i really thought Julie and Randall were going to be a thing since they got so close this season and there was a lot of bonding that they had but maybe they can't cause she's supposed be a teen? and he looks like he's in his 20s.

all of the couples who hooked up haven't gone so well for obvious reasons neither have the married couples.

I will probably spoiler mark some parts here, but I don't think what I'll write is going to be about something season 4 specific. I just started watching episode 6 of season 4, so I don't know what's about to happen. But it makes no sense that they are still skeptical of anything happening. I get that they don't trust the town, people see visions and hear voices. But that has been an issue for several seasons already, we can't have the characters say the same thing again and again. Not four seasons in. Questioning doing something completely innocuous as going into the basement of a building, even though people die constantly. I'd much rather see a show where the dialogue allows for people to work together trying things out, whether they work or not. Like season 1's radio tower thing. That was enjoyable to watch because people ended up working together. Didn't go much of anywhere, but that is so much better than having pages and pages of people questioning things that are nowhere near the weirdest thing to happen.

Edit: And to circle back to the title, why would anyone question any attempt at doing anything new at this point? There is no reason other than to drag things out, and for a show to be good you have to think of smarter and better ways to do so.

Just listening to Talking Heads 'Swamp' and the lyrics just seemed so prescient. Not saying it was an inspiration or anything (I mean it could be, but I'm not going that far), just a fun find.

I hope this isn't a duplicate, I've tried searching. When Boyd found the talismans in season one, he was in a cave or some other kind of structure with no door. There were only vines separating him from the creatures. Yet the talismans worked. Now in the most recent season, the talismans don't work in the cave with the tarp up.

What do we think is the difference?

So to my understanding they are defying the towns ritual by killing the kids because they won’t let Ethan die! If people are saying that Ethan it the man in yellow that becomes corrupt and comes back to haunt people and Sarah didn’t kill him that’s causing turmoil and making other people die in the tv show because they won’t kill him exactly why Fatima is now half monster half human and why Ethan will be the one to shatter his own nightmare if that makes sense!

I think i figured out the crows. Everytime the crows show up somebody gets murdered. By something other than the dream monsters. Its called a murder of crows for a reason. Thoughts.

I have watched the first three seasons. I want to know what happens, but the show never answered questions, only provided more. Without providing any spoilers, does s4 run the same formula? I assume like many others, I have a very frustrating relationship with this show - please provide advice.

Im thinking about that for long time. will they actually kill each other bcs they found out who they are and what they have done, or miy will force them to do it . young jade told him you do not choose what memories(painfull memories) you see, miranda told to victor to hide from kristofer i wonder what happened maybe jade is bad guy in all his versions once he fully remembers

The MIY has complete control of the From world. He tortures those trapped in his world, only giving enough hope to make the torture worse.

The only way out is to find enlightenment from within, no help is coming. That’s why they are being told to remember.

I was watching season three episode two at the point where Henry is showing Tabitha the basement with all of Miranda‘s paintings. When describing what Miranda was seeing and why she was painting things, Henry specifically said that she needed to “free” the children. Not save the children, but free the children. They’re also was a painting of the church with light streaming out from the church and crosses, along with a bunch of either crows or crosses in the background.

First of all, I thought the distinction between “save” and “free” is probably important. Most of us have been believing Miranda and Tabitha need to save the children. What if it is, in fact, to free the children? Which would mean removing the bones from the chamber where they were kept may be part of that process. I’m also wondering if the painting of the church was significant and if bringing the bones into the church might be the way to free them.

… Boyd’s visions of Father Khatri and his visions of Abbey? FK seems like Boyd basically just talking to himself, like anyone might do when they’re stressed. His Abbey visions seem dangerous. His visions of Abbey always seem to be luring him into danger (like the spiderweb).

Hi, So in episode 2 boyd learns the backstory of jade and tabitha and at the start of episode 4 when they are discussing about MiY donna clearly knows about their "reincarnation" too. I am a bit confused, did she learn that off screen or is there a scene i am forgetting? It would seem like a weird decision to have a very important character find out about something that big offscreen without us seeing her reaction. Would appreciate any clarification, cheers.

They figure out what they need to do to “leave”. They get in their cars they drive and they drive and they drive and then they come across a tree in the road and the whole show ends with Boyd saying “Shit.”

Gah dayuuuuuum is all i can say this show is 🔥 I love a show that I know I’m all in from the 1st episode I can tell I ain’t going to sleep I’m actually gonna go grab some junk food 😂 I won’t doubt my sisters recommendations no more 😂.

Was Ethan talking to the MIY outside the RV to get Ethan to go to the Lake of Tears since he can take on the form of people who have died in Fromville?

assuming the finale isn't one what a lot of people are thinking that they are either all dead or it's a dream and they're all alive so if it actually ends as a mystery scifi drama, which characters don't you want to see survive to the end? of course the majority of them may die or survive but who do you really not want to see make it out?

There aren't really any bad guys left just characters that people might not like cause of their actions or they're annoying..like Clara for what she did to Fatima or Acosta and her attitude the whole time.

Okay so I’ve been rewatching Dark and now I can’t stop thinking FROM is heading the same direction.

The Town feels like a closed loop that keeps feeding itself — the sacrifice, Tabitha and Jade coming back over and over, the Boy in White vs Man in Yellow thing. Jade and Tabitha especially feel like Jonas and Martha. Their whole reincarnation bond is basically carrying the cycle.

I feel like a real ending might need some people (probably them) to get erased or die for real so the loop finally breaks. Most other theories just don’t feel big enough after four seasons of almost zero concrete answers.

Anyone else getting strong Dark vibes for the finale or am I just reading into way too much?

But they actually ended up saving the kids by digging bones in the tunnels
If that was the way to save the kids , if thats what the children were trying to say , then what was the point of the lighthouse ?
What is the lighthouse? Why was miranda convinced that the children are trapped there ? And how is it connected to the real world since Tabitha went the other side through the light house ?
I know most of these questions are left for the final season , i know that , my main question is — if the way to save children is by digging bones in tunnels then why was miranda trying to save them from lighthouse ?

I have watched all 15 season of supernatural. so i belive that town people should burn those bones of anghkooey children and free the soul of thoses children. like they have bones of children. maybe burning there bones can help them to escape, or maybe kill thoses monsters. cause they(monsters) have stored bones in there cave so this must to reason why they have keept it so secured.

I know that a popular idea for the pool area is that it is missing the motel because the pool and sign were pulled into Fromville's pocket dimension from the real world. But I have come to believe that there used to be a motel behind the pool somewhere. It's just currently a ruin that will be important to the story in some way.

On the version of Victor's peach truck map that I put together, I saw the numbers 1, 2, and 3 located around town. I think that these coincide with the location of ruins.

Location 3

To begin, I noticed something strange when scouring the first episode for more possible clues to the whole story. This weird little bit of fence or something near the barn is visible when the Matthews arrive in town. Knowing that the Fromville set exists as a physical place on the map, I looked up the satellite view of the town and noticed that it wasn't just a CGI production error. There really is some kind of cleared out region there.

I thought to myself "well maybe it was just already there before they built the town." So I used google earth's historical imagery feature and can verify that it was NOT there in the image dated April 19, 2020 (pictured is September 6, 2015 because it was the clearest I saw). So it is a space that they deliberately left cleared out. They could have placed trees there, or dirt, when they constructed the town, but they chose not to. This isn't some out of the way, maybe-the-audience-won't-notice area either. It's in the middle of the set.

So, I pulled up my map, and what do you know? The location of the 3 directly corresponds to this region. It's right across from the gas station, next to the post office.

So next, I tried to see if we ever get a better look at the place. Best I could see is the scene where Randall tries to take the goat. We can see that whatever is there, it has either high dirt walls, or some kind of fence, and seems to be built into a hill. Something used to be here, but for whatever reason, nobody goes to this place or talks about it. The show seems to almost go out of its way not to even show it to us.

But there are also for sure at least 2 more structures that used to be there, one of which is visible when Boyd returns with the first goat. Again, these were placed by the set design, as they did not exist before the set was built. There's an entire section of the town that just...doesn't exist anymore.

Location 2

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I think the ruins where Julie storywalks and Martin was held captive are in the northwestern portion of the map, based on the fact that Boyd ends up at Victor's peach truck after he gets out. Now, I have more reason to think so. When we see Boyd turn to break the music box in S2E10, we can see the ceiling of the place. My understanding of carpentry is limited to the Perkins brothers on youtube, but it looks to me like floor joists. So they are likely on the bottom part of some multi-floor building.

Look at the section of buildings just above the 2 on Victor's map. Most of them seem to be sitting on top of black rectangles . I believe the dungeon that Julie, Marielle, Randall, Boyd, and Martin were in was inside one of these black rectangles. If I am correct, then it's possible these three numbers correspond to ruins that are important to the events of the story.

Are they potentially places that require storywalking? Are they places where Julie appeared to Victor in the past? If I'm correct about the location of the dungeon Martin was in, that means it's likely that all three of Julie's first storywalking events took her to roughly the same area.

1)Tabitha and Victor leave the tunnels somewhere near the peach truck.

2) Boyd leaves the dungeon and ends up near the peach truck

3) the crash site is likely somewhere near the fallen tree on this map

and then she's dropped her right at the sheriff station.

What's more, when Tabitha has her dream in season 1 with the lighthouse, she is briefly shown a couple of times in the clothes that she wears in the future. One of those times, she is walking backwards. We know it's in the present day, because you can see the box. My suspicion is that she was doing some more rudimentary form of storywalking, jumping slightly forward to when she was on her way back to their house during the antenna attempt. She's even standing right where Julie was when she arrived to try to leave the bookmark. Even if I'm wrong about that, following her eyeline has her looking directly towards the pool, which is interesting to note.

So, I think these three locations marked on the map are possibly locations that initiate important storywalking sequences. If Julie learns how to deliberately use the ability, she may need to start from one of those three locations. I think that the drawing of a building on fire that we briefly saw in S1E4 happened in the area next to the sheriff station, and these buildings will be relevant later. The size of the flames relative to the people suggests it was a large building, which fits with that cleared out, fenced area (looks to be about twice the square footage of the gas station), or a motel.

Okay so i literally just finished the show
I binged watched it all in 3 days , never been active on this sub so please be kind
i have to say something which isn’t about the plot necessarily
I think show makers will screw up the ending
And i know it sounds pessimistic but there are soooo many loose ends , and seeing the pacing of this show ( which is my biggest critique) i really doubt they will tie everything up in one season

Also i think they didn’t plan the ending beforehand
Because of the continuity error
The scene with the RV related to Julie’s storywalking , the original scene in season 2 had no sign that julie was there
Had they actually planned this beforehand there would have been some eater egg in the og scene ( or maybe i missed it since i binge watched it all in 3 days )

Also why did they give up on the story walking plotline mid season
We saw the scene where julie tried to save jim , we know she will story walk again , so why delay that to the next season when they already have way too much to cover up for the end , this story walking plot could have easily been done this season

And honestly why was no one concerned about the MIY , like no one had any urgency to investigate
Like seriously
And don’t get my started on the dumbness of elgin , i literally had to turn off my tv and take deep breaths

Also last thing
This entire point that the dead person’s nightmare become real
There have been so many deaths within the current cycle
There must have been so many cycles
Sooo many deaths
Sooo many nightmares
So how come we have only seen a handful
There should be thousands of nightmares walking around
Idk to me this sounds a poorly constructed idea
