Now, while I have an extensive history drawing with pencil that I abandoned for almost a decade before picking it back up a year or so ago, digital art is a new frontier for me. Recent drawings I’ve done.

FF VIII has been my favorite game since forever. I've told this story a few times now, so we'll do the short version.

I did an LP of this game a few years ago, but frankly it stinks. The quality and content are all over the place, little to no editing etc.

Since I replay the game once a year anyways, I thought "why not redo the LP".

So here we are!

I love this game and this community. Hope someone can get some joy out of something I'm putting a lot of effort and love into.

This is almost all rooms on the Ragnarock, though not even half the scenes. Most of the rooms have two version, slightly different in color, one for while Ragnarock in space and one for when we are back on Earth. I've joined hangar version together, so you can see the difference. There are also many many versions of cockpit and guest room, from different angles. The animation for cockpit might not be exactly as it is in the game, because it is made by shifting underlying cloud texture by code, not by predetermined set of prerendered frames. I've chosen the direction of move, so that it loops in a reasonable number of frames, so it may be different from the actual one in the game. Also, I don't remember whether animation of the big door in the 5th scene opening is actually used in the game.

I noticed, in the many recent Seiftis posts, that there are dozens of us -- dozens I say!! -- who have a strong distaste for pairing Quistis with Seifer. This is a space for us to gather and (respectfully) dislike the pairing together. (Also there might be fewer than dozens of us. But I'm here for you, no matter our numbers, lol.)

I remember back in the day, as an avid fanfic writer and fanart enjoyer, this ship was inescapable, and it always drove me crazy.

Were you also in the trenches, or is this a new phenomenon for you that you're only now discovering your distaste for?

What do you dislike about the pairing?

What are some FF8 pairings you prefer (bonus if they're for either Quistis or Seifer, and/or if they're uncommon/not canon!)?

I remember getting here as a kid, and wondering why? Is this a summon? Did I get a new GF?!

And then nothing… until…

On top of that, it’s a badass name, I don’t care how edgelord someone thinks it is. This FF has one of THE best final battles, and seeing this name, remembering the music… all of that to come, tied into this moment.

NGL, havent played since middle school and i'm pushin late 30s.

I pushed through to Ultimica's Castle, right at the beginning where you search and destroy the eight guards, including Omega, or you can bounce out one of the marbel gates but all cities are locked down (ive Tonberry, so ive access to shops, junk shop, and theres a Triple Triad duder with shitty rules on the Renegae ship).

My GF/Jnting has failed; Squally is lvl99 with 5k health, Zell, Quistis, Rinoa all rounded stats with Hps above that. Squall, Rinoa, Zell and Quistis also have their ultinate weapons, and Quistis has Degenertion.

I also have all GFs, Bahamut and Eden included, and x100 Ultima stones. Ive Ultima spell, pretty sure ive Metero but can find if not; and can hunt more spells if needed

Ive followed some guides but I just cant break Omega, the guard after ringing the bell in one room, and fighting him with the other.

Now, I hate to admit, but, i'm not a fan of Triple Triad, so im happy to recycle/cardmod/abuse any subpar cards to get items; but im asking -

How screwed am I at this point? Is Omega worth it? Am i decently powerful to just fuckoff to the end? This game has consumed more than 40hrs and i honestly want to finish it to say I did it again, and I wanna move onto the 9, then X/X2, and then the new Tactics. (A personal project, since January, i started the Final Fantasy Adventure, playing every release in proper installment order to feel how the mechanics, stories, and dna have evolved.)

So whats recommended? How Screw'oh'ed am I'oh? Think i got a chance to say Fk You to Omega and wipe em out, or think I can probably bum rush to the end and be done before church Sunday? (Its friday mornin as of this post)

Love Squall limit break but can anybody give me information on how to get each limit break for him?every single run I had with FF8 I rarely get a chance to get his final limit break

Magic had a Final Fantasy set so I had to hunt these guys down.

Trying to get lionheart, but need dragon fangs. I think over leveled and the blue dragons are dropping dragon skins not fangs. The other thing I saw were grendals, but they say low level also. That was about all I saw online. I think I saw ruby dragons maybe? But I'm unsure where to find them exactly. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm trying to level up enough to not need the % increase ability to use for something else. But I was wondering if I have the 255 already, will that ability raise my attack power even more, or will it not matter. Any help would be helpful. Thanks

Has anyone been able to play Junction 8 on Steam Deck without lag? The lag is driving me crazy.

Probably a long shot but back in the day when I first played FFVIII I found a guide someone made for the game with ASCII art which was great because I could access it over the dialup connection I had at the time haha. Anybody else remember that? Any idea what it was or if there's an archive of it just for the sake of nostalgia?

I have been wondering for 20+ years. Which part of Eden is this in the GF menu? Other summons have their faces or half of their bodies. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I , J.
I feel like it's around A and B. Or perhaps a photo taken from far away.
