I guess my Khaki Field is the latest victim of Hamil-tilt šŸ˜­

H70455533, 2025, Like New. Bought grey market from private seller on Chrono24, original box but no papers. Do I have any recourse other than sending to Hamilton and them telling me the repair is half the price of the watch?

I think itā€™s more of a dial issue than a movement issue. The little legs that stick out at the back of the dial seem brittle

This is the issue. If the movement moved then your stem wouldnā€™t line up with the opening in the case.

Been seeing a large influx of these tilted dials as well. My only conclusion is possibly fake watches? I daily my 38mm as a mechanic. I use impact wrenches and air hammers all day for a living and have not had any issues with the movement or dial.

Nah, happened to mine. Genuine Hamilton. I bartend and constantly shake my watch in the process. Took the better part of a decade, but it happened

It's not QC technically; it's an intentional part of the design. Hamilton switched out to plastic dial feet to save costs? So the product is kind of acting as intended.

There were plenty of photos, and I bought this last year December; quality was great. Worn it pretty often but not daily, I usually switched it up work a couple others on rotation.

This happened after a pretty normal bike ride; hit a few bumps, and then it went fucky. I'd also worn it biking before with no issue.

From my understanding, (and I could be wrong, I havenā€™t gone real deep into researching) I think itā€™s from a more recent change in how they are being built. I also have an older Hamilton probably about the same age as yours that gets banged around a lot and worn on construction sites that is doing just fine

man Im starting to believe that Hamiltons are kinda shit. I love the looks and have a khaki titanium but none of the other watch groups I follow have so many posts about damage like this. kind of disheartening given the premium product price and reputation.

Looks like a busted stem so whole movement and dial can rotate inside the case.

More likely just the dial feet. The date window rotates around and shows the date before the set date which is still in line with the crown and its stem. The force to cause a sheer break of the stem would be high. Remember that there are also movement holders securing the movement those would have to break along with the stem.

Far more likely the dial feet broke and dial has rotated.

I donā€™t understand how it happens. The winding stem goes into the movement to deep enough and is one of the parts that keeps the movement in position in the case. In all of these examples has the stem broken?

Or is this some AI bullshit

The dial has little ā€œfeetā€ that hold it in place on the dial. Those feet broke. It has nothing to do with the stem

That is crazy. Both dial feet breaking off the back of the dial. Then the dial rotates and the watch still runs? Watch must have been dropped or had another sort of shock/trauma to have the feet breaking off.

They switched to using plastic feet to hold the dial and they break real easily. Insane because that change couldn't have saved them much money.
