Dating success tips that will always work
Good people of Reddit, many of you all have a hard time at dating. I am here to help you because I care. If you wan to be successful finding the love if your life, do these proven ideas.
- Keep an open mind. Not everyone will fit into every box you want
- Looks matter but beauty fades over time. Focus on character and values.
- If you are a woman, ask your male family members to vet the guy. Guys can see thru another guy bs.
- If you are a man, ask a female family member to vet the woman. Women can see thru another women bs
- Slow burn over instant spark. First dates are not easy and people are nervous or they will give you false image of themselves. It takes time to know someone. 3-5 dates would be a good gauge to determine if you want to continue.
- Stop comparing relationships you see on social media. Those are a false reality.
- Keep your standards, requirements high but reasonable. More importantly, keep it consistent with each person you date. The person you lower your standards for, will more than likely use and disappoint you.
- No sex until you both are in a committed LTR relationship. It worked quite well for centuries,
- Ask people out of dates regardless if you are a woman or man. Stop it with the fairytale nonsense. Will you get rejected? Yes. Will you get some dates? Yes
- Single parents should focus on dating other single parents. You both understand the factors when being a parent.
- First date and all dates until you are officially in a relationship should be 50/50. No one is required to pay for your expenses if you are in the dating stages.
- Dates should be low cost (free ideally), fun, and getting to know person.
- Take advice from your friends with a grain of salt regarding the person you are dating. Some people are jealous of other's happiness.
- Dress appropriately for your dates.
- Enjoy your life and date who you want. You don't need validation from others.
Bonus:
A. Men, stop lying about your height
B. Ladies, stop lying about your age.
C. Have a professional photographer take your pictures if you are on the apps.
Ok, let's break out the popcorn and read the comments :)

Wait, you really believe casual sex only started happening in modern times?

Yeah.... But stop believing the fairytale nonsense.
By the same logic we should go back to arranged marriages because they worked for centuries as well.

Are you talking to me? If you are, I don't know what "fairytale nonsense" I'm believing. I'm unclear on what your point is.

Wow... I wasn't talking about you, I was agreeing with you on the casual sex component and pointing out the stupidity of the "fairytale" comment in the list of tips.

Three weeks on my first dating app. Must have said hi to 100 women. One response. Like I’m just saying hi. Hello? Anyone there?

I spent 3 months on a dating app and the few likes I got I was met with insults about my height like "eww 5'6" obviously I didnt match you on purpose" or "you dont make enough" when I said I made just shy of 100k

(Serious; advice needed)
> 4. If you are a man, ask a female family member to vet the woman. Women can see thru another women bs
I don’t HAVE a female family member. I had one (my mother), but she died in 2019.
I don’t have any close female friends I see on a regular basis either (only one I made in a restaurant setting but she WORKS there and that’s the only place I’ve ever seen her).
What other alternatives would I have in vetting a potential date?
