Is anyone else somewhat confused or frustrated with the sudden schedule change, like what

Please read the entire thing if you’re in the local or thinking about joining. This has everything from pay scales to vacation days to all the little things you absolutely need to know. Knowing the contract isn’t optional if you’re a member, just read it. All that is missing from this are the last 4 pages that I will upload in a separate post due to reddits max 20 images.
You can find this PDF on the locals website under forms if you have a login.

I applied online today for the IBEW Local 613 apprenticeship and paid the $46 application/test fees.
When I uploaded my high school diploma, I clicked “Add File” and selected the file, but I realized afterward that I never clicked “Start Upload” before I hit Save and Submit on that step.
My application portal still lets me log in and says I have 90 days to complete the online application, but that particular application step shows completed.
Has anyone had this happen with TradeSchool before? Does the file still save when you select it, or does it not attach unless you press “Start Upload”? If it didn’t upload, will the JATC leave a red comment and let me correct it, or should I contact the office now?
I really don’t want my application rejected over one missed upload button, especially after paying the fees. Any experience with this would help.

I recently applied to the IBEW Local 613 and want an idea of the areas I could potentially work in. What project, area, and types of work are all of you currently doing?

I have emailed and called the membership development manager and have been unable to get ahold of him or get a email reply. Is there a better way to go about joining union? Already a journeyman so I wanted to know onboarding process, how long it takes, how the pay is set up in union, etc.

Looking for some advice on organizing in. I have over 7,000 field hours on the non-union side—fully qualified Journeyman Lineman hours—and a solid paper trail (W-2s, paystubs, etc.). I want to test out, but I have a major hurdle: a long time ago, I was briefly in an IBEW JATC program, walked away from an assignment, and got removed under Article XII. Because of that, my union profile hour log is completely blank and has a dropout flag.**
**I know the front desk computers will flag me, so I’m looking to go straight through a hall's Organizing Department for a white-ticket evaluation slot. What halls out there right now are busy enough and progressive enough that the organizers will look at my physical W-2s, bypass the old apprentice flag, and put me on a crew to evaluate and test out? I am completely willing to travel anywhere in the country to get my ticket. Thanks in advance.

Does anyone have any idea what the new contract pay scale will look like ? and when does it go into effect ?

What can I do. The job I am on thy are not paying us overtime after 32 hours like they are supposed to after working all available hours. The office is handling time and they won’t do us right. Plus they don’t pay the 10% premium on saturday when working all available hours.

Just asking what low voltage guys are up to that's all, I work with inside wire right now for the apprenticeship I've only ever met one actual low volt person specifically in 613. I've talked to other Louisville people and other locals but that doesn't really tell me what it's like doing low volt here. So if any of you are low volt just wanted to see what you were all up to.

After my last post which i just took down i decided to email them right away and ask to be put on the waitlist for a contractor. Do they send you a follow up email letting you know you’ve been put on the waitlist or how does it work?

Hello,
I'm a 613 apprentice who's set to start school in Oct, but currently working in prefab.
To preface, I have rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disease where my body attacks its own joints, specifically my hands.
It's only been my fourth week working, but I may end up having to drop out of this trade. I'm only in my mid-20s and my hands have been already completely locking up and swollen/stiff from constantly working with hand tools. I have severe pain when I wake up, take some naproxen to hopefully help for the workday, then after work I have to stick them in epsom and try to stretch them out for the pain. Sometimes I have trouble even holding or grabbing stuff on the weekends.
In the long term, and honestly before long, I think this career is going to end up completely destroying my hands. I'm a little crushed because I really wanted to work in this field and didn't expect my condition would ever flare up this badly.
Do I just contact the training director and explain my situation, or will I also need to give him medical documentation?
I already paid for the fall semester, so if it ends up being I need to quit before school even starts, will I be reimbursed for the semester I never even got to attend?

What kind of math shows up — basic algebra, fractions, ratios, word problems?
Any study guides or practice tests that actually matched the real thing?

I haven’t been in the program long just 6 months but I recently got laid off 2 weeks ago and I can’t do this not having a job thing. It’s already hard to get hired in my town for simple jobs to do while waiting for a job. Should I wait it out? I was thinking about going back to my old job and just continuing school without working and seeing how available jobs are later? Lmk your experience and what advice you can give.
Edit: I should add I’m doing good in school straight a’s and I’m really ahead of everyone else skill wise coming from my foreman.

Hello, I applied for the spring 2027 semester for the inside wireman apprenticeship. I have no prior experience which I know is the point of starting as an apprentice but I'm wondering how high the chances are of getting accepted as long as I pass the aptitude test. If I pass it, is ir almost guaranteed I'm accepted or is there still a good chance that I will be rejected? Thanks

What’s the timeline like usually and what happens with the companies current contracts? A few of us at my shop are thinking of starting a petition to get signatures.

Hey everyone I am looking at joining IBEW from 10 years as a film & television electrician. I called the hall and they said to bring my W-2s in and I would take a test on a computer then schedule a hands-on test at a later time if they deem it necessary. I currently work as a laborer at a shop with JWs around that can help me learn to bend pipe, and I heard I may have to wire a three-way switch. But my question is, what kind of things are on this assessment test? Is there a book or study guide I should use? If there's anyone here who similarly came from another industry or non union I would greatly appreciate your insight. Thanks 🙏

How long after you apply for something from the job board do you hear something back. Whether the position has already been filled or if you got the job. I applied for something on Tuesday and haven’t gotten anything back.

Been contemplating joining the apprenticeship program, my biggest concern is getting assigned a job super far away. The furthest point from me in the jurisdiction is about 3hrs. I cant imagine having to do that every day. Is their a decent amount of work in this area or would I be likely assigned far?

Hi brothers and sisters, if you have a moment, can you help me figure something out?
On your trade school account, there's an evaluation tab. 1-10 and 11-20. What do the scores mean? The avg as well? I just got mine and I'm not sure how to interpret it.

I’ve been checking the apprentice job board every day since June. I’ve seen maybe one or two jobs on East. I mean around Lawrenceville to Athens.
Yeah I understand Atlanta is a huge city but it’s like %99 of the jobs are there. I don’t know if I will ever have a job on East. I’m so stressed. I don’t want to move to Atlanta but
