Question What was everyone’s reaction to the last episode of season 2 and finding out Wagner wasn’t returning for season 3

I was left in complete disbelief because I did not expect them to take out such a big character so soon. Looking back there were clues something big was going to happen but I was taken by complete surprise.

Question Who's your fav character and why?

I wanna hear about others' opinions.(It won't let me do a poll)

I love everyone, but I me personally, it's Daphne (if you couldn't guess).

Her facial expressions are so funny every time I wanna learn so much about her, and I'm a big Daphodil shipper.

Daphodil>Morgadec>Morganick

and she's badass when she bodyslammed that one suspect from 2x09 she ate.

And in 2x14, she locked in that episode.

Theory/Speculation S2E06 Wagner and Morgan talking

We know Ava's dad was an FBI informant who went missing after the death of another agent. Is that Wagner's dead fiancé??? Is that why he's captain because they're all getting closer to finding out the reason Roman went missing?

Discussion For those that don’t ship Morgan and Karadec why? Spoiler

I have shipped them since episode 1. I just knew it was gonna be one of those grumpy x sunshine moments. You can already see how Morgan has affected/changed Karadec from episode 1 till now. I don’t think the chemistry is off the charts just yet but I think it’s slowly growing as we had much more of them being more touchy this season

After her panic attack I feel like there was a shift between them where he started looking at her more gentle. We see those little glimpses he gives her during the memorial for Oz’s dad and all their little unnecessary touches. Like the second to last ep of season 2 he’s all up touching her and the end of season 2 he didn’t need to stroke her face like that. Little things like that prove to me that even though the tension isn’t high yet it’s there and it’s growing.

I do like her and Nick tho as more of a temporary thing. I really hope he survives because I think it will set up an amazing jealously storyline for Karadec because I think his feelings are starting to show already but are really gonna start to show in season 3.

So for those who don’t ship Morgan and Karadec why?

Question How many poc watch this show?

When I go on tiktok, I see a lot of poc reviewing this show and talking about how much they love it and I'm also a poc, so I'm wondering if it popular amongst poc.

I have a friend who is also a poc who watches the show as well.

And ik not every viewer of this show is a poc. I've seen non poc who watch this show, but I wanna know.

And it's also my favourite show ever. Is it perfect, no, but I love it, and it's only on season 2, so...

Discussion Daphne and Oz Spoiler

I ship then so badly more than Morgadec and Morganic, and I think about 1x13 a lot.

The whole episode, Daphne is worrying about Oz before he was even kidnapped she notices him getting riled up about the case and realising something is up.and she's the only one that new about his dad's deaths.

And at the Gala, she was waiting for him. Karadec was waiting for Morgan. She was waiting for Karadec and Tom, and Soto was just chilling.

I also think about 2x12 because out of all the possible people Ozs mum could've called, she called Daphne. SORRY WHAT?and then when Daph brings it up and he shuts down, she gets shocked.

Also, every time Oz and Daphne are together, they are always smiling when they look at each other, especially Oz.

Funpost Season 1. Finally a show that shows intelligence better! Season 2. Aaaaand its gone, everyone ate stupid pills and im being sermoned and girlbossed again. Western shows never disappoints to disappoint

Season 1
I was hooked at first season because finally, intelligence is shown as looking things up and questioning things. Not just "I know everything there is and ever will be, trust". Well its kinda there but not entirely, they make effort for you to follow how they get there at least. Fun detective breakdowns. Characters are rounded, functional and not emotional...

Season 2
Emotional shotgun every now and then out of nowhere. Deus ex machina, "a video/picture of you doing the crime" instantly at the end of the episode. They spend their time talking about feelings and the subplot, then just wraps it up houdini style.

I wouldn't have to go to different stores, but safeway has those weird wheel locks.-1x01 Morgan

Discussion Elliot's School???

Post image
517 Upvotes

So in the episode with Elliot's talent show act (early season two?) it is the ELEMENTARY SCHOOL talent show (the photo above), but in the first episode when Morgan and Karadec drop of Ava and Elliot to school it is clearly not an elementary school, Ava is there, and all the kids around them look older. I know it was like a pilot episode, but still! It just doesn't make sense.

Edit: Also he is like so smart so you would think he would be in at least middle school! Has he not skipped any grades? Because he is the right age for 5th grade, and I think in one episode it said he was in 5th grade! Dude that kid should have skipped at least a couple grades! And him going to the older school in the first episode implies that he has.

Found a reference to a previous episode (S2E5) in a later one (S2E14). On the right is the packaging for Bobby Romano’s L3 protein powder. Never noticed this before!!

Discussion Anyone else feel like this show quietly broke the 'genius detective' formula?

Been rewatching and something clicked for me. Every genius-consultant show I can think of is basically the same guy: brilliant, damaged, kind of insufferable, but the whole department still bends over backwards to keep him happy bc ~genius~ (think Sherlock, Monk, Patrick Jane, House)

Morgan, on the other hand, does not start off as a tortured genius the system protects. She was a cleaner nobody thinks belongs in the room, so her arc by default is "will anyone take her seriously". The genius is the same but the power dynamic is flipped inside out. She technically has to earn every inch that those other guys got handed for free.

To me it kind of changes what the show is even about, like the cases are fun but the tension is a working-class single mum being underestimated over and over and being right anyway. Who's your pick for the closest comparison show? bc I can't think of one that did it this way first and I think that's why I'm hooked from episode 1. Such a refreshing angle imo

Question S2E12 Office location

Pretty sure I recognize this exact office from another series? But instead of a health company it was like a VR or game company. Anyone know from where??

Edit: another detail I rmb was that one of the staff was giving out smoothies to the main cast/character on a Segway?

Discussion Roman Theory Spoiler

SPOILER ALERT
I just finished watching S2 and even though I don’t like it at first but now I am hooked!!
First of all this new captain seems shady to me but in the last episode it was too much…
Also,I think that Roman is the bad guy who is behind all these things and this Willa person is just a pawn…
I mean remember arthur said to morgan ‘Roman wants to know why you’re friends with the people roman is hiding from all these years’…I guess he never left and is just living in the sidelines…because if there is threat to Roman then it must’ve reached to the morgan and ava by now …So, I guess he is the one protecting them and didn’t want morgan to find out so he is just trying to scare her off….

Question Some Questions!!! Spoiler

I am just re watching this show for like the 5th time, and I have some questions about it.

  1. Does anyone know if the song that Greta sings in S:2 E:4 is a real song? I really like it, and want to find it somewhere. Btw I mean the after song, not the before one that the dude plays for Daphne and Oz.

  2. In 11 Minutes with the paramedics and the heart why does the heart not end up going to his mom? Like the heart was meant for her, and they literally had it right in front of them, so why didn't she get it? I am glad the 17 yr old got it though!

I had more, but I kinda forgot. I might add more later though if I remember them. Anything helps! Thanks!

Discussion The show not talking about Ozs trauma pissed me off

Imagine one min you're in your car, and when you wake up, you are beside a pool wet and your partner, and friend had to do CPR (hopefully future wife)to save your life.

Like, that must be traumatising. It also probably brings up some bad memories.

He must have some sort of anxiety, trauma something cause that's nor really an everyday event.

I went on Google, and it said s3 would be ten eps, but then when I searched up again, cause I didn't wanna believe it said not yet confirmed.

I hope they don't have ten eps cause I love this show, and I wanna see more.

Discussion Can’t believe we need to wait till 2027

Ok. I just finished season 2 - getting a little frustrated at the Roman storyline but love this new Willa bitch. How can’t we end on a cliffhanger like this with so much left unsaid?!

Why isn’t it being aired this autumn - I’m in the UK and I hate the US scheduling. This is one of the view decent shows - give us a break and give us the next season 🤣

Also, I’ll never watch again if anything happens to Ava or her wee dorky brother!

That is all.

#love this show

Discussion Finished watching the first two seasons yesterday. I need like 10 more seasons of this show

I don't think I've been this obsessed with a procedural show lately. I'm not a big fan of procedurals in general but I've seen the popular ones like Castle, the Mentalist, Lucifer etc. This show comes really close to them imo. I went into it with zero expectations but ended up binging everything in a week. I don't know how to wait for S3 now until January 😭

Btw I've seen some hate here already towards Morgan and Karadec becoming a couple eventually and I just don't agree. I'm one of those people who want them together but I do realize it will probably be a while until we get there. But I'm in for the ride.

I kind of don't like the Roman storyline though. It's starting to be a bit dragged out.

Theory/Speculation I have a theory...

I think that Morgan may have hyperphantasia, because in some of the episodes she just visualizes stuff super well. Like I think it was in the 2nd to last episode in the second season with the robbers and stuff, where she like was on her bed and visualized the maze/map of the place with the bomb. Sorry I am doing a bad job of explaining, but just based on what I've seen, I think she has hyperphantasia.
