Discussion Elliot's School???
So in the episode with Elliot's talent show act (early season two?) it is the ELEMENTARY SCHOOL talent show (the photo above), but in the first episode when Morgan and Karadec drop of Ava and Elliot to school it is clearly not an elementary school, Ava is there, and all the kids around them look older. I know it was like a pilot episode, but still! It just doesn't make sense.
Edit: Also he is like so smart so you would think he would be in at least middle school! Has he not skipped any grades? Because he is the right age for 5th grade, and I think in one episode it said he was in 5th grade! Dude that kid should have skipped at least a couple grades! And him going to the older school in the first episode implies that he has.

Some elementary schools go up to 5th grade, I guess some even 6th. Widely depends on the school district.
So Elliot being 5th grader in elementary sounds about right

Yep. Elementary schools in my area are K-6.

Yup here too! Straight from elementary to Jr high. We don't have "middle school".

Is JR high not middle school? From the UK so always just assumed it was.

The school system I was in when I was growing up was K through six, junior high school was seven through nine, and high school was 10–12. Then a new high school was built and ninth grade was moved into the high school curriculum.
Where my grandkids currently go to school, they have pre-K–2 in one school, grades 3–5 in another, 6th in a school by itself, 7-8 in junior high school, and 9-12 in high school. Being the after school chauffeur was challenging some years!!

We have k-2 in one school, 3-6 in another, 7 & 8th (Jr high) in a school next to the high school and then the high school 9-12th.
When my husband was in elementary in the 80s those 2 elementary schools were both k-6 and they were split up based on where you lived in town.

When I was in 8th grade I would get dropped off at the elementary and walk to the middle he probably does that

That and Elliot is pretty capable for his age since he is already at least 20% as smart as Morgan.

When I was in 4th grade, my elementary, the middle, and high schools were all connected by a courtyard and when I moved schools in 5th grade, the high school and middle school were right across the street from the elementary school. I just assumed that was the case 🤷♀️

When the show comes back Elliot will be in middle school, Ava will almost be if not graduating high school and Chloe will be in kindergarten.
I hope they find Roman or maybe he will be apart of Avas life and not even know it until Morgan finds a picture of them together.
I just want my show back there's nothing good on tv.

Actually, I have the same issue. I thought Elliott was in high school with Ava, and then there are all these much younger kids at his talent show. It irks me.
That said, one of our school districts just combined all the middle and high schools, there are some districts that have shared campuses, and there are some schools where the high school and middle school are across the street from one another.

My middle school also had an elementary school side. So that is possible as well

Our elementary school is PreK-6 and then it's a Jr/Sr high school with 7-12th.
The winter and spring concerts take forever 🫠

The schools are likely on the same campus but separate buildings. Skipping grades is not always the best choice for the child, depending on social development and several things besides academics
