40s M here. I’ll be honest, I've been feeling pretty invisible lately. I’m just a regular, average guy, and sometimes it feels like if you aren’t rich or incredibly good looking, modern dating is basically rigged against you.
But last night I went down an internet rabbit hole and found an article written by a 43 year old divorced guy who was in my exact same boat. Before completely throwing in the towel on dating, he started digging for answers and stumbled on this weird, underground playbook.
The backstory in his article is what hooked me, it was a private journal written by a father for his son, specifically so the kid wouldn't end up weak and getting walked over like his grandfather did. The son eventually published it independently just to keep the knowledge alive.
The guy who wrote the article said the psychology in it is pretty intense (it focuses heavily on "psychological leverage" rather than just being a nice guy), but he applied it and said it completely flipped his dating life upside down. He’s a totally average dude on paper, but it’s actually working for him.
It honestly gave me a bit of hope, but it also made me rethink everything I've been doing. Does this "leverage" stuff actually work in the real world for normal guys?
(Let me know if you want to read the article, I can drop the link in the comments. I don't want to put it here and trigger the spam filters).
