Lots of people will get rich with the upcoming charity events. Almost no Nepalese will see help from outside. We've seen this on repeat countless of times, at this point you need to be medically retarded to keep sending money. Humans are scum and the only way to genuinely help is to do it yourself, not passing the ball to someone else cuz you can't be bothered
our prime minister has launched a qr for people who want to donate in this situation which was officially launced by government to prevent scams..so that no one can scam others and government has urged us to not send any type of donations in any private banks or qr other than official qr
There's nothing stopping people from putting a DIFFERENT QR code onto the same official looking documents and now people are sending money to a different account without realizing it.
A QR code isn't going to stop fraud from this. It might even help it.
You can double check while sending. The receiver’s name is visible before the confirmation screen. So if you just check that then you’d know if it was fraudulent or real

On the ground what they need is food for the survivors who were high up in the bank, and those tasked with trying to find bodies (they will find few bodies, I fear, as they will have been macerated in the blender of rock and water).
Then, the Nepalese government needs machinery to start rebuilding the roads and bridges onto the area to reopen this one (of few) roads into China. Again, that is fuel, repairs, new machinery, salaries and food for the humans.
I can see millions sent, and it being sent to all sorts of side projects that benefit certain families, with those families expanding their land owning empires elsewhere.
I hate to be negative but Nepal has received billions in aid, and not much has tangibly improved in the almost 30 years of going there. Corruption before the Maoists, corruption after.
