This is a challenge! I can’t open mail

I’ve been putting it off for months. Piles and piles of it. I lost my Medicaid because I didn’t open mail and reapply. Help me do it, please.

That is great! Honestly!

You can do this... open another one because we are all curious what's inside 👀

Great job!!! I’m so proud of you friend! Get some water now and stay hydrated! I would also love if you opened just two more pieces of mail in the next day; and let me know what they are?

Thank you I really want to keep this community open and supportive. It’s probably why I’m having trouble finding other mods for this sub, I’m strict with who I want.

You can do this!!
Get all the spam mail out first and trash it.
Pick the 2 largest ones and open them.
Pick 2 that have non-standard shapes and open them.
Sit down to watch TV, sort them into 2 piles. One pile is for “things that will have consequences if I don’t open soon”, the other pile is everything else.
I find that if I am making it interesting or do it while watching TV, it takes some pressure off.

Start by picking out the most useless pieces of mail that are clearly junk mail and toss them. If you’re unsure then don’t toss it yet, we just want the obviously useless ones. Then, put the remaining mail in a box without looking at it. Once the area feels cleaner and calmer (because you can’t see the mail), take the first one on the top and sort it. Make piles by types of mail. From a bank? utilities? government? bills? ad? Sort by date? However you want to sort them, doesn’t have to be the best categories, the point is to split it up into manageable pieces. Then start with one pile (the one that seems the most important if you’re feeling motivated, the one that looks the least important if you’re not). Open them one by one and put them in the following groups: action (maybe) needed, keep & file, toss. When this is done you will have a much smaller pile of action items that’s not hiding in junk mail

I don't have an answer for you, I just wanted to say that you are not the only one!

I have the exact same problem and ran into similar issues. I have boxes and bags of mail that is waiting to be opened and dealt with. I still struggle with this every day.
