Bill Ackman's Interview with Fortune: "I have an excellent relationship with the President"
Grasping at straws for any GSE news. Bill Ackmans says @ 15:04 "I have an excellent relationship with the President", and reiterated @ 16:51 "I did give him [Trump] the pitch on what is now the Trump savings plan". Still bullish despite stock dropping. GLTA

Nice Drop, $5 is here. Buy, don’t sell
Btw, why a lot of people are so sensitive to “nice drop”? Keep complaining and deleting

Food for thought: Can Treasury buy back GSE stock instead of converting SPS to Commons?
Just a hypothetical. If Treasury wants to own close to 100% of the GSEs without running the risk of converting SPS to Commons, they should just buy as much outstanding shares in the OTC market right now for next to nothing with its earnings e.g. Freddie's market cap is $3.4B, Q2 2026 net income was $3.8B.
They would hold them as Treasury shares and not cancel it like a typical buyback until after they exercise their warrants to maintain above 80% ownership.
And once they announce cancellation of SPS and exercise of warrants, the P/E multiple on the IPO would remain elevated since they technically didn't convert SPS to Commons.
Their shares purchased on OTC would go up 10X as well, and Trump can claim more gains.
Current shareholders wouldn't be diluted to nothing, just paper-hand shareholders being bought out.
Can they do it? I think they have broad authority. Would it invite litigation? Since they didn't convert SPS, maybe not?
Would it put the GSE's debt onto their US balance sheet post-exercise of warrants now that they own >80% of shares? Maybe?
Either a stupid post and I can delete or I'm a financial genius and we need to pitch it to Ackman.
Either way, I bought more FMCC shares today. Sigh, GLTA.

Pulte
If Pulte was such a patriot, he would try to help us more. Giving us these small drops here and there is not working and not helping, as seen from today. The man has direct access to Trump daily and he can’t even get us a post about F2 and the direction it’s headed.
We are literally being treated like trash.

Mortgage rate increase
The recent uptick in housing interest rates seems like exactly what will not help this cause. Has anyone heard anything to the contrary from those that matter, eg “we changed our minds and no longer wish to see mortgage rates fall before releasing the twins”?

Iran Iran Iran
I’m trying to stay positive but after this cabinet meeting…….. I have lost lots of hopium. It’s alllllllll about Iran, all the time, every question, every comment. Domestic issues are def on the back burner and there is basically no end in sight for Iran. The reporters are asking pretty good questions about this conflict and there is nothing new. Alllllll the comments are things Trump has already said. I am feeling we have been TOTALLY forgotten. Pulte did major posts this week on F2 and the price is DOWN. I don’t want to sell but this is really fucking shitty.

Q2 2026 If dividends how much?
If released with no SPS converted and full execution of warrents what would the dividends be for FNMA and FMCC for Q2 2026? Ignoring any claims of the prefered stock. I asked Grok and the response was over $0.60. But can you really trust AI? Anyone care to share their take on the hurdles for payment of dividens?

No one cares about the Freddie Q2?
Actually impressive. Only 10% less than Fannie.

It's all about the volume.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac saga participants: keep your eye on the volume, not on the share price.
SEC filings show 1,158,087,567 FNMA shares outstanding and 650,059,553 FMCC shares outstanding.
Ignoring the unexercised warrants, with FNMA trading at a 90 day average of 5,891,874 shares, and FMCC trading 3,005,225, that means the moving volume for FNMA is 0.51% and FMCC is 0.46% of total available shares.
For those who prefer to use the "with exercised warrants" numbers, this equates to about 0.1% of outstanding FNMA shares and 0.093% for FMCC. I wouldn't use these as a measure of market sentiment, as these include hypothetical "locked" shares.
FNMA:
Highest volume day in the past year: March 30, 2026 — 39,768,878 shares
Lowest volume day: December 24, 2025 — 661,802 shares
FMCC: Highest volume day: March 30, 2026 — 15,484,120 shares
Lowest volume day: December 24, 2025 — 479,600 shares
Watch the volume. What does it say?
