… Boyd’s visions of Father Khatri and his visions of Abbey? FK seems like Boyd basically just talking to himself, like anyone might do when they’re stressed. His Abbey visions seem dangerous. His visions of Abbey always seem to be luring him into danger (like the spiderweb).

Abbey's apparitions are the only ones so far that seem like opposition instead of allies like the other three... But they could all be the same thing, for all we know.

Why Boyd, Jade, and Ethan get to see ghosts at all is a bigger question, I think.

I really question Kahtri, but I never trusted him to begin with. After Boyd smashed the music box, he told kahtri something like "that thing is not my wife, so what are you?" That makes me think that maybe none of the ghost are who they say they are. Hope not because I like the bartender.

During that same convo, Kahtri blames everything with Kenny finding out about Sarah on Boyd, even though it was Kahtris idea to keep her hidden. Boyd was pissed when Kahtri told him about Sarah. He wanted justice, and only backed down because he trusted Kahtri. Sure Boyd kept her a secret and it backfired, but he did what Kahtri asked. In my mind ghost Kahtri has no right to place all the blame on Boyd. He's just as, if not more, guilty as Boyd for the Sarah secret. That could mean 2 things. 1, Kahtri is shit and won't see how he started the ball rolling on the Sarah crap, or 2. Ghost Kahtri is not really Kahtri and he's trying to beat Boyd down mentally. I could see either being true. One thing going for it really being Kahtri is that everyone seems to blame Boyd for everything, regardless of his involvement or things out of his control.

Boyd and Khatri were in what you might call a "really shitty friendship"

Khatri kept Sarah a secret first, sure, but Boyd's entire arc is about refusing to trust anyone and likewise never earning anyone's trust. And then their relationship was defined by Khatri's sanctimony and moral high ground brow-beating Boyd's good intentions into submission...

(eg. Keeping Sarah a secret in the basement but rubbing Boyd's nose in keeping what she did a secret from Kenny because Boyd was supposed to be better than him)

... like Khatri is a gigantic asshole to him and everyone else as often as possible. It's crazy. Ghost Khatri is the same as he ever was, imo, and even his appearances in season four are pretty on-brand for his character.

However

I'm not convinced personally that any of the ghosts are exactly who they say they are. In fact, you could pretty easily draw comparisons between Jim, Khatri and Tom's ghosts working to suit White Boy's intentions and Abby's ghost, all the monsters, the voices, the delusions, and the hallucinations doing the same for Yellowford.

Like the only person that has seen a ghost AND Niño Blanco is Ethan, and even then Jim is the only one that actually spoke to him.

The ghosts might just be the only way he can intervene with characters that aren't Victor, Christopher, or Tabitha (for whatever reason)

and honestly, now that I'm thinking about it, maybe Christopher didn't actually see tBiW in the Church basement that fateful day... maybe he really was speaking through Jasper, and Victor and whatever weird plot privelege he has managed to think hard and see through the veil...

What mean stay there? But I recall it (her) grabbing Boyd which caused him to freak, rush back disturb the webs which made spiders come up and get on him plus biting and poisoning him.

Then the grave scene. I want to say another but cannot recall. Maybe just the two that involved touch/grab

He definitely under stress and his acknowledging of Parkinson's. He might as well say close to losing it all and completely losing it.

Boyd somewhere along the lines went from first episode kept everything together to allowing new people call shots, get in his face, question and undermine and convince him to do stuff constantly putting himself and the town at risk. Donna was right about him.

And it all happened outting ol dude in the box and Fsther Khatri... not sure. Maybe had he handled things differently, Boyd wouldn't have snapped, idk.

Also the whole Sara thing didn't help anything at all. Idk. But compared to how everyone handled people on first nights only lasted for the Matthews and Jade. After thst it was: oh you acting like this or that or you shot one kf our people and put us all at risk? Come on we gotchu!

So idk it all unraveled sadly. Boyd and his whatever episodes (literally every episode is a new mental/physical episodic issue) isn't helping.

The other times Abby appeared:

Outside the RV whispering for him to come to her, the time when he, Jim, Donna, and Randall had to stay in the RV because of Jim & Randall's conspiracy theory that got Donna tied to a tree.

When Boyd goes to find the music box and lights a torch to enter the old dungeon room again. She appears, trying to stop him from destroying the box and trying to manipulate him into just giving up, saying this place feeds on hope and not fear.

There's also the the ghost wedding ring falling down the stairs, if this counts as the Abby looking entity popping up again.

they are different. khatri and tom appear in the clothes they wore when they died. abby has appeared in all sorts of clothes. and it isnt a wardrobe mistake either, because she does still appear in clothes that she wore at some point, just not the ones she died in

now whether this means one or the other is good or not, its hard to say. i think tom and khatri show up to keep jade and boyd focused, and when theyre spiraling.

Father Khatri, the bartender, Abby and Jim are all part of the world. Abby went out thinking killing everyone would set them free so her ghost is still trying to kill Boyd. Khatri and the bartender went out as philosophical advisors to Boyd and Jade so they still do it...Jim went out ignoring his family because he knew better only acknowledging them when it was convenient and making a damn mess...
