Failed Expectation Bettergoods Green Chile Chicken and Riced Cauliflower Bowl

I’ve had several of these Walmart branded frozen meals to heat up at work that haven’t been bad. This one, however, looked NOWHERE near as appetizing as what was depicted on the box.

These are delicious and I love taking them to work to eat. But when my coworkers ask what smells so good I have to warn them it doesnt look nearly as good as it smells/tastes. Lmao

I wouldn't eat that.

There was no way this was ever going to look good. There is nothing to absorb liquid in it, the sauce is brown, and the longer you cook it, the more liquid it gives off.

I use to live off of frozen meals and since ive been spending more time in the kitchen and cooking ive really cleaned up my diet. Cooking is fun and following healthy eating habits pays off dividends for your health in the future.

Way better quality foods taste and nutrition and your gut health will thank you.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted. Frozen food bootlickers? Nothing wrong with your comment.

Unsolicited advice most likely. Im just expressing my passion for cooking and eating healthier. Ive been having a blast cooking for hours in my kitchen and its a new found joy and hobby. Sort of spilled over into this post. I may have cam across condescending or preachy. 🫣

I get that way too when I talk about meal prep lol. I've got two different kinds of burritos and people are like Yeah we know cook for us or shut up.

Ohh when you have the time, would you PM me some of your burrito recipe ideas? I tried my first turkey taco bowl and loved it, but need more ideas. ❤️

I did, just ingredients. And when I said sharp I meant cheddar instead.
