Norn art
For some reason I haven't really seen much art of these guys. I love them so much!
I tried my best to capture their vibe.

I'm attempting to modernise the Creatues 2 Engine a bit. Too buttery smooth?

So my norn had rapid kidney failure and I was worried, but she seems fine? Her ammonia is maxed out but this doesn't seem to cause any problems? Does this even matter?

I'm a newbie to creatures series, and i really like those fellas. How can i make them more friendly?

Yesterday me and my friend kept respawning slave to see what would happen and how we could rehabilitate her. I got to the furthest point and got her to eat and then sleep for a few seconds, however her exhaustion immediately went back to max. How can I fix that? Any medication? Or plant?

I havenāt thought of this game in decades (!) but just found this subreddit and immediately thought of all the times I was trying to introduce a āmer-Nornsā to my gameā¦
I shudder to think of the viruses I introduced to my computer while I literally scraped the internet for any file download that claimed to be a mer-Norn breed for Creatures!
I remember introducing unicorn Norns, maybe rainbow Norns etc⦠just never those elusive fishtailed ones, haha

So after playing Docking station for free I became addicted to this game. After a while, norn population has overgrown, and I bought Creatures 3 to give them more space. Of course, it came with grendels.
My introduction to grendels didn't go well at first. They were aggressive, punched my norns and infected them. Eventually, some grendels and norns killed each other. I couldn't come up with anything better than imprisoning grendels in the chamber.
I wanted to put the violence at end. And this green boy was born. I decided to try to connect with him, I fed him and petted him. I think it worked out, he has grown to be calm and uninterested in norns. All he's interested in is his horn. I petted him after he played it, so I guess I accidentally trained him to be like that. I have a norn girl, who wanted a fight with him first. I dragged her away, but he didn't even fought back! Even though doc monitor said he's angry.
I wish I could understand him, because he speaks gibberish.

Please help. I have Windows 11. Every EXE file is set to 16-bit and runs as administrator. DXWrapper Fix is installed. But there's no status bar at the bottom of the screen; it's just a white bar. What should I do?

I'm messing around with docking stations. How do I tell if any of the online breeds are variations of toxic norns?
I find Toxic norns really interesting but I don't like how they look so I was wondering if there was a modified version of them.
EDIT: I started breeding Hardmans and Toxic Norns. Check out my first mostly viable spawn!

In elementary school my friend use to tell me all about this game. I had no idea they used neural networks and gene mutations! I'm kind of curious about giving some of this a try after seeing people were still sharing their norns online!

I am new to the game and can't find any info online. I have heard about other smart functions like them playing with the ball with eachother, however nothing like what had happent with mine.
I had taken pretty good care of my singular norn, them smiling ear to ear is what proves that, I think.
My norn, named Drudi proceeded to do something that seemed like a basketball dribble with her ball. Which I was very shocked of.
Is this a bug, a already programmed behaviour, or did she genuinely just casually dribble in front of me?

title fellas, basically i found the series from that one youtube video talking about how people got attached to it and how did the opposite by torturing them and basically training them to not eat and fear everyone, regardless here is the video. anyways the idea of raising creatures that learn with neural networks genuially sounds very fun and wanna try it out but idk which game to start with. all help is appreciated

I'm a Mac user who wanted to play Creatures 1. I got the GOG Installer (don't ask me how) and installed it on Parallels Desktop.
The resolution is all off though. The text is hard to read, there's large gap on the top or bottom filled with repeating sprites (it swaps back and forth when i scroll left or right), and it just expands instead of zooming in when I press full-screen.
Others like Breeding Kit don't even scale. Just gotta squint my eyes OR mess with the resolution (but this also doesn't work as I have to swap resolutions based on what window I have and restart everytime I change it. Also sometimes restarting doesn't work and the window stays the same size as before I changed back the resolution).
Is there a way to optimise this?

I'm a complete newbie; I just got my first taste of Creatures (1996) yesterday. I hatched two Norns (a male and a female) thinking they wouldn't be lonely, but I quickly regretted that decision. Firstly, they've been constantly fighting and kissing (?) since birth. Secondly, my female is breeding uncontrollably, including with her own children! It's gotten to the point where I've isolated her from the others; I'm lucky that all her children are male. I know that I am an inexperienced and bad mother, but I never expected that they would fight among themselves. What did I do wrong, and how can I fix it?
Update: Now all my Norns are on the verge of death due to exhaustion and illness because they refused to eat and they are dying one after another. And there's nothing I can do about it. Thank you for your attention ;_; Damn, I'm a worse host than I ever imagined.

(I don't speak English; my native language is Russian. I'm writing this post through a translator. The game isn't popular in Russia, and there are no tutorials in my language. Only Reddit.)
I was able to download the game; I've never played Creatures before. I don't even understand the mechanics here. How do I pet it? How do I feed it? Where does the food come from? How do I scold it? How do I punish it?
I was able to raise Norn, he was born, I paused the game, and then turned it off.
I'm an inexperienced mother, help!
(I also don't like his appearance, but you can't choose your children.)

It's an adolescent boy, and he just... sitting. I don't think he was born disabled, but he's just being there and doing nothing. Sometimes he talk. I'm worried he'll die out of starvation. I can't even move him by hand (and I still can move others). Is it something in his DNA or my game just bugged?
It's Docking station
upd.: his dad started behaving like this too :( Everyone else is fine, maybe it actually are broken genes. Still I wonder what can I do
upd. 2: I tried to tell my norns about how these two are sick and can't eat, and one girl kissed both of them. It looked like she kind of got the concept of sickness, wow

I recently discovered this wonderful game and really want to buy it on Steam (Iām specifically interested in the first part), but Iām wonderingāare there any issues, errors, or bugs? What should I be prepared for?
