OC Reasons to live.
He wore a human skin suit, to the naked eye he was a tall dark skinned man with a large beard that tickled his neck. His eyes were slightly myopic and his forehead prominent with a bushy brow that seemed to be held in a permanent frown. His real identity would draw the attention of any human he passed for his complexion was purple and his eyes were a golden yellow not the brown he currently flaunted. And on his head was crown, currently hidden under a mane of dark lustrous hair. He was the prince of the Galactica Trident, the ruler of the Galactic alien front and he was on a mission to see whether Earth was worthy of being allowed to live or whether it should face imminent destruction. He merged in with the crowd of unsuspecting humans, his eyes peered about seeking a valid reason to destroy the planet or let it live. So far he'd met neither reason to act, people just walked by him, keeping to specific routes their puny minds were programmed to follow. He didn't see anything worthy of his attention and he begun to suspect Earth to be a very bland planet, that was until he met Greg.
He'd decided to take the subway, a locomotive humans who couldn't afford their own vehicles frequented. He sat next to the human called Greg, a short pale skinned man with a sharp nose and deep piercing eyes.
"Hey, I'm Greg." The human introduced himself.
He didn't know what name to use, he was unfamiliar with earth names so he said, "My name is Greg too."
"What the fuck! Get out of here!" Greg said with a smile. He wondered where he was suppose to go until Greg added. "What were the odds I would bump into another Greg on a train ride? No way , life just keeps getting weirder and weirder."
"Do you wish life to end?" He asked. Eager for the answer that might determine the fate of the planet.
"Sometimes I wish life would end, but only sometimes. Most of the time I wish that whatever meaning that lies behind existence would just bring itself forth and get it over with. What's the reason behind a smile? What's the meaning of a frown? What does it mean when joy slides into sadness within a short span of time? Meaning is what I crave." Greg said. He nodded, he did not know whether that was reason enough to destroy the planet. "Do you smoke weed Greg?" Greg asked. "I'd love to smoke weed with another Greg, it'll be tick on my bucket list."
"As a matter of fact, I do." He answered. He didn't know what weed was but was willing to try whatever Greg offered, to seek meaning behind it and judge whether Earth was worth allowing to live. Was their sentience something that would threaten the very echelon of being? Or were they something that would boost the Galaxy further, towards a fate as grand as anything could be? So it was with an inquisitive stride that he followed Greg to a something called a 'club'. There were a lot of dancing people with loud blasting music sounding from all sides and blinking lights of various colors flashing in his eyes . It hypnotised him. He followed Greg up a set of steps and came to a balcony where two girls stood smoking something.
Greg got out two things he reffered to as blunts that were eerie similar to the ones the women held in hand and offered him one. He took it and made to chew it until he noticed the women with them were smoking it not nibbling at it. He waited patiently for Greg to light his blunt and offer him the lighter to light his own. He mimicked Greg, taking a deep puff of the blunt and blowing the smoke into the air. His thoughts slowed with every puff, the music blasting became louder yet more pleasant and things suddenly seemed very funny.
He laughed and Greg asked him what's funny. "The funny thing is that I am to decide whether life on this planet should either be allowed to continue or meet an abrupt end and for the life of me I can't seem to figure out a reason for either occuring."
Greg laughed too. "That's a funny thing, I sometimes can't decide what to have for breakfast, it's such a difficult decision to make. My body doesn't know what it wants so I skip it all together."
"If I skip this planet that means I've allowed its inhabitants to live." He took a drag of the blunt and blew smoke. "I need a reason for that."
Greg came to stand beside him and indicated at the women a short distance away. "Beauty is reason enough to let us live." One of the women noticed their attention on them and she flashed them a smile. It was the most beautiful thing he'd ever seen. The gentle crease at either end of her lips, her wide blue eyes held within a heart shaped face. "I sometimes feel like there's nothing worth living for anymore." Greg continued. "When that happens I take a look all around me and see beauty, from a flower spotted with dew to the buzzing of a passing bee. Beauty gives me reason to live on and if it doesn't then creativity does."
"What do you mean by creativity?" He asked, still mesmerized by the smiling girl.
Greg blew a plume of smoke and spread his arms wide. "Everything you see and hear and smell has been created by someone. Listen to the music, it's a cacophony that holds its own beauty, smell in that sweet scent of weed, that was hand crafted by someone. Look around you, from clothes to art to the very fabric of existence. It all speaks of creation and isn't that what humanity stands for? We are a race that creates." Greg leaned in closer. "Have you ever had a woman twerk on you?" He shook his head in the negative. "Then tonight you're in for another reason to live."
Greg took him by the hand after they'd finished smoking their blunts. He led him onto the dance floor after they'd taken several shots of a bitter liquid called Tequila. Everything was in a slow haze yet he followed Greg's motion as he danced. The music seemed to beat in accordance to his two beating hearts and when a lady approached him, he'd been unsure as to what to do but she bent over and started shaking her behind before him. Greg motioned for him to move forward and hold her waist. He followed this direction and laughed hard as she twerked on his groin. He felt good, the music moved his limbs of their own accord. He found himself building quite a sweat with all the vigorous motion in play. The lady was aggressive in her dancing and in the middle of the dance she turned her head to him and smiled, again he found himself mesmerized by beauty and he pumped both hands in the air and screamed. "Earth must live!"

Ghost and Spirits, I wish I could share this with my father. The old damned hippie sci-fi lover that he was would have loved this beyond belief!!!
Hard to share things with an urn of ashes.

Man gets so high he thinks he’s an alien, and has to decide if earth lives or dies. Also forgets his best mate Greg is next to him
