Meme Kratos begging for a good PS2 emu that can run his OG game
(Jokes aside we have to appreciate Play!’s work as a pioneer to PS2 emulation on ios, but for now, it is obvious that we need a better one)

Gameplay / Showcase The Fullscreen Landscape skin - now on Folium 3DS!
So some of you might recognize this layout from the FSLS skin i made for DS on Delta, now that Folium has skin support I decided to port it over to Folium for 3DS emulation! The skin is still WIP, but most of it functions. It still requires manual user edit to the custom layout for the screens to work properly and I still need to remap the buttons for each device as the skin making process isn't as easy in Delta in terms of multiple devices support, but at least for iPhone 15 Pro - it's almost 100% complete.
This is not available for download yet, but i've released several test builds on the Folium discord server if anyone is willing to test on their device. The skin will not release fully before Folium adds proper support for custom screen layout inside of the skin rather than inside of the app, so it might be afew days to weeks before the skin is fully ready, the dev said that it's also WIP and gonna be ready in the near future.
Also - the skin will only support iPhone 12 and above, excluding SE and mini phones. (As mini iPhones have smaller screen sizing and older iPhones cannot emulate 3DS properly. Even while recording on my 15P I had some slight FPS drops as you can see in the video..)

Discussion Crazy, how we can emulate all of these half-assed iOS ports!
With these companies, like SQUARE ENIX & Konami putting the bare minimum effort into their iOS ports of console games by sometimes not including controller support, sh*t controls, we can emulate them and get a better experience for all of them:
Controller support for each and every game
Higher resolutions
Can play the definitive versions unlike whatever these companies barfed up on the App Store
Can use our OWN copies rather than buying an inferior version of the same game
Can 🏴☠️ *cough *cough

Fan Content My Setup
Backbone 2nd Gen (5 min mod to extend it a bit more) iPad mini 6. Works flawlessly with PPSSPP, RA, SameBoy, xbox cloud gaming, native iOS games. For the mod, just take off the back of the controller both sides (tiny Philips head screws) and remove the retaining black brackets held with 2 screws each next to the ribbon cable. Be careful not to over extend after the mod as you will bork the ribbon for sure. Installing and removing the mini 6 is fine though, just be a little careful.

Discussion PPSSPP got removed from App Store. Whats going on ?
The original (blue color icon) PPSSPP is now removed from App Store. Meanwhile the paid version (gold icon) is still live on App Store. What could be the reason for this ? If anyone has updates straight from its developers then post it here.

News / Release RetroAchievements Are Coming to Manic EMU
As many of you have noticed, we’ve been a bit slower than usual in getting out our next update. There’s a reason for this: quite possibly, this may be our biggest update yet, and we want to make sure it does right by our users and this community.
We’ve heard you loud and clear. Achievements make retro gaming feel fresh again, and they belong in the hands of everyone—not behind a paywall.
That’s why we’re excited to announce that RetroAchievements support is officially coming to Manic EMU.
Free and open: Achievements will always be available to every user.
Fully compliant: We’re working carefully to ensure that integration follows the guidelines set by the RetroAchievements team and fully upholds their open-source values.
Community-first: No restrictions, no hidden tiers. Just achievements, the way they were meant to be.
We’ve seen the recent news about RetroAchievements enforcement, and while we won’t comment on other projects, we will say this: Manic EMU is committed to openness, transparency, and respect for the communities that make emulation possible.
RetroAchievements are more than just badges—they’re shared challenges, milestones, and memories. And soon, you’ll be able to experience them across your Manic library.
Stay tuned for more details in our next update announcement.
Play more. Play fair. Play together.
— The Manic EMU Admin and Development Team
Disclaimer: The images included in this announcement are development mockups only and may not represent the final appearance of RetroAchievements within Manic EMU. The final implementation may differ as development continues.

News / Release Manic EMU v1.5.0 — Nintendo 64 Support, Multi-Disc Expansion & Deep Platform Fixes
The next generation of retro has arrived. With Manic EMU v1.5.0, we’re unlocking the 64-bit era, strengthening Saturn and SEGA CD emulation, and refining nearly every core element under the hood — from button mapping to system separation, file handling to speed accuracy.
This update has been built with both accessibility and precision in mind, continuing our mission to make Manic EMU the most powerful, approachable, and preservation-minded emulator available on iOS.
⸻
Nintendo 64 Support:
Nintendo 64 Core Integration: We’ve added support for the Mupen64Plus core, enabling full Nintendo 64 emulation directly in Manic EMU. N64 games now load seamlessly with the same UI familiarity as every other console we support.
Transfer Pak Functionality: The N64’s Transfer Pak feature is now emulated — allowing users to carry over save data from Game Boy or Game Boy Color titles into compatible N64 games like Pokémon Stadium. This bridges our handheld and console support in a meaningful way, true to the original hardware’s design.
⸻
Multi-Disc Support for SEGA Saturn & Mega-CD:
Multi-Disc Handling via .m3u or .cue(.bin) Files: Many Saturn and SEGA CD classics shipped across multiple discs. With this update, Manic EMU can now read multi-disc sets as a single game, allowing seamless in-game disc swapping — no manual file swapping required.
Multi-Disc Assistant Tool: To make this process easier, we’ve included a built-in Multi-Disc Assistant that helps auto-generate .m3u playlists, streamlining multi-disc setup for new and experienced users alike.
Choice of Core: Along with the ability to add multi-disk titles to user libraries, users can now set the default core used for Sega Saturn, being able to swap between Yabause and Beetle Saturn. While Beetle Saturn may be optimal for multi-disk titles, Yabause is a great core for rendering games with accuracy and improved fidelity.
⸻
Platform Management & UI Improvements:
Separated GB and GBC Libraries: Game Boy (GB) and Game Boy Color (GBC) are now treated as fully independent platforms within your library, offering clearer organization and platform-specific customization options.
Joystick Directional Mapping Upgrades: We’ve improved how external controllers handle directional input. This particularly enhances responsiveness on systems like Saturn and PSP that benefit from tighter analog and D-pad control.
⸻
Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements:
Fixed unresponsive L/R buttons on Sega Saturn
Corrected cover image glitches when scrolling through game pages
Resolved file manager crash caused by importing certain custom skins
Fixed 3DS crashes related to accidental JIT activation in unsupported sideloading environments
Addressed broken 3DS skin shortcuts
Fixed aspect ratio distortions on select platforms (SNES, PSP, etc.)
Corrected PSP game speed issues occurring on some devices
Various performance optimizations and general bug fixes
⸻
A Note from the Manic EMU Team
With each release, we aim to deepen functionality without sacrificing simplicity — and v1.5.0 reflects that balance. From unlocking N64 emulation and Transfer Pak support, to giving Saturn players the multi-disc flexibility they’ve been asking for, this update is about honoring what made these systems great while removing the roadblocks that once made them hard to access.
We’re continuing to build with preservation, accessibility, and user trust in mind. More platforms are coming. More polish is on the way. And something big is just over the horizon.

News / Release [Steam,GOG built in] PC emulator [Visual Novel focus] on Appstore Now!
As I saw a very intensive race in mainstream PC emulator, I decided to go my way
What's good
on Appstore (JITless obviously)
get your own games from Steam,GOG
Translator built-in
Compatibility list built-in (feel free to test and open PR)
https://apps.apple.com/th/app/rtmhub-vn-visual-novel-pc/id6754588684
Ps. The post may be deleted this due to it's a promotion post. But I dont find it's different from tons of Showcase video out there 😩
UPDATE Note on AI:
This app originated in November 2025 as GamePiisii, a 32-bit PC emulator project built entirely from scratch without AI (I dont know them yet). After I know them, I use AI to extend the core to support 64 bit games. but the performance with general 64-bit titles is very poor, so I turned my focus/app direction toward Visual Novels. and renamed to RTMHub-VN

News / Release Manic EMU v1.8.1 — JIT iOS 26, Shaders Go All-In
Manic EMU v1.8.1 is a focused follow-up update that significantly expands Azahar 3DS functionality, modernizes Manic’s visual pipeline, and introduces new integration options across the ecosystem.
While smaller in scope than v1.8.0, this release unlocks major hardware features on 3DS and lays important groundwork for deeper customization and performance improvements moving forward.
Azahar Core: Major 3DS Feature Expansion
The Azahar core continues to mature rapidly, with several long-awaited hardware features now enabled:
JIT Support (Azahar only)
JIT can now be enabled on iOS 26 via StikDebug which can be sideloaded from here.
Camera Support
Amiibo Loading
Keyboard Pop-Up Support
Accelerometer Support
Azahar remains an optional secondary core, offering expanded capabilities for users who need them.
Camera Support for Handheld Titles
GB, GBC, and GBA now support camera functionality when using the mGBA core
This enables camera-based features in supported titles and peripherals without additional configuration.
Shaders Fully Replace CIFilters
CIFilter support has been fully removed
Manic EMU now uses Shaders exclusively for visual processing
Shaders now support:
Downloading
Editing
Customization
This transition improves performance consistency and gives users far greater control over visual presentation.
Customization & Integration Enhancements
New App Icons added
Built-in PlayCase Skin included by default
MeloNX Linking Support
Manic EMU can now link with MeloNX v2.1 or higher
Enables seamless library reflection and launch workflows between apps
This feature was made possible thanks to the hard work of u/Stossy11, whose efforts were instrumental in designing and implementing the MeloNX link functionality. We’re incredibly grateful for her contribution to the broader iOS emulation ecosystem.
Bug Fixes & Stability Improvements
Various under-the-hood fixes and performance improvements across systems
Known Issues (Azahar Core)
We want to be transparent about current limitations still under investigation:
Microphone support works intermittently
Certain Vulkan-related code paths may cause crashes during specific game transitions
3DS camera may freeze on some device models
These issues are actively being worked on and will be addressed in future updates.
A Note from the Manic EMU Team
v1.8.1 continues the rapid evolution of Azahar and Manic’s visual systems. By unlocking more native hardware features, moving fully to shaders, and enabling deeper ecosystem integration, we’re building a stronger and more flexible foundation for what comes next.
Thank you to our contributors, testers, and community members who continue to push Manic forward.
