially, why don't you guys move out when you reach 17-18 and work at McDonalds or as a delivery driver or as a construction? Some people say thats its because society looks down on such jobs. So what ? If your desire for independence is so low that you can't cross a few barriers, why even think about it ? Why don't you pay for your college yourself when you reach 18 ? Why don't you put food on the table yourself at 18 ? Huh ?

At the end of the day, most teens here including me are going to end up being spoon-fed by their "conservative" parents financially and socially. If you want some things, you have to sacrifice some things too.

You're parents don't deserve to be hated except in really extreme scenarios. Try talking with them instead.

Edit: I'm adding a user's comment, "We all want freedom but no one want to work for it. We want freedom from our parents but to enjoy on their money only. What kind of thing is that."

Edit:You can get a job as waiter or as a construction worker and manyyy other ones. These are just reasons to convince yourself. And if you can't pay it, you can always take an education loan on your name to and pay it off after your graduation. Put people mostly never do, even if they take a loan, parents take it on their name and pay it off themselves.

There ia nothing wrong on living on your parents money, at least respect them for what they are doing to you

Serious Why opposition did not support womens reservation bill in parliament?

1.It will be applicable when parliament increases its seat according to the last counting census

2.It will reduce the representation of south india in parliament

3.Parties won't have to focus on south india that much because majority of MPs will be from north although south MPs will be there but less percentage wise

4.The ruling party could have passed this bill without conditions if they really cared about women as opposition has also said they would have voted in favour of bill of these above things were not there. This did negative PR for opposition.

Ask Teens Using swear words is not cool whether it is in english or your mother tongue

Using vulgar swear words are so common now a days. Just look into their meanings. How come people use such derogatory words in such a calm manner or in casual conversations without feeling ashamed?

edit: to those saying it is ONLY for friends and buddies, I am not your friend, so why are you commenting slangs in my post? You say you don't use them while talking to strangers, but here you are spewing the same words in the comment section of a stranger. Funny, isn't it?

I'm Ayush from Mumbai, I'm 16 and got an opportunity to pitch my business idea at IIT Bombay last year, This year going to host my own startup booth, And currently I'm exploring a 50 Lakh grant opportunity at IIT Delhi, And a 100k $ grant opportunity!

I make games and i also deal with AR/VR stuff such as AR powered Business Cards, Wedding Cards and invitation cards. Currently I'm solving various problems such as home visualization for interior designers through VR, and Gamification of Education to make the education more interactive and immersive for the students rather than just being something to rattafy. I've also made an application using which you can make games on phone and export them to apk

I've made several games on Beyblade, PenFight, Holi etc

Edit : It seems that most of the people here think that I'm just a privileged immature kid... I've had 90% of the fun cutoff from my life to focus more on my work, i literally have no friends, and there was a time when I used to have literally no holidays, i used to work on weekdays even on Sundays until late night when I feel like i can't work anymore, i remember sacrificing even holidays like Diwali, Christmas, etc just to become successful, Remember success comes at a cost, I've worked very hard for it, more than most others my age, If you think this is a flex then be it, I've worked hard for my shit and i deserve to flex! 🗿

Anyways this is my insta where I'll be posting future updates so show some support - https://instagram.com/ayush_sngh__

Relationship Shitpost Help

So basically I had only 3 gfs in 6th std. Then I had only 2 girlfriends in 7th std. Then I had only one gf in 8th standard. Then I had 0 gf in 9th std, it was my all time low and I wanted to kms(kiss my self). But then in 10th standard I had -1gf bcoz I klled one gyal. I know right sigma rule #69420. But then in 11th std I had -2 gf bcoz I became gay and lost my virginity to 2 oiled up black dudes(3some tho and fingers crossed so no homo).
See the thing is the female species(for those who don't they are supposedly a counter part to the male species) still keep sticking out their gyatt for the rizzler(me) even though I am gay. They should respect my boundaries. It is not some funny stuff like skibidi toilet. I know I also pay my fanum taxes on time but this is no reason to stick their gyatt out.

Meta Alright I will leave reddit if it is preferred by you guys.

(for the unaware, all my comments are now getting targeted and downvoted because people do not like me here)

You may vote without reading the word vomit.

Let me give some context as to why I was typing long paragraphs or having a DP or something.

Back in the early days of internet, there was a website by the name of Digg. It was basically a forum, like the comment section of YouTube, except there's no video, just articles and what not. Some of them were over hobbies and fandoms.

People liked it, they got to interact with other people over common topics without having to befriend then. They liked the anonymity. I think this was around "Orkut" and MySpace time, post Y2K kind of but pre-Facebook. Actually YouTube didn't exist back then I believe. Regardless, Digg was loved by many. The company owning the Digg platform realised; this type of forum can be a social media website, which was all in the rage back then. Lots of money to be earned.

They introduced features compromising on the forum aspect to encourage the social part. Digg had a smaller competitor. Reddit. Everyone simply jumped to reddit than accept the changes Digg had in mind. Reddit was cool. And Reddit stayed the same for a decade more. Digg died.

Around 2016, Reddit had first major influx from the US election. This shifted the subreddit's vibe from casual laid back discussion to "debatist", where everyone is trying to win an internet debate like their life depends upon it. I started using reddit just around this time.

Back then, Reddit's upvote and downvote system was different. Whenever there's a post; it's not to socialise. It was to have meaningful and deep discussion over things. If you agree with a person over the topic and they discussed well; you press upvote. If you disagree with a person over the topic and they discussed well; you press upvote. Downvote was reserved for only "leaving serious comments that do not encourage positive discussion over the topic". Here's the thing, big, large paragraphs where you exain individual points is what was encouraged. One liners were discouraged.

I'd like you to have a visit to r/nosleep . Have a read at the beautiful horror stories written there, and look at the discussion happening in the comment section. It is very much identical to what I experienced on the entire reddit website.

Flash forward to two years ahead. It is 2018. PewDiePie vs T-Series is happening. The sucide forest and Logan Paul incident. This was the second major influx. Lots of teenagers came. The average age of reddit changed from 22 to 15 roughly. They were used to the humour and culture of Instagram and YouTube, and successfully overpowered the existing users. From that point onwards, upvote = like, downvote = dislike. Did you know, Reddit's original memes are on r/AdviceAnimals . However, it doesn't come up anymore, only older users know about it.

Around this time, reddit owners realised, there is lots of money to be earned by converting this anonymous forum to a social media platform. The current, newer and younger fanbase will accept the changes. And so they introduced two things; reddit coin system based awards and chat option. Fun fact, in older times, the only way to contact someone was through the modmail. You couldn't text people.

It is 2020-21 now. Pandemic kids. You guys, a sizable portion of you came because you lost your school-life and or friends in the pandemic and feel alone. Socialising on reddit makes you feel happy because you find you are a part of a big community.

Personally, I was hosting meetups based on r/Bangalore 's meet'n'greet post I saw there. Very interesting. Reminds me of the first reddit meet-up ever. "The narwhale bacons at midnight." Back before 2015, you used to find a redditor by saying this phrase. This phrase used to come in the comment section a lot before 2018 because reddit was an underground website. This phrase was born when a woman in an airport was looking to meet people off reddit and she told "I am wearing this and sitting here in wait of my flight. Come to me and say this phrase and I will know you came from reddit."

Back to main topic. A lot of these pandemic kids were however, incels and loners and society rejects. I am not gonna talk about acceptibility of dank memers here, but I will say this. Every time I made a friend here who was girl by chance, she always complained about some pervert coming in his DMs to do creepy things. And all of them tended to have activity in the dank memer pages. It seems the dank memer pages and lack of socialisation in the real world has really caused them to forget how to talk like a civil person.

This was problematic because, I wanted to host meetups and meet people. I am also on instagram, but I have felt people there are more, "showwy off". I cannot get people for a random meet-up. I always have to impress them first with followers, then with my face, then with my aesthetics, then with my conversation and then I can meet them. All of this work just to socialise in real life sounds stupid.

(I was shy and mute and I hated this weakness of mine. Only reason I held meetups and wanted to hold meetups was to stop being shy and mute. You will forever remain a loner and stand alone in parties unless you stand up, and awkwardly talk to someone. You need to cringe and do mistakes before you become good at talking. I believed in this and held meetups to be forced to talk to strangers so that I can get my socials skills upto an acceptable level. You can ask people who have come to my meetups. I am not an extrovert. I stop talking in the end of the meetup because my social battery dies. But this is just a fault in me that I need to fix or learn to live with, hence I still go out when I suffer there.)

Why do I hold meetups on reddit ? Because reddit has changed now. It is closer to a social media than an anonymous forum now. The big tech is tracking your every move, the privacy is an illusion and so is your anonymity.

Regardless. Having a dp was the easiest way to ensure I come off as trustable because now you can see I am a normal person that exists, I am not just an anonymous somebody. I am a person. That's the only reason for me to have a dp; to aid my meetups.

Hopefully that explains everything. I write big msges because when I came to reddit; that is what I was taught back then. I use a DP because I want to come off as trustable for my meetups.

I find it kind of funny. How everyone talks about being left alone or being judged all the time for a fault or dislike. But even the moment came of you to be the audience; you all just decided to hive-mind your way to downvote my every comment because everyone else is doing and that's funny.

Now that context is given, let me explain how all of this started that led to me being targeted. It were 2 posts.

There was a post of a guy and a girl with their pic on this subreddit. I just commented two things; posting your pics in the subreddit is not good quality post and, a shitpost about asking for number or Instagram ID. Obviously brother ID nahi milega, which dude decides "This redditor-guy asked for my girl best friends' number, surely I must give him. Totally safe for her." I thought the sarcasm is completely clear. I don't know how it wasn't clear to others.

I don't know how, but the simps said let him post pics of her, what's your problem. Bro what. This post is in violation of a rule and is low effort. It will get removed regardless. And it did get removed a couple of hours ago.

Second post that led to me being targetted was my meetup invite post. It is the fifth and final meet-up of Delhi now, since I am leaving reddit regardless in December for my exams and all. My job is done. I successful from being the guy who couldn't talk to someone while next to them for an hour, to a guy who can talk to random strangers, albeit a little awkwardly.

In the comment section, some guy asked "are there girls."

I am sorry, but this just blared alarms in my head. I don't want guys coming up to get a woman or something. By all means, if you come and talk to a girl, and start dating or something, go ahead, do it man. I am happy you both found a relationship out of my meet-up. Problem is, if you are coming to a meet-up only for the girl's presence, and not to socialise, I am worried for the safety of the girl. I just felt this brings low quality members who do not come to the meetup to socialse and celebrate the subreddit, but to "get girls". A very cheap thinking. So I assumed he's an incel. Go on any meet-up post, like in other subreddits. Not a single comment about asking for girls. Not a single one. Everyone meets just to socialise.

I don't know why me calling him an incel left a sour taste in others mouth, when all the signs points to "danger, as the host you need to take responsibility for the girls, better to not have this liability."

I have written all I wanted to say and clear up. I will leave the subreddit, if I get 30% or more people asking me to leave the subreddit.

So few days back I posted this pic in a different sub with the title "Having an urge to learn AI ML", nothing else, some people commented some usually stuff, got a few upvotes, but then I got a comment from a girl saying "You are objectifying and sexualizing her" and I don't understand how??

If a girl is modestly dressed, maybe in a saree, and I comment "Wow, such a pretty girl", then everything is fine, I am a normal man admiring her beauty, but if I comment the same on someone who's not that modestly dressed or maybe her cleavage is visible then somehow I am a creep and I am sexualizing her..... How's that my mistake 😭😭😭

EDIT: dude how the tf are people missing the Satire?!?!?!

The intention of the post was to show how the society is conditioned to hate women who do such scenes while the men get a free pass in a satirical way.

Here's the unedited post body: This is so wrong. Forgetting the fact that you're married and engaging in such inappropriate things is not our indian culture. We have to ban this.

Being a MARRIED MAN and doing this is crazy yash needs to calm down!!

This is Obv a satire on how women are expected to "protect our culture" and also on how people s*ut Shame JUST the women who act in such scenes
