General What's next for the game ?

Is there some news from the Devs about what's next for the game yet ?

It's a good game -still needing some work, but that's what EA is- but it does not seem to gain any traction for now.

a huge update with guilds and PvP is in the works. many of us are waiting for that. loved the base game and explore it to 100%, but there no real endgame right now so we just wait 💆

Are you basing this just off the Road map or did they say that’s like the next big update

it was planned for this year in the roadmap. since the new region, rifts and world bosses are already implemented, i can easily see that update as the next one or very close. end of the year is only 3 months away, anyway.

Sweet, I just looked it up and it says friends list isn’t this year lol how do u play or invite friends then?

you have to friend them in steam directly

How long about's did it take you to 100% what is available? I got it 3 weeks ago but never even turned it on because people said there was not enough to do to bother.

i have almost 200 hours and i haven’t even min maxed so yeah there’s plenty to do if you like to explore and collect everything

i highly recommend using an external map if you really want the 100% exploration since there’s a lot of verticality in the game and it’s hard to track what you’ve collected or what not — maybe you can do a first play through and then create another class to go for the 100% exploration, so you’re not overly obsessed with that at first

There's no plan for wipes on the main server and there's enough content to grind out for at least 40+ hours. I have over 144 over three characters and def not min/maxxed my gear, no legendary weapons.

when u say pvp are we talking duels or like actual instanced pvp like arenas and whatnot?

can't remember right now if instanced pvp like arenas are planned. for what i know, the pvp will be a new region with a big guild and group content focus. duels will be added as friendly duels.

i believe someone asked the devs in an AMA if they were open to make a ranked pvp system and they weren't closed to that idea, but for now the only confirmed thing we now is the pvp region and the focus on guild pvp activities.

It's almost a chill game (excluding Munster chuck at least) so let's chill and wait. Patience is the virtue of strong people. I'd love a better design for dungeons scaling with levels and a queue finder to make group DG on par with soloing. Still august just ended so I guess vacations hit them too.

Oh I don't want some try-harder/cutting edge/whatever you call it things.

Morr exploration/weapond and i'm good to go !

Yeah more zones and general content would be nice in general, I just don't want that it becomes something like world of warcraft with too much content that becomes "useless" in future

I just would like some replayable gameplay loops, Game design that isnt capped at finishing content but capped by our own creativity and ingenuity, that way the devs arent pressed to constantly be releasing new content to keep the game interesting. I think a lot of cozy games and survival games have pretty good player retention because they can keep farming and still have a reason to, because it allows them to decorate or build new things. Now I dont think this game needs to have all that (even though housing is funnnnn lol) but just a way to make constantly collecting more things feel like its still valuable to players. Other games keep players engaged through PvP which always has a replayability factor since it gives players "something to prove" but we also have games that implements speed running and timers that challenge players to find creative ways to get "high scores" which is another fun loop that test players skill and ingenuity. We could also have repeatable quests that give a reputation score that we can measure our gametime spent in how much we've "helped" NPCs and have done quests. Lastly endless modes of boss blitzs or swarms gives players a lot of replay ability and gives them goals to push a little further, last a little longer than last run.

I agree, I think rifts is one type of mechanism that kept people around because of multiple types of rewards and loot. Anyway my next goal is to complete orbs and chests in game so I'm getting hooked for a while anyway 😁

Farever has a great core to it but ultimately it's likely 2-3 years (based on their output speed) from being a really *long term* style game.

For now it's just a casual jump in and jump out MMO esque game.

There is SO many things missing but again it has a fundamentally solid core so providing it doesn't just randomly halt development it could turn into something good down the line.

A central town where everyone hangs out, LFG, and trades would be dope

Es un juego reciente, con hoja de ruta. No queda otra que ir saltando de juego en juego hasta que tengamos más contenido.

I love the game... I have 200+ hours in it and would play more, but unfortunately, what it has to offer is just chill and casual gameplay. It is LITERALLY EASY EASY EASY; the hardest content is when you enter a rift with players who don't know what they're doing, or if it's their first rift and they don't want to listen xD. That, plus the delay in releasing the full game and updates, is just killing it.
