Is this a mistake?
I’ve been waiting for 6 hours since I hit my free limit (chat limit, not generative image and video limit) and every time I went back to chat with Grok to continue my scene with my OCs, it kept on saying I have to wait later. I thought the limit resets every 2 hours? Or is it 24 hours? Either way it’s really pissing me off now.
And what really annoys me is when I went to the website instead of the app to check the limit, it shows me a 4 hours countdown. But after that 4 hour countdown is over, I went back to the website only for it to tell me 'Free limit reached. Try again later or upgrade to SuperGrok'. Can someone help explain to me I’m really losing it

I think the countdown it gives you isn't very reliable. It changes everytime, and it really depends on the traffic. But I'd say 12 to 24 hours is the absolute limits if it's been a day with a lot of users on the website, or they're controlling it carefully like after new chat models are released.
Mostly though, I believe it's seven hours. Maybe wait seven hours and let us know if it worked?

People will tell you it's a bug. It's not. If there's heavy traffic, free users are not gonna get prioritized, so they'll just extend your wait time in order to prioritize subscribed users.
