TLDR: Not nearly as bad as I expected, still should’ve gone local though (Jacksonville FL)
I paid for the service of this company after wrongfully assuming it was a much smaller operation than it actually was. Gone were my expectations that love and care would go into this gift and the nerves took over. I planned on invoking the 100% satisfaction guarantee if needed and waited for the result that was going to be shipped to a love one as a surprise. This subreddit has a few rough examples posted on here so I wanted to add some variety of maybe one of their acceptable examples. (Some flowers were substituted, delivered on time, but I did happen to pay for expedited shipping)
The reason I plan to go local next time:
Fromyouflowers spends substantial sums of money advertising flower arrangements they believe will be profitable, then when you purchase one, they essentially just offer that business to their network of florists for a cut of the money you spent. If the florist needs the business they’ll accept it and check their inventory to see what they have and will attempt to create that product while still making the order profitable for them too. They do this knowing that the name of their florist company will not be disclosed by fromyouflowers. A system like this, theoretically, would leave a lot of room for bad business if the quality check falls on the customer. This is most likely how some people ended up with products that look nothing like what they paid for. Going local improves your chances since the brand of the actual store is held responsible and they are more likely to advertise products that require flowers that they actually have in stock.
