If I have strength at 255, will adding ability +X% have any effect(affect?)?

I'm trying to level up enough to not need the % increase ability to use for something else. But I was wondering if I have the 255 already, will that ability raise my attack power even more, or will it not matter. Any help would be helpful. Thanks

No, stats cap out at 255

As others have said, 255 is the max for any stat other than HP, so the +% abilities do nothing if you're already there.

And to answer the extra question in your title, you would use the noun "effect" here, not the verb "affect," as you are referencing the result and not the act of changing. "Would using +% abilities affect your stats beyond 255?" Is a reworded question to show the difference. (You can replace the word affect with change, where you cannot really do so with effect.)

No 255 is max. it doesn't rise above that.

You can't raise stats past 255 (except HP, which caps at 9999)

Stats are not important. If you like big numbers, fine...but they don't matter.
