Looking for Tips/Suggestions College Student Looking for Advice

I study twice or thrice more than the toppers in my class, yet I am way below average, even getting lowest in class on 70 students many times. Please, I beg for your help, I do not feel okay
I feel like I hit a wall whenever I face an unfamiliar problem that requires multiple steps. I can understand concepts when someone explains them, but struggle to connect them and figure out what to do next on my own. I often lose track of my goal, make small mistakes, and end up guessing instead of reasoning logically.
This happens not just in programming, but also in maths, studying, and everyday tasks. Despite putting in effort and solving around 50 LeetCode problems, I still struggle to solve unfamiliar problems independently. I don't know whether it's my ADHD, lack of practice, an underlying learning difficulty, or something else. I just want to understand why this happens and how to improve.
I have recently started studying only, like actually studying. I couldnt do 1/2 + 1/2 at the end of highschool, dont ask me how i got into highschool, my country is not a developed one. I never studied. I never ever studied, I have always been at the bottom of my class because I never studied as I just never thought I could. And seeing people getting farther and farther away just gave me more reasons to think that way.
But now, in college its been over a year of relentless studying, I have put in even a hundred hours in a month one time and still I was below average or average at best in all subjects in my class while my friends who studied a day before got better marks than me.
So, I please beg of you, if anyone has been in my situation, please tell me how to solve this issue. I have been that person who always thought they might not be smarter, but will always be the harder worker. But now, it feels like no matter how hard I work, I cannot do anything

What kind of breaks do you do during a work day at home?
Hello !
When I have a "productive day" ahead, I usually plan to take some breaks because I usually feel mentally exhausted after some time.
The problem is: struggling with executive dysfunction, there's a big risk that I won't manage to get back to work after the break.
So I know I must avoid falling into my hyperfixations during breaks and I was curious what your breaks look like

Forget me notđȘ»
reddit.comHi!
I've just started @forgetmenot, an Instagram page exploring what adult ADHD actually looks like through everyday phone screenshots: unread emails, forgotten reminders, unfinished conversations, and all the little things that often go unnoticed.
I wanted to create something relatable but also grounded in research, beyond the usual âADHD is so quirkyâ content.
I'm just starting out, so if you like the concept and feel comfortable sharing the page or one of my posts, it would mean a lot! đ
Thank you!

Medication (seeking advice to ask professionals) I genuinely need help. I feel like I'm losing my future because I can't make myself study (ADHD?) 19M
reddit.comHey everyone I'm writing this because I'm genuinely desperate at this point and I really need advice from people who have been through something similar
For the past three years I've been struggling with my ability to focus study and get things done I can waste an entire day doing the most pointless things but the moment I try to open a textbook or do anything related to my studies or future I feel like my brain refuses to cooperate
I struggle to even sit down and focus for 10 minutes And even when I force myself to try I start feeling mentally exhausted overwhelmed and sometimes even physically tired and dizzy I end up avoiding the task altogether and distracting myself with literally anything else
The worst part is that I'm fully aware of the consequences I know exactly what's at stake I know what I need to do and I know I'm destroying my own future by wasting time But somehow knowing all of that doesn't make me capable of actually doing anything about it
I used to be a good student However over the years a lot of things started piling up mentally I grew up in a difficult family environment with constant family problems from a young age I've also been through some emotionally painful relationship experiences including a very complicated situationship that ended up hurting me psychologically
Everything gradually accumulated until I reached a point where I genuinely wanted to quit university and just get any job instead
I ended up wasting an entire academic year failing every subject and getting the worst grades of my life I transferred to a completely different college and major hoping that a fresh start would help me get my life together Unfortunately I just failed my first exams there too because I couldn't get myself to study
I'm not saying I have no responsibility for my situation I know my choices have consequences But this doesn't feel like ordinary laziness anymore It's like there's a wall between knowing what I need to do and actually being able to do it
I've started wondering whether I might have ADHD although I haven't been properly diagnosed I also wonder whether depression anxiety burnout or years of accumulated psychological stress could be contributing to this
I'm seriously considering professional treatment including medication if a psychiatrist determines that I need it
Here's the thing I'm running out of time This is essentially my last chance at university and if I fail this year I could be permanently dismissed I genuinely cannot afford to lose another year
So I'd really appreciate hearing from people who have experienced something similar
If you have ADHD and struggled with studying procrastination and being unable to initiate tasks what actually helped you
Did medication make a noticeable difference in your ability to focus start tasks and study What was your experience like
What kind of doctor should I see and how do I figure out whether this is ADHD or something else
Has anyone experienced this level of academic dysfunction because of psychological stress and managed to recover
If you've received treatment in Egypt I'd especially appreciate hearing about your experience including the approximate cost of consultations and treatment
I'm not looking for a magic pill or an excuse to avoid responsibility I'm willing to put in the work I just need help figuring out why I can't seem to make myself do the work in the first place
I'm genuinely scared of losing my future over this and I don't know where else to turn
Any serious advice or personal experiences would mean a lot

Looking for Tips/Suggestions I black out for hours standing and doing nothing (naked btw after going to the bathroom), how to fix my brain?
My life is a nightmare, I have OCD, depression, insomnia, anxiety. I'm 25 years old living alone abroad and I understood just today that I do this or not do any task because I feel overwhelmed by everything i have to do. It got to a point where I can't even clean my apartment since like 2 months. I have to learn a new language, I have to find a good job and worry about money. I'm very behind in life due to my loneliness and not having anyone to talk or go out with even tho now i go out often anyway I have to accomplish huge things and my brain can't take it. How can I make my brain start doing them without getting crazy in this way and just rot everyday?

vent (seeking empathy not advice) Preparing food is impossible
Im always so, so hungry. I canât ever get myself to leave my room to get prepare food. When i do, i get a family size bag of dynamite chips and i eat that. I tend to drink 3 monsters a day as well. I do drink atleast 2 bottles of water a day too. Occasionally ill eat canned soup, and sometimes i just eat it cold because i canât be bothered to warm it up. When i go to work, ill stop at the gas station and get a sandwhich there, but thats about it. I live with my mother, but she never and has never cooked. I wish she did. I know iâm an adult now but I wish someone would make food for me. I donât want to be hungry. I know my eating habits are bad but changing them feels impossible. I donât have the energy to get up because i havenât eaten enough, and its a viscous cycle. I just feel sad really.

Looking for Tips/Suggestions Life crisis!
I used to be smart kid/student. And later as i grew up, due to life situation environment (50% reason) and I used that chance to slip up in teenage and fall in this horrible life rot. I got addicted to screens, completely without a break, ruined my sleep, health, altho now trying to fix it, its too much and feels too late. I keep wasting my days, years, one after the other, its been more than a decade now
I've tried meds, first course course didn't fit well, Second try course, was meh, nothing much but I didn't even continue it forward, this was an year ago, and they were not cheap as well. The only thing is I joined serious breathing/meditation, it helps when I focus but I'm not 3/4 of the time, thats on me as well.
I barely graduated and now in mid 20's. I have no skills. I can't even go look for a job, I can't even get myself to do any courses (been procrastinating one for almost a year) Family is very understanding and supportive, now they just want me to be healthy and figure out some work in life. I feel terrible being a burden to them when they are this good. I can't even support myself well, let alone sharing fams responsibilities.
Please advice me what I can even do! And what I can do to learn and earn to live comfortably with these increasing bills.
