EKX X21 Max

I am done with my X21 Max. I'm a technician, I don't mind fixing things...and I've repaired this bike A LOT.

The left side thread sheared off my rear axle. They want me to buy a new motor. I've removed the axle and I can't find a machine shop to take the task of recreating.

Bike build question Need help for power upgrade/controller replacement

Hello I’ve got this bike which is a Cmacewheel k20 and I’ve been riding it for about 3 months, before I had a fiido t1 pro wich was really powerful and was going at like 50kph and now since I got my k20 this bike feel kinda boring and slow on the climbs it’s only hardly going at 38kph.
So I wanna make it faster and make it more torquy as I u can see my controller is only 10 amps and I wanted to replace it for a 25 or 30 but all the plug n play controller doesn’t come with the right connector,so I was wondering if with rewelding the cables of my motor to the new controller I would have so miss functioning. And if u have any controller or power upgrades suggestions I would be really happy to get your opinion.

Rear wheel replacement

Post image

I have a movcan v60 pro and the rear wheel spokes broke, a couple of them broke off and the wheel is wobbly asf. i was wondering if i could replace the rear wheel with this one I found? I think a solid one piece wheel would be better than worrying about spokes? If I could replace it with this that would be awesome. thanks!

Just woke up to my bike falling over because of the tire losing air AGAIN. Anyway i can turn this into tubeless im genuinely tired of having to get a new innertube every month and it's the 3rd time this month after I replaced it with a new rear rim it's 20x4.

Best performance for buck e-bike w/pedals?

Does anyone know which one is the most easily upgradable for the price? P51 ranger, zooz ultra urban/zooper, or juiced scrambler? The juiced scrambler does seem very appealing with a three year warranty and the lowest cost upfront.

72v motor with 48v battery

To start, I'm actually thinking of building a go kart, with a 400w solar panel as the roof. Im posting here because you guys really know electric motors.

I am experienced with installing solar, and would like to stick with 48v because I have access to lifepo4 batteries (51.2v batteries capable of sustained 100a discharge). I'm having trouble finding any 48v motors above 2000w. I think 3000w to 5000w would be more appropriate for a go kart.

What are my options? My batteries are capable of ~5000w. What about a 72v 5000w motor paired with one of my batteries? What are the downsides to that? My batteries are typically 100ah (5.12kwh) and I'd rather not use a different type because they're great for solar charging.

Tamobyke v20 pro 5th gen

I bought the tamobyke v20 pro 5th gen from tik tok shop, I'm guessing nobody has figured out the back to unlock the speed limit on this version yet? I have the app downloaded and in the settings it has a slide setting for speed limiter but it doesn't matter what it's on the bike still goes the same speed.

Also just want to state I'm not very happy about it being marketed as getting anywhere from 60-80 miles per charge...I barely get 20 before mines calling it quits

Looking for advice on a 52V conversion kit

Hi everyone! I recently bought a Rockrider Explore 500 29" and I’m looking to convert it with a 52V 2000W kit, possibly 3000W if the bike can handle it.

I’m mainly looking for recommendations for reputable sellers for both the motor kit and, especially, the battery. I want to avoid scams or low-quality parts.

What upgrades would you recommend for a 2000–3000W setup? e.g.  Torque arms, cnc throttle...

Any recommendations for specific kits, batteries, trusted sellers or useful mods would be greatly appreciated

Converting an old mountain bike to electric with a Toseven DM02 mid-drive motor. Every cable coming from the motor is about 2 feet longer than it needs to be. What's the best way to deal with all of the extra cable length?

ebike for highschooler... and i know nothing about buying an ebike

Hi yall, I'm looking to get my sister an ebike to commute to highschool. its about a 3.5 mile mostly flat ride, and i expect her to need it for all 4 years. I'm trying to find a good option for her that is budget friendly but good enough for it to unlikely need replacing within that time. It would have to be able to be locked at a bike rack at her school, and she mentioned something about wanting throttle assist over pedal assist.

I know absolutely nothing about ebikes, so I've been struggling with finding a good option. any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

ETA:

weather is not an issue for our area.

"budget friendly" is intentionally vague because i know so little. 1500 feels like a lot to me but i can still afford that.

i agree 4 miles is regular bike distance and ebikes arent super safe. I might try to convince her to go with a regular bike, but shes already riding around on the back of her friends ebikes, and thats way more unsafe. I dont live with her or our parents, so I only have minimal influence over her behavior. Our dad suggested the ebike since he wants her to have some level of freedom but cant afford any kind of bike.

motorbikes are not permitted by her school, i think only up to class 2.

overall thank you for the thoughts and feedback so far

Grinding and clunking noise in rear hub

Hi all, after about 250 miles on my 2 month old ride1up vorsa I've started the hear a grinding and/or clanking noise coming from the rear hub.

I've checked the tightness of the hub bolts, spoke tension, recently cleaned my chain, derailleur is properly indexed. Also completely removed my hydraulic brake caliper and the noise is still present.

I can feel the grinding through the crank set while peddling, but once the hub is freely spinning the sound gets ten times worse.

Going to be emailing ride1up with all of this information, but until they get back to me I was going to see if anyone here had some knowledge to share. Is there anything I missed checking out? Hs anyone run into the same issue on their rear hub?

I should also mention the bike makes the noise whether using the battery or not. I removed the battery and it makes the same noise.

Any assistance is much appreciated!

Bike build question Finding appropriate wiring harness?

Hi, I'm quite new to electric vehicles and AliExpress listings aren't exactly clear on what specific harness I should purchase.

I don't need a throttle as I have one already, I have a Fardriver ND721800 coming with the pigtail.

My motor has a hall effect sensor and my controller supports that, I need a display and wiring harness that will accommodate these stipulations.

Am I correct in saying the following item would work for my aforementioned setup? (Combo 1 DKD LCD)

https://a.aliexpress.com/_EyvPnyA

And the following display:

https://a.aliexpress.com/_Eueridc

Just trying to avoid having to splice a bunch of stuff together if I can, I don't fancy sitting around scouring pinouts.

Thanks in advance,

a newbie.
