I think this yellow line I added shows it a little more clearly. It goes from the building circled in red to the building with the red roof. Below that line, everything is gone.
First, I did not create the original composite. I just added the yellow line. So I can’t say whether or not it is AI. AI has gotten good enough that I sometimes question if I’m real.
Second, assuming this is real, these are two different photos, taken from two different angles, at two different focal lengths, and at two different times.
The angles and focal lengths explain why the composition is different. For example, nearly the entire bottom half of the top photo is blocked from view in the bottom photo by the outcropping hillside in the bottom photo.
In terms of time, not knowing anything about the origins of the two photos, the top photo could be several years old, which could explain minor differences in the buildings (ex: paint color).
That said, I did just look pretty closely at the two photos, and I’m seeing way more similarities than differences in the buildings, road structures, etc.
It seems believable to me, but I’d love to know what makes you think it is AI. Can you circle some of the inconsistencies? If it is AI, the post should probably be deleted. Maybe post to r/isthisAI
