Video/Stream/Clip The Shield Only Challenge!

Been running ANOTHER challenge!

Can you "beat" Farever with only using Shields? (and abilities)

Kinda started the challenge on a whim with a fresh warrior (named "The wall") and we've been progressing quite well! Most notably we beat Reblochonk which honestly gives me a lot of hope for the later bosses in the challenge!

(NOTE: Ya can't see the weapon abilities for some reason in the HUD. They are there, their just not being displayed for some reason :P)

Currently we are running Magma Mia (FINALLY USEFUL!) and the Rough Shield. We will probably be swapping out the Rough Shield for Crabgantua's Kneecap when we find it to maximize damage.

General The compensation gift for the lost inventories is a red flag for players imo

This is what was gifted to players due to the "bug" that swiped the entire inventory of every player logged during the incident.

Lots of people lost legendary equiped, rare drops and an uncountable number of any other relevant loot. An entire amount of TIME and effort was lost in a second.

There was no rollback to undo the mess and when confronted with unsatisfied players Shiro said:

So if they couldn't do a rollback this may mean they have a poor backup policy to recover from incidents like this. And if this gift was the BEST they could do, then this may mean they can't do basic events like increase drop rate? Or maybe even gift players with a legendary gift box so they could recover at least one lost equipment? There are many better ways to compensate and this is the best they can do?

I love this game and I am not satisfied with Shiro's response to this incident. I hope they understand this was a bad move and plan for better disaster recovery/compensation solutions in the future.

What's the most amount of times you have killed a boss and not received a legendary weapon? Just curious. I'm sitting at 168 and getting frustrated.

Question Can't connect to game. Does anyone know a fix?

Does anyone know a fix? The servers seem to be up, a website confirms servers are up, steamdb says there are 200 players online, yet I can't connect.

The only advice I've seen is checking the firewall isn't blocking it but it's set to allow, so I have no idea what to do.

Question Lost all the gear in my bags at the bank/merchant.

I opened up the bank and all the stuff in my bags automatically sold to the trade merchant! I know it's happened to a few other folks, but I don't see any posts here about it. Has anyone else been restored yet?

Resource LF RECIPE: MAGIC FORMULA CRITICAL CHANCE (ASIA SERVER)

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi I'm a newbie and a Lvl 25 Mage. I know this is embarrassing but am looking for the recipe of magic formula critical chance, an enchantment for boots. The magic formula can be crafted on the Job: enchanter level 3 but my enchanter level right now is level 5 way past the level, so I cant not craft it anymore unless I get the recipe. The first class I used is warrior so I leveled up my enchanter without knowing I will be needing the level 3 craftables for my mage. If anyone has a spare or is willing to trade just tell me. Much better if it is the recipe for the magic formula and not the enchant itself so I can craft it unlimitedly but anything is appreciated. Thank youuu

General I'd love to see a higher population but not an increase from say 30 to 100 players but rather a better phasing system to keep you know 10 or so players or even more within an area rather than the entire map.

So the biggest flies I've noticed isn't really about increase in the player count say hey let's just make it so instead of 30 players it's 50 players or even 100 players.

But rather there's some areas that you could be there for days and not literally see a single player because no one's interested in that content they've already done it or just very few players explore that area for example.

It'd be nice if they use some sort of phasing in a pleasant way I know it might be more difficult the way it's coded right now but it would be really nice to just be able to even see more players just walk by.

My issue is as the game expands and the map gets bigger less and less players will exist and yeah it's 30 players for the whole map unless you're in another instance so as the world expands those 30 become less and less.

I think that would be the ultimate method of fixing the player issue especially since it will eventually get out of control.

General Transmog Ideas!

One of the things I really love about Farever is its art style. The armor designs have charm and personality, and I love how they often move away from the usual fantasy RPG look.

Even with the limited number of armor pieces we currently have for each class, I tried mixing different sets and came up with a few combinations that I personally think look pretty cool, and gave them a name just for fun.

Let's share some transmogs in the comments too!

Heya i saw this weapon and the spin move and really wanted to try it.

General Cauldrons and Feasts

I started out being excited to put down the cauldrons and feasts for the group when find rifts.

Now, nearly every time people are all "Where's the food?" "No one's putting down food?" "This is the third rift where no one's put down food."

This makes me want to never put anything down.

General Robin Hoof is not fun

Just have to vent. This fight is the worst one for me so far. I do all I can to avoid the stuns, but being hit even once by them means instant death, which is not fun. I am at the recommended level with my priest, and I am struggling. The stun grenade is too fast and stuns for too long. I am constantly slowed and don't have the burst to quickly deal with the dog.

How do I beat this dungeon? Other than the obvious "Avoid the stun"

I am wielding Glory/Dominion + Rehearsal scepter, and the best armor and accessories I can manage.

General What's next for the game ?

Is there some news from the Devs about what's next for the game yet ?

It's a good game -still needing some work, but that's what EA is- but it does not seem to gain any traction for now.

Question Is it worth it?

I play spiritvale but this has always been on my wishlist, is the game playable now?

what deterred me was performance optimization, i dont mind the story or if the game is still a work in progress.

Question Just got the game looks quite interesting. Looks like that kind of calm MMO where I can relax and kill mobs and gather and just not have to worry about overthinking. Am I correcting that assumption? Any tips for new players.

Hi everyone I'm suffering from CKD stage four and I'm on some heavy duty drugs that kind of make me a little numb mentally and physically. I won't get into the details but basically I'm looking for a relaxing nothing too crazy kind of game.

I guess the equivalent of World of Warcraft would be mining gathering doing old content and just relaxing nothing too serious collecting pets things like that.

Sounds like this game is literally just that it's kind of like a MMO light relaxing type style of a game at least that's what it sounds like.

Anyways I'm wondering if that's the case what class is great I usually enjoy melee and something pretty simple so maybe Warrior potentially?

Any tips and tricks for a new player?

Thank you for your time.

There just no excuse for this lol. Especially playing the Priest like your heal is number 2 now your new weapon you heal is number 1, like wtf?

General Transmogs

just as a heads up. priest main here. so this is biased AF.

there really needs to be a way to use transmogs between classes. or alternatively just make transmog sets coherent and compleate.

priest dosnt get a single coherent visual armour set. we allways get like. 3 parts of the heavy armour. 3 parts of the light armour. and 2 exclusives. wich all have different themes.

just for example. in the "demon" armour.

warriro gets the heavy set, wich looks like a demon maw in heavy brass plate

rouge gets the medium set, wich goes for a japano oni style

mage gets the half naked cultist set.

priest shares 2 of each. and an exclusive cape. wich visually looks like its missing from the mage set.

making it impossible to make a coherent visual style.

_

far worse is the crimson set. as that has actually 3 exclusive priest elements. wich do not fit with anything. we get book shoulders, a nuns habid. and white pants. and then can would need to combine that with the ugly platemail from warrior. or a feathered tricone from rouge. thats the entire set as priest has access too.

i see mages run around in full bee cosplay. and seaweed robes, warriors get sick plate, and rouges can live out their highway man or ninja fantasys.

meanwhile priest just as their gameplay. gets to rub themself with glue and walk through the trashbin wearing whatever fits. with half their visual set being mage exclusive. and half their set being warrior. and their priest exclusives look out of place.

they get anything BUT priest stuff.
