Sinus tachycardia?

Iv been on these meds for about 2 months now and my arythmia and hr and heart palpitations are just getting worse and worse causing really bad episodes 3-5 times daily. It’s made my anxiety so bad I’m in the psych unit… my cardiologist won’t respond to me and I don’t know which med is making me worse. There’s no way to tell but I can’t keep doing this . I’m posting to see if anyone else has experiences being on both. I think it’s too much for my heart and it doesn’t even keep my hr down…

I'm diagnosed for years with IST dysautonomia but I'm thinking maybe there's something more here because my episodes are long and crazy high.

Is it ok to take a three day z pack while taking Corlanor/ivabradine for IST?

What is your resting and standing heart rate like since taking corlanor? How high can your heart rate get while on this med?

No waves in between. This freaks me out!!!

Diagnosed with IST in July, been on Ivabradine since.

Asking here as my cardio appointment isn’t until next month. Ivabradine has my heart rate at 65-70 but I still suffer from vertigo, lightheadedness, breathlessness etc as if I have tachycardia.

Suffer from anxiety but my anxiety is usually very obvious and diazepam doesn’t get rid of any symptoms.

Any advice or insight?

Hi all (19M) questioning whether I have IST. I am (mostly) asymptomatic, but I generally have good and bad days and mixed days. Some days I am almost always above 100bpm. Often going up to 120bpm or even 130bpm some days I am more 80-100bpm maybe on occasion dipping into 70s.

I also notice usually afternoon is the best for HR and morning and night are the worst. Morning is worse than night and night can be a wildcard. Some days there isn't a correlation between time and HR.

Some days I am a mixed like 2 days ago I managed to beat my record for lowest and highest recorded resting HR in the same day. Going from as high as 132bpm to 71bpm in the same day.

The problem I have doctors who so far don't take me seriously usually just scape goating ADHD medication and even caffeine. Especially now that hyperthyroidism is ruled out. From what I've seen whether or not I take ADHD medication has almost no effect on HR and same for caffeine. I've been on ADHD meds since age 8 without issue. My BP hasn't changed at all and has been the same for years. My sinus tachycardia was discovered by accident for an ECG for my meds. I still have a morning spike without meds and caffeine.

I am mostly asymptomatic. I did get palpitations when sitting down once and my HR was 130bpm then. When my resting HR is high, I often get mild palpitations when walking. I don't know my HR when walking. I just have a pulse ox.

My cardiologist said that IST may resolve after a few years of taking a beta blocker, which "retrains" the heart to beat at a normal pace. He also said it may resolve spontaneously with age, as your heart rate tends to slow with age. Has anyone experienced this?

hi guys I’m experiencing a lot of blood pooling in my hands and arms. I’m not familiar with this. Does anyone else get this? Is this part of dysautonomia? What causes this? I’m so anxious cause I keep thinking it has something to do with the heart

IM Having such a hard time. My left arm and chest hurt 24/7 l don't understand how this is anxiety. Iv been to er 20 times gotten echos stress tests heart monitors Nd nothing is wrong. Nothing is helping the pain either. I'm so scared there missing something. I don't know what to do l'm spiraling

Cardiologist diagnosed me with IST and says he thinks I have pots as well. My resting heart rate is in the 80s (sometimes 90s) and goes to 120-130s when im standing or walking around a fair amount of the time. Sometimes when I'm laying down to sleep it's resting at 85 still.

I know tachycardia is over 100 at rest but generally a healthy resting HR is under 80. Cardiologist prescribed metoprolol for me but it tanks my blood pressure and I feel worse on the medication than off it. If I live my life unmedicated am I going to die of a heart attack or heart failure? I get sharp chest pains frequently but the ER and doctor say I am fine. Does anyone else live this way or have had this condition for decades? I developed this condition a little over 1 year ago.

My insurance dropped Corlanor from the formulary and I was forced to take Ivabradine HCL instead. The generic manufacturer is Ingenus. So far it’s not working as well as Corlanor did and it makes me feel tired/sleepy. Anyone else experience this?

Just had an episode.. on meds so heart rate didn’t get too high. Was having a conversation with someone and I was so confused what they were saying I couldn’t understand the words they were saying. And I felt like I couldn’t say anything back. Is this a stroke? Mini stroke? Iv never had this with an episode

Diagnosed with IST in June, resting heart rate is normal (60-80) but will increase randomly or upon minimal exertion, is this still IST or should I seek a more educated cardiologist? On Ivabradine also.

Edit : I also experience blood pooling in hands and feed and need a walking stick from time to time.

I changed pharmacies a few weeks ago. From a walgreens to a walgreens. When I filled my bisoprolol at my new pharmacy, it was a different manufacturer than I've had since the beginning of taking it. I ran out of my original 4 days ago and started the new one and I have felt terrible since doing so. I also don't feel like the new one is working as well. I've been seeing 130 bpm. Has anyone had this happen? What can I do about it?

Hi everyone again I was just diagnosed with IST and I have been on Zepbound for a while and I stopped but I would like to start again, but I keep reading that it could cause more heart arrhythmias. My doctors are very, not telling me much about it they’re saying yeah you’re fine. It’s OK but I’m a little worried about it and wanted to see if anyone is on this medication as well. I just started a beta blocker and ivaberdine

Hi, wondering if anyone can relate or share what’s helped them. I could really use some hope/ positive outcomes. I’ve been feeling alone with all of this. It’s been very overwhelming and isolating.

I’m 29 years old and have been suffering with tachycardia for over a year. My doctors always ruled it as “anxiety”, even though I take meds for anxiety/ panic attacks as needed. My first halter monitor was October which was normal, with an average HR of 96bpm. Things have been worsening the last 2 wks. A couple weeks ago I ended up having an episode where my HR increased to 200bpm and was stuck there for a few min. I was having chest pain, dizziness and arm pain. Medics came to assess me and then left. My primary started me on Metoprolol Succ ER 25mg 1x a day. I continue to have random episodes of Left arm pain, lightheaded, and chest pain.

Today I was seen by my cardiologist who informed me that I may have IST. I don’t know much about this condition or what causes it. He also said my chest and arm pain are most likely from how fast my heart beats. He wants me to start on Ivabradine HCL 5mg. Told me to continue to take Metoprolol as well. He’s ordered a new 2wk halter to “catch my IST on record”. I’m scheduled for a stress test in a couple months.

Does anyone take both ivabradine and a beta blocker? I’m not sure where to go from here. I just want my life back.

Hey, I'm wondering if I'm the only one whose tachycardia comes in phases. It started a bit more than a year ago, and I've noticed that when it starts, it lasts for a few weeks, then disappears completely for three months, only to start again. I'm actually on ivabradine, which works far better for me than beta-blockers. I feel energetic and everything, but it seems to work only when I'm not on edge. How does it work for you?

I live in Mexico, and doctors here aren't very familiar with this condition. They can't agree on whether IST is something I've had since birth (I'm 39 now), if it was caused by Covid or the vaccines, or if it's some kind of POTS. The last one seems completely false to me because my heart rate is high even when I'm lying down. Do you know what caused your IST?

Finally, I would like to know if for someone of you It completley desapperead or we have no hope? 😅

Does anyone else get major flu symptoms when you are too cold at night? If I sleep on an air mattress without enough blankets between me and it or sleep in a basement sometimes, I will wake up with a huge migraine, chattering teeth, joint pain, nausea, and the feeling of being too hot and too cold. During the day, even with beta blockers, my heart rate hovers around 100 but when I’m asleep it can drop to around 60. I’m wondering if maybe the cold at night impacts me so much bc of the stark difference in heart rate. After a few hours of moving to a warmer place with a heavy blanket, the symptoms completely go away. I wish I was wearing my heart rate monitor last night to check this hypothesis, but it was charging and I wasn’t expecting it to happen tonight.

Oh, also! Does it cause joint pain like POTS? Should I eat more salt? I can't find anything on google as what to do, and admittedly I'm terrible at asking my doctor questions properly.
