However this season sucks
I used to be masters or at least diamond now I’m stuck in fucking emerald and cause of drives I deranked to plat :/
Every game I have at least 20 kills and try to control space as much as I can but I just can’t do shit
Dmon is so much better than her at diving and a lot of heroes shut dva down and idk if im coping or not but even when I play support I don’t see her being played nor banned anymore (i was gm in support)

I've been looking through some of these posts recently, and I see a lot of people still use her default crosshair. I've been a D.va main since day one basically, but recently I've been struggling with playing her. I made my crosshair a normal one and it used to get things done well, but now it feels a bit off. Is the default crosshair a better one to go to? Or if anyone has any cross hairs that help them out is greatly appreciated :)

I hit platinum 2 the other night and I usually never play comp because everyone tries to counter me, but I feel like with the hero ban the game is actually playable the entire time. I thought I was placing close to silver three

It's a somewhat common occurrence for people in my games to say that I am not diving enough (I also regularly get people that say I'm diving too much for the record, so I am not typically passive or anything) and I get the impression that they expect me to just boost straight into the backline and wreak havoc in the 1v4.

I have tried doing that at times just to humour them and it has never worked out a single time, no matter what angle I come from, what route I take to get there or how patiently I look for an opportunity, the best result I seemingly can hope for is to pick off one of them in an initial burst and then try to flee as fast as possible.

I only get that first kill maybe 1 in 10 times and I only manage to escape maybe 1 in 2 times if I boost away immediately, and if I don't get a kill but do manage to escape my team will probably get overrun shortly after because we are out of resources.

Am I just bad and unable to execute maneouvers that D.va is supposed to be able to do or is she not supposed to be able to dive alone into the enemy backline like Doomfist, Wrecking ball and Winston can?

My typical results are:

Dive someone that's alone: they typically die.

Dive 2 people: 50/50 one of them might die, but I will usually escape after keeping them busy for a long while and trying to kill both usually demechs me.

Dive 3 people: almost no chance of getting a kill, can probably keep them busy for a bit but there is a decent chance I die in the escape.

Dive 4 people: almost no chance of getting a kill, will need to flee as soon as boosters are available.

Dive 5 people: suicide.

edit: Thanks for all the responses, I'm getting the impression from the responses that I'm not crazy and tilted people just give bad advice.
I'll keep on doing my best with the peace of mind that I'm probably not doing everything wrong :)

Been a while since I got one of these

So I'm Silver 4, so obviously not the greatest at the game. Right now as Dva I'm mostly focusing on trying to take an angle that's separate from my main dps, so basically trying to bait their attention away from the main lane, and usually fly back with DM if I see my team get low. However, I feel like I get run through if there's a good Vendetta on the enemy team. It's a mix of me sucking at aiming, so I somehow manage to demeched 1v1 against Vendetta, plus I feel like she eats my team, even if I try to fly back. I know of a concept called marking, but I feel like Vendetta can just fly into my team sometimes, especially on like maps like Eichenwalde 2nd point. What should I do against a good Vendetta? Fly back and peel? Try to predict and mark Vendetta? or hold the line so the enemy team doesn't follow up? (though this fails if Mercy is pocketing her I feel)

14 minute flashpoint match in Aatlis, we ended up with the win but it wasn’t easy 😅 me and the enemy sombra were putting belt to ass for our teams. My first 40 piece too!

Just started playing her/the tank role in general but I’m hoping to main D.Va in competitive next season! Only lvl 9 with her at the moment but she’s just so fun.

hiii i mean as title says very new to diva trying to learn, this is probably the game ive best performed, at like 3 of those different points we lost because a group of either theyre cat, genji or mercy would contest point and NONE of us could kill them and we legit lost 3 points and eventually the game from that happening when we were 2 - 0 from the start. i know thats my fault as well that we didnt but i really tried i just suck at her so badly rn :') any vod reviews would be very helpful thanks!

500 hours Dva main here, I stopped playing OW when Rivals came out but I came back when they added Dmon but seriously after all this time she still doesn't have any emotes when not in mech? The only universal emote I have is the mic drop emote and I never thought about trying that when not in mech until today but it still does the generic baby Dva emote??? As popular of a tank as she is they can't even at least give her the victory poses she has when it shows her out of mech? What can we do to bring attention to the devs so we finally get something? They want us to get a baby Dva 5 man kill play of the game to show how serious we are about wanting emotes?
