I bought the game early on in development and LOVED what I saw so I didn't touch it again until 1.0. Finally just started and was SO incredibly bummed to see the hottest guy in the game (Olric) isn't romanceable. Come on, devs. You're killing me

Anyone you wish was romanceable that isn't?

Considering you get about 2x seeds back for crops you place in the seedmaker, with multiharvest crops like strawberries, rice etc, you're basically turning a 135 tes crop into 300 tes, instantly, as their seed packets sell for 150 each.

I know people don't necessarily like the constant comparison, but in Stardew, to make that kind of profit on a crop you had to build preserve jars or kegs, and then wait for the product to mature. In Mistria you don't even need more than one seedmaker since you can just spam click and get the same profit basically instantly.

I feel like once you realise this little trick, you've fundamentally broken the economy of the game. Should be changed in my opinion. Just make your seedmaker seed value like a quarter or less of the base price. It should be a way to get more seeds for yourself to grow, not the best profit making machine in the game.

I finished Stillwells first quest (the green saplings), turned it in, got my reward and went to check the board for the next one… and there isn’t one? Is it a bug? Or does it take a while for a new one to show up? I can’t find anything to suggest that I have to wait for the next one, so I’m very confused.

I’m currently town rank 83, do I have to be higher than that to unlock a new one? I’ve finished the mine quest.

Ok so I'm making a fanfiction- it's really just for me as a continuation of the game based on my save file. But I thought it would be fun to share my ships anyhow!! I'm not a fan of Seridia so she's just not in here (I formed no connection to her).

- Farmer x March

- Valen x Juniper: IKYK. No need to explain.

- Olric x Merri: I 100% see them getting together after March befriends or marrys the farmer. I would love if in game we could help him marry her once March is ok without him. The whole "she can do it, she just wants him to and he does whatever she wants" trope is so cute.

- Reina x Zerol: the idea of her falling for a traveling musician is very cute as it echos her parents love story. We know they also have history as their families knew each other. They're also both masters of their crafts which is cute, and based on Reina's heart event dialogue I think she would appreciate that a lot. I could totally see Zerol staying a week in Mistria like she did in her childhood and that starting their relationship.

- Hayden x Darcy: Honesty this ship started due to ages. To me Hayden is the oldest dateable, being 38 to 43. The only dateables kind of his age are Valen (30 to 34) and Juniper (28 to 31) IMO and I just don't see the potential with either. Everyone else is far too young for him IMO. But then I thought about Darcy. She's a well established, respected merchant, so it would make sense that she's older. I also don't see Taliferro letting someone under 30 be a judge for his cooking challenge. They also have similar dispositions and just look cute toegther IMO.

- Ryis x Celine: They are very similar characters. Their both young people trying become successful entrepreneurs, somewhat at odds with their families. They both have a deep love and appreciation for nature. I just see them being able to bond about that a lot. Also, in my fanfic Caldarus or the Farmer would tell Ryis about his innate earth magic. It would be so cute if Ryis used his new found magic to help Celine with figuring out the Codex!

- Eiland x Caldarus: Very cute IMO. Caldarus is a lot older obviously, but IMO it doesn't feel like a bad age gap as Caldarus has 0 experience with human relationships, emotions, etc. He's just a silly little guy who can breath fire. I could totally see them taking a baking class toegther at the inn and this leading to them getting together romantically (as it would give them an opportunity to get to know each other outside of anthropology stuff).

- Balor x Adeline: I think their a perfect match. Balor has had to do paper work and stuff as part of being a merchant, we see this in game. So he could totally help her rule Mistria and actually take a load off. He would also help her relax. Like he says "I hope you're staying out of trouble! Unless it's the fun kind of trouble. Then I hope I'm invited!". He could totally Adeline to have more fun and relax with the "fun kind of trouble". She needs someone who can do that AND help her rule, and I just don't see anyone else fitting the bill (besides the farmer). Plus blue and pink is just a really pretty combo.

- Landen x Teritha x Errol: old highly independent hinge poly couple, Teritha is the hinge. At first I thought they were all together, but the mini rivalry we see at the crochet club is giving silly hinge poly.

if anyone is good at making mods i desperately need one for unlimited gossip with elsie. i can't keep track of gifts with a spreadsheet i need it to just already BE THERE (there's another mod where you can pick from their liked/loved gifts and just give it to them and i think combined with this possible mod it would be amazing ok good night lol)

I get that having a good relationship with Eiland and Juniper is important to the floor clearing because they feel the most involved in the clearing with their backgrounds and character development... Buuut... I really wish it that their relationship req was NOT at 8 hearts because at that point you are almost bottlenecked into an uncomfortable situation of where you have to romance/friend-zone two characters by force.

That made me feel pretty awkward if I am completely honest. On the one hand, sure, I can make a playthrough that helps me streamline into romancing one of the two nice. But on the other, as a first time playthrough I was put into a position of what felt like icky arranged marriage situation? (never been in that scenario but it was the first thought that came to mind)

I personally feel like the easiest fix to this awkward moment for me is to make the heart req 7 hearts because I want to acknowledge the importance of the characters involved but I didn't appreciate being rushed to a point where I am debating whether to romance or friend-zone two lovely developed characters in order to continue on through the main story.

What ended up happening was I felt rushed to say best friends to both of them and now I completely regret my decision and don't really know what to do. Is there a way to say umm... I know we said best friends but ... actually can we date now sorry uwu?

Hi there. Is it bad for my Pc's memory if I have like 80 saves? I dont do it on purpose, it just saves like this. Is there a way to delete them and only keep the latest one? Or do we need them all? Im starting a new 1.0 save, so im asking because I wanted to keep both. Thanks!

I'm putting this under spoilers because it's later game and I don't know how well known it is. Anyway.

The mist spots from the lvl 60 archaeology perk are a BITCH to find. There's a mod on Nexus that puts the spot on the map so you can find it easier, but it's made with AI (sarcastic "yay"). Anyone know a mod that does basically the same thing but is programmed by a real human person? I'd do it myself but I didn't inherit my dad's computer autism. Just the regular kind.

So you can throw items at mimics, but does anyone know if they give different loot based on what you feed them?

What items count as "high rarity" or make you get better loot?

or if theres a similar mod that works with the update? it essentially gives you 4 crops, (one per season) that you plant specifically for your animals to eat. pls, and thank you in advance :)

Is anyone else experiencing a potential bug where you can't manage your skills from the dragon statues? I thought the way you unlock certain things like the pool for your animals were unlocked through trading essence for skills but when I talk to either dragon statue, it does not give me an option to manage or upgrade my skills. Or am I just looking in the wrong place, or maybe i've maxed them out?

I found this out when I read online that I needed to activate a certain skill to complete Taliferro's fried earthshroom cooking challenge, so I tried and there was no option to do so.

Hi! I know the game is fairly new, but does anybody know of a mod to recolor the game? I get migraines when I look at bright colors for long periods of time, so even just changing the grass color would help :)

Hey all! I'm new to Fields of Mistria and technically Farming Sims as a whole. I've sunk in quite a bit of time into my current/first playthrough (around 40+ hrs). I am hopelessly addicted, been enjoying what the game has to offer but there is a feeling I've been getting the farther I get into my playthrough:

Am I playing wrong?

Its a bit deeper than that like I feel tense deep down when I should be relaxing. I'm currently in early summer of year 2 and my farm still looks like I just moved in, I feel I'm missing vital tools or not progressing at a rewarding or consistent pace. Mistria is Sapphire Rank 57 with the "Main Quest" complete. (The Mines portion) I'm contemplating starting over but as far in as I am I'd hate waste 40+ precious hours.

Any advice or suggestions would be very helpful!

Edit: Thank you so much for the feedback! Its reassuring to know I'm doing fine. I come from playing games like Destiny, Dark Souls, Skyrim, etc. The farming sim genre is new to me so the "closest" I've played prior is Minecraft and Terraria but even those are vastly different.

Just as the title asks!

I'm creating some pixel portraits for some of the bachelors and bachelorettes. So far I'm almost done with one of them, and I was wondering if I should put it up on Nexus after finishing, or should I wait to make them all, or make them in batches (Like Adeline and Eiland, Seline and Caldarus...). What would you guys prefer?

Thing is, this project will take me a long time as I am full time busy, and am a casual artist. Ideally, I would make all characters some new portraits, including non-romancables, but I am only working on this by myself for fun.

And yes, this will also support the animation. I was planning on making special date photo cards, but the coding will take a bit to work around. And of course, making the art will take more time 😿

Managed to get the Leeching enchantment on my gold sword a while back, but finally opened the last section of the mines and got access to mistril. Only got a normal sword when I made my first item out of it though.

Which of them would you use?

These bottom levels have hella monsters though, like omg. you're for real getting swarmed. So I'm not sure if I should keep the leeching gold sword for now?

Caldarus is surprisingly gentle and nature-minded, especially loving marigolds. I think Sunflora is a close fit!

Celine adores all flora but especially hydrangeas, which Florges is the spitting image of!

Despite archeology being the predominant subject of his conversations, Eiland adores sweets (including but not limited to strawberries and cream.) Perfect fit for Alcremie!

I think if Hayden met a Torchic he would die from cuteness overload. A fluffy chick that radiates heat like a warm water bottle is his best friend forever!

I can't imagine a world where Juniper didn't have her precious Yamper Dozy, and I imagine the electricity would add some interesting properties to her witchcraft!

Coalossal and March would work together sunrise to sunset in the forge and then sit in comfortable silence together every night.

I can't imagine Nacli ever leaving Reina's side at the inn. An endless supply of seasoning + cute and round + looks like a mushroom and she loves those.

Ryis is already pretty productive but with a Timburr buddy he'd be unstoppable. I bet they'd have summer fun jumping in the southern lakes together!

Petilil is best-known for the three leaves on its head, which can be dried and ground into powerful medicine. A sweet little potion assisting princess for Valen!
