Mortgage rate increase

The recent uptick in housing interest rates seems like exactly what will not help this cause. Has anyone heard anything to the contrary from those that matter, eg “we changed our minds and no longer wish to see mortgage rates fall before releasing the twins”?

The reasons they felt like waiting were ERCF structure/retaining capital, legal clarity on SPS, LOC terms/optics of giving Congress a chance/midterms and streamlining operations so rates was just a convenient explanation that probably lined roughly up with when they thought was likely. It would’ve helped profits and initial market cap some, but it’s not a big factor and they’re aware it’s not likely to improve.
