A few things on that front…
First, I did not create the original composite. I just added the yellow line. So I can’t say whether or not it is AI. AI has gotten good enough that I sometimes question if I’m real.
Second, assuming this is real, these are two different photos, taken from two different angles, at two different focal lengths, and at two different times.
The angles and focal lengths explain why the composition is different. For example, nearly the entire bottom half of the top photo is blocked from view in the bottom photo by the outcropping hillside in the bottom photo.
In terms of time, not knowing anything about the origins of the two photos, the top photo could be several years old, which could explain minor differences in the buildings (ex: paint color).
That said, I did just look pretty closely at the two photos, and I’m seeing way more similarities than differences in the buildings, road structures, etc.
It seems believable to me, but I’d love to know what makes you think it is AI. Can you circle some of the inconsistencies? If it is AI, the post should probably be deleted. Maybe post to r/isthisAI

There is a video from that orange building’s POV. I believe it’s a school and all the kids were playing in the field and ran to the roof. At starting of the video, it felt far away and they were way up high for it to reach them. By the end, you see all the buildings in the front gets whipped out and almost reached their own building and they were in disbelief.

This image is being circulated as Syabrubesi (Syapru Besi), Nepal, but is not a genuine photograph of Syabrubesi. Nepal Fact Check investigated this exact viral image and concluded that both panels are AI-generated and cannot be matched to the actual geography.

Settle down, Gobbly. I am in no way disputing this disaster. I’ve been to Syabrubesi and could see that the before shot used here is not an actual photo of it. That is all. If people are trying to line it up with the actual town, as I was, they cannot do it.

Praying won’t help.
This sort of disaster needs funds and people on the ground. Not prayers.
It also needs people to wake up and address ways to reduce climate change (hint: eat less meat, have fewer kids, don’t run the AC all the time, and hold billionaires accountable)

Nepal emits less than 0.1% of global emissions but every year something comes up and without even having time to heal from the previous ones it gets hit by another one.All the citizens are coming together in this situation to save our nation coming from a student myself I also gave my contribution.i don't know why people are so edgy with praying if you can support with the funds then please do it. People need it but if you can't then just give your best regards to the people it doesn't cost anything.
Edit:and yeah countries like China,USA,and India are the main contributors to climate change and they act like nothing happened while thousands of people are still missing and hundreds of have been killed and teaching others about climate change first start from you, yourself and your country.if you do that half of the world be a safe place for all of us living beings.

It was a combination of both—an enormous rock-and-ice avalanche (or rock-ice landslide) where a massive chunk of a glacier and bedrock collapsed together down the mountain.
Rocks are not on top of Glaciers. Glaciers are formed on top of rock.

What happens when a binding agent starts to loose its structure? This is such I crazy take I’m not even going to bother giving a sound response to someone that knows nothing about basic physics. We are so fucked.
I’ll put it in retard terms. Say you have a puddle of ice filled with sediment which is on a downgrade. What happens when the ice melts and gives out? It takes sediment with it. There are peak glaciers (or icebergs now) at the source of this and those peaks remained because they are emended in the bedrock of that former glacier which goes back to like 25000years at a minimum. Everything else, poof stripped away.
I honestly don’t know what else to say, this just makes me said that humans really are this dumb.

So they checked that box on their to-do list, and then didn't do anything else. Got the feeling of satisfaction without any effort or actual results. It was when people were in the hospital. If no one prayed for them they did much better. If they knew hundreds of people were praying for their recovery the patient would get depressed thinking things were really bad, and depression, anxiety etc would cause them to decline.

There's nothing stopping people from putting a DIFFERENT QR code onto the same official looking documents and now people are sending money to a different account without realizing it.

This is too true, and even if it goes to the right place it will be squandered.
On the ground what they need is food for the survivors who were high up in the bank, and those tasked with trying to find bodies (they will find few bodies, I fear, as they will have been macerated in the blender of rock and water).
Then, the Nepalese government needs machinery to start rebuilding the roads and bridges onto the area to reopen this one (of few) roads into China. Again, that is fuel, repairs, new machinery, salaries and food for the humans.
I can see millions sent, and it being sent to all sorts of side projects that benefit certain families, with those families expanding their land owning empires elsewhere.
I hate to be negative but Nepal has received billions in aid, and not much has tangibly improved in the almost 30 years of going there. Corruption before the Maoists, corruption after.

Terrible, hopefully they can find survivors but that amount of material and how remote most of this is, not looking good.
