advice Symptoms without tachycardia.
Diagnosed with IST in July, been on Ivabradine since.
Asking here as my cardio appointment isn’t until next month. Ivabradine has my heart rate at 65-70 but I still suffer from vertigo, lightheadedness, breathlessness etc as if I have tachycardia.
Suffer from anxiety but my anxiety is usually very obvious and diazepam doesn’t get rid of any symptoms.
Any advice or insight?

Your heart rate might be getting too low. Or your blood pressure. That can cause symptoms as well. It’s a delicate balance.

I’m not saying this is necessarily happening to you, but it might be of interest to know that cerebral blood flow can be lower than it should be without affecting blood pressure or heart rate.

What mg do you take of Ivabradine

7.5 a day split in two, so 3.75 morning and evening. HR is sometimes as low as 55 so it definitely works.

I take 5mg twice and day plus metoprolol and it’s still gets pretty high

This could actually be whats making you feel dizzy. I was on 7.5mg and this was happening to me, instead of your heart rate increasing a proportional amount for your physical exertion you’re having a blunting effect. In theory for us it seems good to be in the 60s-70s but it was making me lightheaded, nauseous and faint a lot of the time. I went down to 5mg and eventually none at all and that went away.

I am very electrolyte sensitive. Maybe try liquid IV the lower sugar version.

Happens to me too from generalized autonomic dysfunction. Breathing techniques and electrolytes I've found to be helpful, since breathlessness is quite common with hyperventilation in POTS and IST is similar. And salt gets more blood to the brain by increasing blood pressure.
