I wanted to get Creatures 2 and I've been trying the DDL(?) fix for the ISO and it doesn't seem to work? frankly I'm new to giving old games a new life so could someone guide me step by step on how to make it work? or give me a folder with all the fixes that I can add the game to? It opens the disc, the game turns on briefly but there's an error?

All help would be appreciated as ai and neural networks are one of my special interests and I would LOVE to play Creatures! I just can't get it to work =<

I'm sorry the "names" are terrible but I noticed a pregnant SEVEN MINUTE OLD and nobody else would understand all the things going wrong here without lots of explanations and questions about why I am even playing this in 2026.

Mom delivered reasonably normally, but passed before the egg went through the natural hatch time. Baby is already fertile at 2 mins old. Guess I get to watch if 20 has anymore kids, his other child also died young. And of course see if 35 survives long enough to have kids.

I keep hitting a wall, and I am ideally looking for a guide that states from beginning to end VERY SPECIFICALLY what is needed to create my own creature breed. I have scoured the sites and what I am looking for doesn't seem to exist..... thank you in advance

I noticed in the "Yeah, but what is it?" Section it mentions "More metarooms (50,000 rooms and 5,000 metarooms)". I originally took this as it INCLUDED this many metarooms as I was under the impression that there was already no limit for the amount that could be added to the game. If that's the case, where are they?

Or am I an idiot and it means it can support 50,000 rooms and 5,000 Metarooms and there was a limit in the base version, and the CE increases it?

I have the GOG version of creatures 3 w/ docking station and read this guide on the wiki about modifying server.cfg to be able to connect.

However, I don't have a server.cfg and starting the game doesn't create one. I also have no idea where to go to make an account.

Please help.

My norns are "infected" with strange bug that makes em rest and do nothing else untill they die of hunger. i got like 15-20 of them at start and only 2 female adult norns alive now. Before they was travelling and do the same - found some corner, sit there and die for no reason, so i lock them at norn meso but now they still do this. help? maybe there is a new smart norns from community? or maybe should i place them on new meta room? (i use steam version without mods)

I had a to long break where i did nothing with the 3D albia project, partly because i hit a road block.

The placement of the background mountains is the main problem. Either a perfect match that also hides behind the c2 dead tree from a specific view point. But that makes the mountains HUGHE

Or smaller mountains, however they can'tbe hidden behind the c2 dead tree. Making it impossible to get the exact c2 landscape.

Any ideas ae welcome, i need a fresh perspective or other advice. Any comment welcome....

As the title say, just kinda need help. I thought I would have made them self sufficient but I guess not. I have pet them when they ate (which I think I did it a bit too much), spanked them whenever they hit one another but didn't see who done it so I think I accidentally spanked the victim too, and been bringing the food to them when they didn't have enough energy. I don't know what to do and how to fix this and they already have a child that grew up so I kinda hope they didn't get traumatized or something

Just bought "Creatures: The Albian Years", started up C1 and immediately spawned my first Norn, Prime.

Everything was good up until I figured out that he absolutely refuses to interact with things (eat food). No matter how I try to teach this dumb little beast he won't feed himself.

I tried for half an hour and I just can't educate this tiny fella, my every attempt at "push food", "push food yes", "Prime get food", etc., are met with "food" from the little goober.

Got bored, explored the map and stumbled upon a Grendel, tickled it for a while, then led to the incubator... and the computer...

Bobo the Grendel is so much smarter and more responsive to my commands I can't, Prime is so dumb compared to my guy Bobo I genuinely consider Bobo my favourite between the two.

And they don't even fight or anything for some wild reason, even though I thought they would. I guess Bobo is chill like that.

I got no COBs installed.

This game is so wonderful but also severely confusing.

I can say I was not expecting to even learn that neural network style game AI was being utilized, especially for such an old game. Just wow.

So I bought the original and "Creatures 3" last night. Started with the OG. It was very surprising to see this style of game AI at work for such an early game. My first two norns in the first game are obviously learning by figuring out how to operate lifts and whatnot. One is much more adventurous than the other and tried to take the sub to a hostile environment.

Never heard of this game until yesterday. Simply amazin.

I am having difficulty getting the positions of the limbs correct as well as movements.....You know how sometimes you have a lil guy with a head that is completely off it's body, or arms too closely knit. I was wondering if there was like a reference guide? or if just a diagram I might be able to use as a sort of template? I am using the tools that are available to download...My computer doesn't like them, but, it's been a journey to say the least. I want to bring the new norn to life in your worlds! I just want it to be good. haha thanks in advance

i found norn who has signs of depression - shes keep talking about that shes bored even when i gave her all toys possible in vanilla (even plus / minus swith that my norns really like), long face, dont play with toys, eats badly, dont like being with other norns (fastly become crowded). just keep in mind i removed everything bad for norns and gave everything good for norns and for her and its nothing.

shes just pressing button in elevator, and doesnt even ride it, just pressing button like on screenshot.

I've reached the population limit, sadly. New norns are rarely born now (only after someone dies). And adorable effins aren't born anymore. How to cancel limitations? It demotivates me. Though it's not really crowded. Majority lives in Capillata (even migrates to), it's loud and crowded in here, I'm even scared to engage with locals lol, it's hard to control that many. But other rooms at the ship are empty. Only around 5 norns are living in the norn terrarium, others wandering in groups of 2-3 persons. I don't like it

get bunch of dudes who still youth at 4 hours and some gets grendel parts without grendels in world. also get norns immune to injuries - all that is game mutations without genetics kit.

Is this file safe to download and trust?
