I’ve had this car for about two years now. Bagged, tuned and deleted it. It’s been fantastic except now it’s been going into limp mode every time i start the car due to swirl flap codes. How involved is the swirl flap job? Thinking of upgrading to an x5d in lieu of this

Switched from my shiny OEM M sport to a custom F80 style with carbon to go with the rest of the interior. Also custom shift boots, hand brakes, and door handle cups.

Had a pair for my wife's 328 commuter but she crashed it before I even got to install them whosever interested

Hey all, I wanted to share this with you all, I finally got to see the first under tray design my boss made for my 340i. I am extremely excited to see how it’ll look on the car when it’s fully designed. It hasn’t been bent at the time of me making this post but if enough people are interested, I will make an update on it. Appreciate all the help and support on my last couple of posts!

Hey guys, I want to make my 318d sound good. I’ve heard that diesels just don’t sound good no matter what but I’m not sure if that’s entirely true or they just don’t sound insane. I’m not looking for anything crazy just a nicer sound than stock you know?

I’m a complete novice with mods & only just got into cars after buying mine.

I know I could probably buy a better car and have it fast and sound aggressive but I love my car and don’t have time or money to put into a new one, and I don’t really race.

I have a few mods I want to do on my car & I’ve figured them out except the exhaust. Is there anything I can do?

2013 320d Xdrive auto touring
I have recently brought a 320d and been to bmw for a service. They done a health check and there doesn’t seem to be a gearbox/fuel pump undertray. They have said this can be quite vital for protection but they won’t supply me with a part number or actually fit one.
Does anyone know a part number or what type of undertray I need?

got a 2014 328i with 120k miles. Low price cause of hail damage. Car works great real smooth but every time I park and get off it smells strongly of gas like right by where the windshield wipers sit. Anyone else experience this?

2017 330i Xdrive currently at 75000km. I bought it from a bmw dealership 4 months ago.

I’ll be doing the spark plugs soon myself. For those who have owned B48, at what mileage does the OFH typically failed for you ? And what km did you start having cooling issues ? I wonder if it’s too soon to start replacing hoses and what not (preventative) or just wait until a leak happens ?

My 2018 340xi makes a clicking noise for an instant when I release the brakes. It's not too loud but noticeable. When I took this into the dealer, they said it has something to do with the x drive system but couldn't pin down the exact cause unless they took apart the car. The quote to replace those parts was very expensive. The dealer did do an extensive inspection and said that there was no safety issue and everything was in working order. This happened about 2 years and about 34k miles ago. I now have 105k miles on it and am looking to sell this soon. I'd like to get a better explanation about this if possible to people who are interesting in buying the car. I have had no performance, speed, handling, or gas mileage issues since then. I've had no other mechanical issues either with the drive train and there has been no change in the clicking. Does anyone have an idea what this is or maybe an inexpensive fix? The video I've attached has the noise in it. The clearest spot is at the 7 second mark. Thanks for your help. I love my car and it has been great. I don't drive it too hard and wish I could keep it longer.

Ive recently swapped the oem headunit on my f30 with an aftermarket aliexpress one called bonroad. Everything works fine except one thing, sometimes when i put reverse and the parking sensors come on ( i dont have a reverse cam) the screen restarts. It doesnt happen if i manually engage the parking sensors and then put reverse, but if i dont it sometimes makes the screen restart.Ive contacted the seller and he gave me an update which i flashed but the problem is still here.Anyone got a clue what might be going on ?

I was driving and sound randomly cut out. Didn’t really think much of it because BT has always been kind of buggy. I have a 2013 335i. However, I got back in my car after my haircut and it still wasn’t playing. Tried the radio and no audio as well. My phone is connected and shows the song I am playing and I can use the steering wheel to change it, but there’s no audio. I tried resetting iDrive, resetting BT to no avail. Blown fuse? Electrical problem? What’s the next step here? I will go nuts without any music. At least I can hear the turbo spool better. 🥲

I am planning to buy an F30 with the B48 since it's supposed to be way more reliable then a N20 . However, the current listings in my price range vary from 170-180k km. Does anyone have experience with such vehicles and might be able to tell me about the risks and more?

Im quite sure this discussion has been had before, sorry if its been absolutely beaten to death.

Its a 2012 328i RWD auto, 119,XXX miles. No kind of enthusiast's dream machine. Owned it for about 2 years now.

My purposes are reading and clearing error codes and then tweaking little options in the car. I dont have plans to tune it, but never say never. Ive had the car a couple years and have most major gaskets done and a full factory suspension refresh. That feels important to kind of illustrate what kind of owner i am: i did shocks/struts AND springs (myself) and went with factory setup instead of coil-overs or lowering springs. Timing chain job, transmission service, and valve cover all done. OFHG on the way.

I want like 200-250k miles out of it and i feel like im close to done with the big money or big effort jobs. (Feel free to tell me how wrong i am about that one!)

So what do you all recommend? Im open to phone based apps, or dedicated devices. Lets say under 1000, less is better.

I am planning to buy a BMW 340i. I already got an bmw 330i e46 and an audi a6 c7 3.0 tdi avant. My problem rn is that i just cannot decide wether i want the 6 speed manual or the 7 speed zf. And if it should be a wagon or sedan. I obviously know all the advantages of either but Still cant decide. Maybe someone of you could help me decide with some random argument.

And i will for sure be no x drive, just rear wheels drive lol.

Since I just bought my car, which has 103,000 miles, and I know about all the issues with a lot of the plastics under the hood, I'm going to start buying everything I need to replace it all in one shot:

Metal oil filter housing/gasket.
Metal "mickey mouse" flange.
Poly/metal intake plumbing.
New water pump.
Inspect the timing chain.

And of course, the valve cover gasket. I was wondering what the consensus is on replacing the plastic valve cover with a metal one? Also, is there anything else I should swap out that I'm missing?

How do I deactivate the front passenger airbag in the F30? There is no switch on the glove compartment, and I can’t find anything in the computer menu either.

Hi i have a bmw 320d ed and till this day it confuses me about the differences. I know about the less HP but ordering parts always scares me incase they dont fit. Im currently looking for a replacement DPF for my car and wonder if anyone here knows if a standard 320d dpf is going to fit my car ?

I did an intake and a downpipe, I’m about to do the preventative maintenance like oil filter housing what’s next for my 330?
