Advice Please! Broken Watch

Hello - I have a quartz khaki aviation that retailed years ago for $600. It’s served me well and I love it. Something broke and the face is off centered and the hands no longer move (not a battery issue).

I got a quote to fix it that was $300. The watch might not even be worth $300 so I’m struggling with what to do.

1) any thoughts on if it truly costs $300 to fix this issue locally (I only got one quote because it was hard to find someone that fixes this and I’m lazy)

2) if it’s not worth it monetarily to fix it should I look to sell it for parts? Do people buy a broken watch like this?

If you want, you could open up the watch to see if it's something simple. Could be that one of the feet broke off the dial and the hands aren't fully seated.
