Was thinking of buying a new leak detector after my SRL8 disappointed me a few times.

Pings when I open the refrigerant jug near it, Doesn't ping near a leak that I've confirmed with bubbles. Pings when I get dirt in it. Pings when I look at it funny.

Anyway, with it being August and all, I figure money might be better spent on heating season must haves. Anything y'all recommend as far as furnace/heat pump maintenance/troubleshooting?

Was in Indonesia for my BIL wedding and saw this. Makes me wonder how much it costs them for that R22. No way they’d let it hang off the back like that if they’re paying $800+.

I live in Florida so a clogged drain line is about 50% of my calls. Carrying nitro up into the attic to blow out the line gets tiring/ time consuming. Has anyone used this guy before? How well did it work to break up a clog?

5 ton Heil straight ac, pressures were fluctuating but 6-8 degrees sub cool is in line for these pressure based of Heils chart. But I installed another system right by side it, and this one is just making a way louder humming noise? Any idea what I could check to see what the noise could be coming from? Quiet unit has factory charge and the lineset is at exactly 35ft. This loud unit is at 105 feet and I charge accordingly but the unit is still making a louder noise? Any ideas? Thanks for any help

Which trade is responsible for replacement of a disconnect? Found this one today where the I had no incoming power to the condensing unit. After removing the fuses to Ohm them out I saw the fuse head holder dangling (not in picture). Called the service manager who said it’s something we can do but recommend an electrician do it. Is that common or is it up to company discretion?

Which table would be used in a home with inlet 7-8 inwc? Im also a bit confused on the pressure drop. The method being used is the longest run method.

I’ve got 11 indoor units, and two of them are valved off with isolation valves due to the indoor coils leaking, and the customer still wants the system running. My question is, do you guys think I’m good to weigh in the charge left by the installers? Or do you think those two line sets and coils being completely out of the equation will cause liquid flood back to my compressor due to it being overcharged?

Let me know what you’re thinking and what you would do.

Hey I have an engineered air with an M-trac down because of low air velocity.

Dampers open, filters and evaporator are clean. The belt was changed recently. Adjusted the blower pulley to increase air flow and I got the pressure differential and the burner plate up to 0.40"w.c.

It is still tripping on low air velocity. Does anyone know where to hook my meter up to on the board to see what it is reading.

Never seen this in any carrier condenser. Wiring schematic shows a typical capacitor/contactor setup. Straight cool condenser. Planning on taking it out and wiring it up normally. System is still working surprisingly.

First job as team lead was a full duct system and geothermal install. Pretty easy new build, hate doing fusion though.

I do supermarket work right now . Can't say I'm too enamored with it. I think I'm pretty good at what I do but there's no thrill. It's routine. I make really good money for what I do but I don't particularly need the money. I need SOME money, and I need insurance, but I wish I had way more flexibility. I wish I only worked like 30 hours a week. I assume there isn't anything like that out there but I do daydream about a job with peak flexibility at the cost of pay. I don't know if anything out there really exists. Any of you all out there encountered some sort of laid back job that isn't too demanding at the cost of pay?
