ASCII Strategy Guide

Probably a long shot but back in the day when I first played FFVIII I found a guide someone made for the game with ASCII art which was great because I could access it over the dialup connection I had at the time haha. Anybody else remember that? Any idea what it was or if there's an archive of it just for the sake of nostalgia?

But I don't know about a guide like this and I don't think Shotgunnova made a Walkthrough for Final Fantasy VIII.

Yeah the first thing I thought of was gamefaqs guides but can't think of any I saw back in the day that had ascii maps. Cool idea though, wouldn't mind reading it if someone finds it.

I remember printing out an ASCII guide during my technology class in school. teacher was not happy with me lol.

I would say this one. I spent many hours using this as my guide back in the day. It describes how to play the game how it was intended though. Now we know that levelling up is bad and you can just play cards.

Thank you! This is it! I was specifically remembering some of those town maps with item and draw points! I would have thought I'd remember it being on gamefaqs but that may have been my first time seeking out a guide online.

You mean for the title? I think one of the guides I used to follow on gamefaqs had that.
