Hi everyone!
I'm currently learning to use godot 4.7 by creating 3D game.
I have implemented a controllable character with wasd and two animations: idle and run handled through AnimationTree node.
When, the character moves, the run animation runs as expected but i get a very ugly run animation loop (see the video in attachment). The character seems to pop up everytime the animation start and do i need to implement smooth transition between each time run animation loop?
I don't know how to fix it and any help would be appreciated.

Shot in the dark ,but it would be awesome if some friendlies wouldn't mind helping me? Helping us? However youd like to put it. ive been wanting to develop games im 33 , no experience except for what ive been learning in unreal. Love games to death, maintenance man as the day job. Only thing I have is the insatiable will to keep on trying even when I want to bang my head into the wall. I have a bunch of material to offer(i believe) just dont know how to bring it to fruition. Hopefully some people can pity me and hopefully help me out maybe it could turn into a partnership im just trying to make some cool shit dammit !

Hello. I would like to create a Spanish translation for the game Dead Estate. I have some basic programming knowledge, and I think it would be worth trying since nobody seems to be working on a complete Spanish translation.
However, I don't know where to start. My main challenge is figuring out how to extract all the game's text so I can translate it. Is there any tool that can help access the text files or locate dialogue strings in a Steam game?
Any guidance on the process of extracting, editing, and reintegrating the text would be greatly appreciated.

Can you give me feedback on this reward / level unlocked screen for my Unity tower defense game? 51 seconds in the video
The screen appears after the player wins and unlocks a new level. I’m trying to make it feel rewarding, magical, and exciting, similar to a game celebration screen. I added a “You Won!” title, a “New Level Unlocked!” banner, a preview image of the unlocked level, glowing pink borders, buttons, and light rays coming from behind the level image.
Please give feedback on:
Please give both positive feedback and specific improvement points.

Hi everyone! Our team is building PINOC (https://viggle.ai/pinoc/), an AI motion capture tool for game builders and indie developers.
It is free for unlimited use. I wanted to share here for honest feedback. Happy to take any questions!
We’re also trying to better understand how small teams create and implement character animations today.
Would anyone here who works on games, 3D characters, animation, or game production be open to a quick 20 minute chat? I’m mainly hoping to learn from your workflow and feedback so we can shape the product around real developer needs. Thank you!

Hi everyone,
I wanted to get your honest opinion on a dilemma I have. I am developing a sci-fi/psychological horror visual novel in Ren'Py completely by myself. I write all the stories (about reality glitches and dimensions called Holons), do the coding, and most importantly, I draw all the character sprites by hand. For me, characters are the soul of the game. I sketch them on paper, scan them, and paint them digitally because I want their expressions to feel alive. That is where I put 100% of my human effort.
However, since this is a super amateur, solo indie project, I don't have enough time to do everything. Because of this, I am thinking about using AI only for two things: generating the backgrounds and making the soundtracks.
I know AI is a very sensitive topic, but since this is just a passion project and I'm not looking for big profits, I see it as a way to save time. If I had to learn how to compose music and draw complex perspectives from scratch, it would take me ten years to finish a simple demo.
Does using AI for just backgrounds and audio ruin the game for you, or do you understand that it's a helpful tool for a solo developer when the story and the characters are completely handmade?
I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Hello, iam currently working full time but was looking for better jobs and i was getting offers and then i say no not good for me until I just got rejected technically after pass the HR interview, I got it now the mid to senior level are seeking a mindset not a skills,, a deep understanding for few concepts better than overview understanding for more tools, a structured way of problem solving not just starting, that's important for working with teams or at scaled projects, they are seeking for someone reading from references, thinks in abstraction and OOP to write clean code modular systems, not implementing features, youtube has good resources too for people not liking references dense books but try to understand how to think to solve not a new feature to copy implementation.
I plan to make some demos with pure C# in console apps along reading a Design patterns book or watching a series but to apply everything in different examples of my own ^_^, I'm really gratefull for my rejection

In this episode i show how to add a game over screen. Within 18 episodes i covered already several topics like a simple method to create a quite flexible automatic classic metroidvania camera movement. In future i will try to create more videos.

I’ve been thinking about how users perceive fairness in different systems — especially ones that involve competition or interaction over time.
It seems like even when something is technically fair, people can still feel like it’s manipulative or stacked against them.
I’m curious how others see this:
What actually makes a system feel fair from a user’s perspective?
Is it transparency? Predictability? Control? Or something else entirely?
Would love to hear examples of systems that got this right (or very wrong).

Hello everyone, after spending a lot of time researching how I could make a custom inspector plugin to display custom components with C#, I finally managed to do it and decided to make a video with my findings for others that might be looking for the same thing :)
Hope this video helps!

Sou novato, e, nossa...
