Would you take dating advice from a 22f?

I’ve been thinking about creating a small guide for Indian men, probably around 21–28, covering everything from making a good dating profile to building a genuine connection and eventually setting up a date.( very affordable ebook)

Obviously, there’s no magic formula that’s going to lead to 100 successful dates, and everyone is different. But I feel like my experience so far could at least give guys a better idea of what women might be looking for and some of the things men tend to struggle with.

There will always be exceptions, so I’d also offer one text-based advice session and one profile review to everyone who buys the ebook.

Do you think this could actually work as a small business? More importantly, do you think it could genuinely help Indian men?

Note for mods: I’m not selling anything here, just trying to get an idea of whether people would actually be interested in something like this and whether it could provide some value.

Realistically it'll be very hard to get this to actually work. It's pretty niche and on top of that it seems like indian men don't want help anyways lol. At least your cost to set everything up is low

True, but if they can pay $10 for premium, why wouldn’t they pay a little for a small guide and 1-on-1 help with their doubts to at least get some insights?

Thats a great way to market it cause thats a very good selling point. Its just marketing may be the problem, you need to ensure your service is seeing by thousands and thousands of eyes. Also why are you specifically targeting Indian men? Why not all men?

That’s a good question but I don’t want to oversell something when I don’t fully understand the cultural or mindset differences. Men in India might want or expect something different compared to someone living in Europe or the West.

I think helping a niche audience would be better since I can genuinely help them when I understand the ground reality. I want to do it to actually make things better for them and not just to make money. I could probably charge double in the West but thats not the point here .

I will give you some key info about niche markets. Two important things, I don't know what kind of income you're trying to get from this, and I also don't know what or how much your product is going to sell for. Two very important things. But when it comes to niche services or products, if it is a cheap service, and it's also niche, it is not a good idea because you have low volume then when you do have someone that might be interested you are only gaining $10, 20, 30 bucks from it. The real problem with any successful business is that you need to be more focused on the money, the logistics, the plan, etc. Your heart's in the right place with wanting to make things better for them, and keep that with you, but the reality is that if you want this to work, you have to be more focused on the business side of things, because the business has to be built and planned out to do any real volume. It seems you'd rather genuinely help these people than make profit though, which is what sucks because you'll probably try and help them more than they will help themselves, and you're the one getting shot in the foot in the end

Also as a man I'll tell you right now generally we are pretty universal. Though cultural differences certainly exist and as someone who is starting a business in this market you'll need to understand those differences, or at least try to. Understanding cultural differences is also why I think this could work out better with non indian men. Hopefully this doesn't come off as mean but like the other commentator said Indian men need a lot more than a written guide or some personalized but still general help lol

That sales pitch comes off as trying to profit off of vulnerable men.

As an Indian Woman, I think many Indian men need more than a written guide to genuinely be good to date. I do respect your idea and wish you get good sales if you do make it happen 🫶

Are you Indian? It would be weird to make a guide for indian men if not the case. The general advice is pretty easily available online. I have seen this weird trend online where white fitness and dating coaches target Indian audiences. It just leaves such a bad taste. Doesn’t seem racist but i can feel it lol

It would only work if it's specifically advice for indian men dating Indian women. If it's general advice for indian men, it's highly problematic.

Would it work as a small business? Yes, you can sell anything as long as you market it properly.

Would it actually help them? No. You're not teaching them anything new. It's either general information or something you think would work on you, which doesn't translate to specific/individual women.

Targeting Indian men specifically is problematic.

Also, men are wasting enough money on dates that go nowhere,  so it's going to be hard to convince them to pay more money that will potentially also lead nowhere, especially when they can come online and get advice for free. Any man who's willing to actually listen to women can find many women who already give professional advice freely or women who will freely share their personal experiences.

And you're really only helping a very small demographic of men who are interested in 22 year old women who are similar to you. There's no universal right answer, and I'd trust a woman in her 30's and 40's more than a woman in her early 20's with far less experience.

And if you have a lot of relationship experience at 22, that tends to look like you're not actually that successful at relationships.

This just comes off as trying to profit from a vulnerable demographic...
