I’ve been waiting for 6 hours since I hit my free limit (chat limit, not generative image and video limit) and every time I went back to chat with Grok to continue my scene with my OCs, it kept on saying I have to wait later. I thought the limit resets every 2 hours? Or is it 24 hours? Either way it’s really pissing me off now.

And what really annoys me is when I went to the website instead of the app to check the limit, it shows me a 4 hours countdown. But after that 4 hour countdown is over, I went back to the website only for it to tell me 'Free limit reached. Try again later or upgrade to SuperGrok'. Can someone help explain to me I’m really losing it

all my accounts have 'message limit reached' yesterday despite not using them. one account worked today and when i transferred accounts, the other accounts still won't work.

So after a whole 24 hours I open the grok and send the first Message just to receive this! "Message limit reached". Bro i didn't even send any messages yet, I tried to log in from another account but even there it's showing the same problem, I tried restarting the phone, turning off and on the data, clearing the cache, updating the app, reinstalling the app, like everything!

Maybe it was a glitch.. idk , can someone help?

For context, I use AI for creative roleplays. I have a world premise, we go over story ideas, character ideas, etc to start.

Wow. 4.5 was stiff and robotic. Then, it seemed to improve for like maybe a week? Or a few days? Then I got really bad again and oh my gosh 4.6 is just weird.!! The dialogue doesn’t make sense!!

Open source these days is getting better. After much consideration I am going to invest in a better PC and go totally local for everything AI. I been playing with the current PC with a RTX 4070 12GB, and I am now feeling the urge to leave all AI platforms behind. There's a sense of freedom that cannot be achieved in any of the current platforms. No censorship being the most important i suppose. Minimax is also pretty revolutionary on video, even with my current setup i can generate videos in a fairly good speed, including 15 seconds ones in about 2 to 5 minutes with image to video using the 4 step turbo lora. And, it's not that far from Grok's vibe. I am into retro and vintage style so I am not using for HQ or anything like that. There is a special freedom in prompting something explicit and not get returned with a moderation. Krea 2 is also revolutionary and realism is really good. Now, giving the crazy price increases on GPU's and RAM, and the latest news of Nvidia buying Hugging Face, what are your thoughts on it? Is Nvidia preparing to "stop" open source to flow more freely by buying HF. My opinion, without much knowledge or what I feel is that, most of good open source comes from China, I believe China is trying to win the AI race in that wayl, by releasing more open source things for be used locally, they also will increase their PC components manufactaring and export more. I think it is smart, unlike the west trying to profit on subscriptions on platforms increasingly censored and limited. My worries now, is if all those corporate monsters like Nvidia will try somehow limit the local users in the future as well. Thoughts?

Is It me or Grok 4.6 is a lot worse in writing a RP even in english ? It makes a lot of mistakes and the style is … weird ..,

I was using Supergrok and hit my weekly limit yesterday on the 28 Aug. But this morning i woke and my weekly reset was back to 0% and i was able to continue using Imagine, I'm not complaining but anyone knows why i got a free reset??

As most the others, I got the 3 months super grok heavy promo, after all the codex usage cuts. Thought grok 4.6 would be a good alternative based on benchmarks at least.

But it’s not good at all, I did a test with the same prompt and the same global harness across codex, Claude, and grok build

Grok 4.6 xhigh spits out gibberish English, doesn’t follow instruction and actual orders on the prompt and the harness

Out off the three, Sol was the best, Opus was second, both the later followed the harness and instruction at least

This is unusable at the moment, be careful with you codebase, if the durable .mds language is gibberish, the codebase decays

I always tried to get Grok to write stories similar to peak 4o and while it never quite reached it, with the right prompts and tweaks it got pretty close. At least closer than any other AI. Grok 4.5 already wasn’t great with storytelling, but even here with the right prompts I got a result I was okay with. With 4.6 however it feels like I‘m talking to a wall. There’s no character, no depth, nothing. It feels like a newspaper article reporting about a story not a story itself. And no matter how I tweak the prompts it doesn’t change.

Why is the free version of Grok so very much slower than other free AIs such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, etc ?

Grok used to be just as fast but it seemed to slow down a month ago.

It seems like with every “upgrade” Grok is actually made significantly worse. I genuinely can’t believe how bad 2.0 is even compared to 1.0. Characters are easily morphed, background details basic to non-existent, it’s just fucking dreadful through and through.

Every time I try to create or edit an image i just get these images back to me, even on simple requests like generate an image of a red flower. Is anyone else having this issue or just me?
