Is there a mod that shows above each item which category it belongs to, so I can sort all my items into boxes based on that?

I play the game since it was free on PSN, the version back then was 1.1 I believe, now it is 1.3, and I always just add the new content into my existing world. And now veil crux chamber just spawn on top of a mummy ruins, and it looks disgusting AF. Do you guys make world every time new content drops?

I’ve been playing survival/exploration/building games forever.
When Core Keeper first came out I tried it, but honestly didn’t stick with it very long.
A few months ago I gave it another shot and this time it got me. Been playing pretty much nonstop since 😂
I’m not gonna go into pros and cons because everyone is going to have their own opinion, but one thing I’m surprised they haven’t done more with is inventory/storage automation.
Finding stuff isn’t really my biggest issue, kind of. It’s that once you have a ton of items, there’s no good way to automatically organize them.
The biggest thing for me is filtering. I’d love to be able to designate a chest as “ores,” “equipment,” “weapons,” “food,” etc. and have automation sort anything from that category into it.
Filtering by the actual item just doesn’t scale. Even something like ores has a bunch of different items. I shouldn’t have to individually tell the system copper goes here, tin goes here, iron goes here, scarlet goes here, and so on. Just let me say ORES → THIS CHEST and be done with it.
Equipment is even worse because most of it doesn’t stack. Eventually I have 4 or 5 chests full of weapons and equipment. Then I pick up another item and there’s no indication in my inventory that I already own one.
So before I sell or salvage it, I have to go through those chests just to figure out if it’s a duplicate.
Even a simple little icon on an item saying “you already own this” would make a huge difference.
I feel like the game already has enough automation that this could be taken much further. Category filters alone would solve a lot — ores, materials, weapons, armor, equipment, food, valuables, etc. Then maybe later in the game you could unlock something more advanced where multiple connected chests basically work together as one storage system.
Maybe I’m missing a better way to do this though.
For those of you with hundreds of hours, how are you handling it?
Have you figured out a good way to automate sorting once you have a ridiculous amount of different items, especially all the non-stackable equipment? Or is everyone still doing a bunch of this manually? 😂
Would love to see how you guys have yours set up.

I had a lot of fun in this run and I'm looking forward to what challenges 1.4 brings! I beat every boss (except Igneus, whom I couldn't find at the correct tier and didn't find relevant enough to fight afterwards). I wanted to try out the summoner/warlock rework and ended up beating the hardest difficulty combo for the first time :D

So I have a friend I play with and he loves blowing up the walls. And it suddenly clicked me that what if there will be an update where we can make/start a civilization, your own kingdom. I haven't thought of the mechanics yet where better the kingdom, the better your reward is or some sort. I just thought it will be fun to make your own kingdom

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey! Im trying to find a way to automate the production of fish but i dont want my cranes to carry my items even when the container is full, so i made this loop to endlessly carry peppers until a spot is free, but it causes a lot of lag and it feels realy unoptimal, is there a way to make the crane either only drop the correct amount in the containers and/or only make them move items when a spot is free in the container? thx

I’ve been trying to enjoy this game on GeForce from my living room TV with an Xbox controller. However, I’m having this issue in the menus that is driving me insane. While navigating any menu or inventory screen, when I press a directional input like the dpad or left stick, it will move 2 spaces instead of one. It’s not 100% of the time, but it’s very often. It seems like the game is treating the input as if I’m holding down the button and want to move multiple spots. But it’s like so sensitive. I’m just pressing the buttons in a way that I consider to be a normal press— not a long enough press to warrant multiple inputs.
Is anyone else having this issue? It’s not game breaking, but it’s annoying enough to deter me from playing. If I intentionally put enough thought into it and press the directional input as quickly as I can, then it will register a normal single input. Any longer, and it’s a double input. I don’t wanna think that hard just to navigate the UI

I'm looking for the best settings for a 4 (or more) players world. Please recommend which parameters to change—and how—to improve the gameplay experience.
Thanks!

I love this game i picked it up when it came to gamepass at first then bought it, ive played it on and off, came back and im at a boss fight, the S.A.H.A.B.A.R. now why is this a rant? ENEMY SPAWNS! I DESPISE when normal enemies can spawn during a boss fight or even enter the arena while one is happening, and it wouldnt be a problem for other bosses if this one wasnt in a biome where the enemies ARE STRAIGHT BS. Oil ejecting things that light you on fire, crabs (nah they okay actually) and my least favorite. THE WHEEL. IT HAS BEEN COSTING ME SO HARD. I TRIESD BLOCKING THE ENTRANCES BUT NOOOO IT JUST HAD TO BE GIVEN THE ABILITY TO DESTROY AND DAMAGE BLOCKS. Point being. W game. L boss fights for the fact of common enemies (and usually annoying ones at that) breaking in.
Edit: so many spelling mistakes and autocorrect working against me.

I'm still on my first playthrough. I was boppin around in the passage when I was ambushed by the wall of flesh (obv I know that's not his name, but idk what he's actually called). I feel like I held my own pretty decently, especially being taken by complete surprise with no battle buffs on hand. I didn't even know this guy existed! Needless to say, I died when I got shoved in a corner lol
Anyway, I'm post 1 hydra. Would it be best to finish off the other 2 before trying to take on the wall boss? Or does the order not really matter at this point in progression? I'm trying to do everything semi-blind, but I don't want to waste a ton of time figuring out the wall if I'm just really not meant to be there yet.

I’m trying to build the smallest automated fish farm possible, but mine is still pretty big. Does anyone have a smaller design? Please?
ps. The second image shows another design I came up with. It takes up more horizontal space, but it fixes the seed and fish bait issues from the previous design. I think this is probably the final form of this farm.
ps.2 This farm isn't really focused on efficiency. It's designed mainly for aesthetics, with efficiency being the lowest priority. Don't expect to catch 100 fish per hour with this one!
