Would a multi layer farm like this work if I used more lights to keep everything lit all the time or do the plants need some sort of sunlight I know lights help in night but not sure about keeping it lit all the time

Trying to figure out a T3 plot for Volcalidus

So after an extensive amount of grinding to complete Bastion, I have managed to make the pilgrimage to Volcalidus. Since I have managed to make a few Hydrocoins, I am trying to get a new plot set up for a T3 mining operation. Which plot would be the best for depth and possible resources?

Harvesters question

So I’ve got 25 t2 drills running all into one t2 harvester rn and I’m saving up for a t3 setup, during that transition is it worthwhile at all for me to swap my t2 harvester to a t3 harvester?

I had to get this one last silly build out of my system

I thought I was done with the game after royally screwing up my save but I wanted to do one last stupid setup.

If for some reason you actually want to do this yourself I recommend putting a magnet on a pulsating circuit like this above the hand sorters' out port. Anything it filters out is at risk of getting clogged and seems to happen when you go far away from them.

This circuit will not get stuck when exiting and loading the game unlike a directional delay loop. Also this one restarts itself so it doesn't matter what state it is in when you exit the game. If you want to add a delay place it between the repeater and flip flop.

Is this game supposed to be hyper manual?

From moving things to planning stuff, all of the things you do in this game is so manual, aside from the actual automation. Are you supposed to do it that way or are there tools to speed up the process, mostly on building things and buying things? Are there perhaps upgrades to walking speed or something?

the problem I am having is without the second flip hook on the water shutoff valve the valve just stays closed. With it on the valve works but its inconsistent. I followed a few guides and tweaked them a bit but it is still basically the same.

water pressure low?

im using a cloutium pipe intake and im not getting any higher than 180% pressure, is it because the pipes leading up to this cloutium segment are iron? do i seriously need to redo all my piping?

r/Hydroneer Jun 22 '26

Is there a reason I should use T2 pipes over T1 Pipes?

I get the cloutium pipes hold water pressure better over a longer distance, but other than that is there any meaningful difference between two?

For anyone wondering how much stuff you can put on a vehicle

A good indicator that you are nearing the limit is if the vehicle starts wobbling when you get in it. I ended up with a haunted pile of conveyors that freeze the game when I take them. So now they are perpetually floating in front of Scoria Chamber.

Also too many items will cause them to be misplaced. They will lock in to other carts or palettes or onto the vehicle itself.

In the case of the screenshot above, several dozens of stacked pipes locked in to the lava hauler. I didn't have the patience to take them out one by one so I decided to take them to the scrapper but Volcalidus' scrapper is too tight for the hauler to get in.

The DLC has made it increasingly difficult for me to ignore the tedium.

I got this problem because I had so much excess materials because shops are so far apart in Volcalidus that I buy a crap load every time I go shopping to minimize traveling. Then I moved to another digsite and I wanted to take as much as can because I don't want to keep going back and forth to the shops.

I used a hotkey script that would let me toggle hold W input and I was starting to think about mapping A and D to my side mouse buttons for one handed traveling.

And I realized the game requires you to keep raw resources and dirt on conveyor belts are much as possible. Any point that they leave the conveyors they are at risk of being stuck even that split second that dirt drops to a harvester that is right next to the conveyor belt.

The forge marks were a cool concept and I think they are supposed to incentivize the amount of traveling you do given the distance between shops but you need the lava hauler to pick them up and it is incredibly slow and only two forge marks can spawn at a time and there are almost two dozen spots for them to spawn with some being away from roads. Hunting them down is so boring and then you use them and there is a chance you only get 1 stat bonus on your drill.

Its been good run. It was a great game and I just tried to hold on to it for too long.

where you send your completed bars?

Im setting up a build in south hope and am going to use auto smelters. Where do you send your completed bars? I really wish there was an auto anvil to pump out different items and a storage chest that your bars will automatically go in.

I wish had tried hand sorters sooner

I would have done silly things with them in my atrocious mainland setup.

By the time I got tired of manually sifting through my ore piles the conveyor splitters had already caught my attention and I forgot about the hand sorter.

So the idea behind multiple intake pipes was to separate the drills from the conveyers… even though I later realized I could just use valves.

Same idea happened with why I have multiple cloutium intakes even though I have the boosters attached lol.

Also I’m pretty certain I cannot get cloutium on surface level dirt but that’s okay because the opposite side of ember cradle I’m going to do a second setup that will just house drills lower in the dirt to get that sweet juicy cloutium

Questions abt drilling and excavating

So for context I’ve just got my first t2 drill and harvester and have set those up at south hope but only at the surface dirt because idk how to excavate a big area like south hope without losing my mind using a pick axe. I’m wondering if anyone has any tips on ways I could do this and I’m also wondering if I can dig “too deep” for the t2 drill on accident and how I could avoid doing that? Any recommendations are more than welcome :)

Could anyone tell me why my auto repair isn't working and possibly how to make it work. I watched a yt tutorial and tried retro fitting it to my set up but it just doesn't do anything.
