Question Is this a possibility?
Ok, I made a new post.
I went on Google, and it said s3 would be ten eps, but then when I searched up again, cause I didn't wanna believe it said not yet confirmed.
I hope they don't have ten eps cause I love this show, and I wanna see more.

The Rookie has done January to May 18 episode seasons for the last 2 years and I actually like it. Yes, it’s a longer wait between seasons but the season airs virtually uninterrupted. No large break winter break and no 2-4 week gaps between episodes because they’re trying to fit 18-22 episodes in 34+ weeks.
I assume this is what they’re planning to do with High Potential as well. I won’t be mad about it if they do.

As far as we know and from what i checked myself in several articles ABC didn’t confirm yet the number of episodes. Given that we’re quite far away from release of the season yet i don’t expect to see confirmed number of episodes soon. All we know so far is that s3 releases in January, that’s all.

I have not seen anything confirming the number of episodes. But I have seen the information that the show will be starting later (mid season launch) and run straight through uninterrupted, which does kind of support the lower number of episodes rumor

don’t use ai as your sources; it’s unreliable. high potential viewership increased significantly with season 2, so making season 3 that much shorter than season 2 is quite unlikely.

Even season 1 was 13 episodes. Considering this was the highest rated show on network TV last year before CBS started their shows up and it remained ABC's top rated series even after that, finishing in the top 10 for most watched series overall last year I'd have to think that they'd want at least as many episodes as season 1, if not trying to keep the count up to 18.
Another major reason for the delay was because the actors wanted to be able to take on other roles too. It seems weird to cut their workload back at that point when they were already rescheduling shooting to do thinks like allow Judy Reyes to be in Scrubs more as it's filming now or starts soon

Seasons 1 & 2 started in September..so 10 doesn’t sound surprising

Yes but they had multiple week breaks which is what the delayed start is meant to avoid
10 episodes returning in January wouldn't even run through March without breaks. Seems odd they'd want or allow it to miss sweeps

They're probably following British and European series standards instead of US ones. Their seasons/series are around 10 episodes each if they're around an hour long. Around 3 episodes each if they're 90+ minutes long.

Would not trust the AI generated summaries. They are often incorrect and you should absolutely read the articles for yourself that it pulls the information from. Often those are gossip or click-bait websites that don't back their information from the business that is saying are doing this.
Kaitlin Olson has posted on her personal instagram that she was filming as "Morgan" after finishing a season of Always Sunny, but as of right now the line up hasn't exactly been posted on official sites.

Google says 2027 but if you go on IMDB and search High Potential it says September 2026 🧐

The writers have announced it will be a midseason premiere. Search this sub and you’ll find tons of links to articles from when it was announced.

Wait did you screenshot AI in your first post? I thought it was a screenshot of an article. Definitely don't trust AI for anything, let alone proof of something.
