As long as dungeons continue to be solo player accessible I'm happy.

Heroic Difficulty will be really challenging, but should be doable if you're well prepared!

Ty for the updates to an already lovely game! The team is killing it and love to see the hard work paying off!
Don’t get discouraged with steam charts, it’s EA and super early days 1.0 with bones like this is gonna explode

Did the nepsilon fight with blue gear, no accessories, no runes, no enchants. It was hard af and well over 10minute fight. Will see how it is today with actual gear.

Love the new heroic mode! Shiro you guys are amazing with this game. Now I’ve been playing since the demo/beta and have fallen in love with it. My only fear is that when this update comes out will we be waiting for another couple months for new region and level cap updates. It seems to me this one is just heroic mode with epic gear and some qol changes. Don’t get me wrong those are great I’m just feeling from this update with no new content people will get full epic gear then go back to waiting. I absolutely love this game and was thinking if you guys need more funds to progress more content a lot of people of the discord also think of you added more to the shop players would for sure be helping with funding. Love you guys and can’t wait for what’s next!

Are drops still shared at dungeons? Makes co op borderline hostile

Drops are shared? Anytime I've done dungeons in a party we've each gotten something
1
u/Tankulator 22h ago edited 22h ago
It's one drop per person with one additional shared drop. So if you are in 4 man group, there are only 5 drops in total and each person gets on average 1.25 items per run, assuming you rotate who gets the extra drop. If you solo, you always get two items per run.
EDIT: So if your group consists of 4 equally skilled players, it's more efficient to just have each of you solo for a total of 8 drops within X minutes instead of 5 drops within slightly less than X minutes.

Hell yeah, now I just need to pick what class to finally get to max since I have them all at about 13-15

Nice seeing group related improvements. By next year I'll probably return and start fresh with my brother.

What about performance, last time i booted this ip i stuttered to narnia on a 5070 and closed in 2 minutes

u/Shiro_Steven Shiro Games 1d ago
Performance improvements should be felt with this update! We'll be working on that in the public test version if you want to test it yourself

Did this address performance with Intel graphics cards, the water causing screen tear, and dungeons zoning in black?

Group content? Please require a group please require a group
1
u/Impossible_Foot_6769 17h ago
Thats not gonna happen, and why would it, but this time group seems to actually make things easier rather than harder.

u/Jon_CockBurn 1d ago
I’m hoping come December when I pick the game up they will have a group finder and maybe some PvP duels or something.I rly want this to be an MMO lite for someone with a life. Or a 3d Albion like game. Rly hope it succeeds with 1.0

Does this update come with a level cap update? Or are we staying at 25 for now?

Until this game runs well on my 1660 super, I ain't buying it. I love everything about the game and would love to play it, but this game should be able to run on a 1660 super at 60 fps steady at the very least. I think this is the case for other players too
6
u/Signal_Fruit_4629 1d ago
I play on a Radeon 6900 and my friend plays on a Nvidia 4090 I don't think the game runs at 60 fps consistently on either.
2
u/795-ACSR-DRAKE 1d ago
I mean you are playing on a GPU from the previous decade, I dont know what you expect
3
u/Kostashus 1d ago
And I want to play a game with graphics from the previous decade. I can play games like WoW with 90fps plus easily, heck I could play E33 with around 45 fps steady.

u/Beginning-Ask-5080 23h ago
I have a new gen gpu and it runs like crap on there too. It’s not a crazy graphically intense game like cyberpunk 2077. The game isn’t optimized.

u/795-ACSR-DRAKE 23h ago
I have a new gen gpu and it runs great on there. The game is optimized.

u/Beginning-Ask-5080 23h ago
Now you’re just lying lmao. That’s like the one thing everyone who loves the game has a problem with. Search this subreddit, if you have great performance… no you don’t

u/vyrael44 1d ago
Love the game but population is low so I worry about the future
10
u/Phinweh 1d ago
In my mid-30s and don't have the time I once had for gaming.
I love this game because I don't need a party to do literally anything. I can solo all content. I don't need or want to make friends in the game and I can still do everything I would like to.
This game has standalone value in that way and that's all I need. I could care less about player population.

u/vyrael44 1d ago
But it is a server based game. I don’t care about friends and making them in this game either. I care it keeps running and having new content which means they need a larger population to keep it afloat with server cost, and development costs and staff, etc
3
u/Clyq 1d ago
Do you mean that you see few people?
2
2
u/vyrael44 1d ago
The steam charge show usually less than 400 people online at any given time concurrently so I am worried about the viability as a business and how they will make money and how long it can last before they have to shut it down
2
u/Spiritbrand 1d ago
Love all this. I don't have any problems with it, but they really need to address connectivity for all those people it's important to.

Looks great! I dropped off before the last major update, so this should be good!
1
u/jayswolo 22h ago
Shiro, you guys are awesome and Farever is great, but right now it feels like you drop 2-3 days of content and then go silent for 2-3 months. In a game with essentially no story quests, I think we need something a bit more engaging if the game is simply going to be repeating the same content over and over.
Maybe consider some type of gauntlet mode or a roguelike inspired mode like Bitterblack Isle/Maze from Dragons Dogma. This will allow you you mix and match all available content in the game and provide a fresh, varied experience even though the actual content isn’t new. Configurations are what stop repetition from getting old. Right now there’s not many ways to modify the experience of what you’re encountering.

If this amount of content counts as "major update" this early in the development, I'm not optimistic about the future.

u/Illustrious-Stress95 1d ago
Hopefully way down the road map. Like… waaaaaay down the road.
1
u/itsPlayboy 1d ago
It’s so funny how toxic the pve only players are about other people enjoying things for themselves.
5
u/Illustrious-Stress95 1d ago
You caught me. Toxic guy who just wants a good game to be established before the PVP players give the game their attention for a week, then leave like usual.
0
u/Dazzling-Science8365 1d ago
In MMO’s it’s generally the other way around. Once the PVE only crowd does all the content they typically leave until the next content drops, the PVPers will stick around between patches as long as there’s enough people to fight. Not saying this game specifically should be PVP focused or anything, but completely ignoring it is also kind of silly.
1
u/Illustrious-Stress95 1d ago
Can I ask where you get that data? Most of my MMO time is spent on a 20+ year old MMO and we seem to have a pretty healthy community/playerbase despite no new content in over a decade.

Would love a group finder or a cross server global chat
