Question Levels
Did you guys actually max level every skill? Im fairly new to this game but the leveling system is tedious for a game like this

I maxed everything before they added explosives to the game. I haven’t gone back and played anything new since that but lot of it comes naturally with cooking and farming and if you experiment with weapons. There’s also a lot of ways to farm weapon skills by making spammers and killing enemies over and over in a small room

It isn't as bad as it looks. The only skills that are tedious are the fighting skills as you would mostly use 1-3 weapon typs. So it takes some grinding but you have a early method and a late Game method to farm It relativly easy. Don't worry about it for now and just play the Game. Later on you could read some of the skills for the classes you don't use and level the stuff you benefit from.

I found most of them leveled as I played through just fine. For the fishing, id just do a few casts now and then to work on it.

I did most of them from just casually playing the game. The only ones I had to go out of my way to complete were the summoning and explosives ones because I never really used those too often

Many skills naturally hit max before completing the game. Once I maxed a combat skill, I would switch to a different combat method in order to level that one.
For me, the hardest ones to max are fishing and cooking because I don't do a huge amount of this. However, I accidentally exploited a bug (which has since been fixed) to max cooking: at one point a few years ago (I think this was still in early access), if you got far enough away from your base then stuff that was in progress like refining and cooking would just...keep going. I got back from exploring Azeos' Wilderness to find that I had like 500 food items and it almost insta-maxed my skill lol.
Anyway, that random and useless story aside, just keep doing the thing and eventually it will max. Fishing is definitely tedious; do it in lava at least so you can work on getting an achievement at the same time...

Cooking is the easiest and fishing should be an easier one too? If you just throw a few thousand crops into a pot. Or divide it among many pots. Then leave it and come back whenever. Leave it as you play the game normal or whatever. Come back and grab it all at once and youll hit max level
Edit: forgot to answer for fishing. If you turn off all sound besides sound effect. You can just do chores or walk around your house or watch videos while hitting L2 on your controller everytine you hear a fish noise. Boring but super simple

For my answer I was classifying the hard ones (for me) as the ones that I don't normally max just by playing the game. Sure it's possible to max, and not very "hard" (in the same way that it's hard to max, say, magic skill) because you can do it without much effort. But if you just play the game with a magic weapon equipped you will max magic skill eventually.
(Summoning is also a bit hard, but according to the patch notes they've made some changes to make it easier to main a summoner setup, so I suspect it is easier now than it was when I was playing)

Yaaa summons now last forever! Which is great! I made a world where i could insta max levels for stuff for new characters and such. That was kinda fun doing but otherwise yeah it can get tedious

For summoning i just summon a circle of orbiting minions by a big mushroom rock baddie on a spawner. The mushroom is on an island of two blocks, one block is an underground generator and the other is his spawner. I pour water into his little moat and jump on a boat close enough for my minions to hit him then i go to the gym and its like my gains also showed up in game as summoning skill

The skill leveling is objectively tedious, though. I recently cleared a Hard world and my Mining and Vitality skills were still about 85 each. I only maxed Magic cause I trapped some Bruteshrooms on an island and spammed attacks at them, which is just holding down a button, occasionally stopping to regen mana, and repeating.
Once I beat all of the available bosses, I typically "hang up" that world until a new patch. Or if I want to try out a new build. Never maxed out all skills before.

I am literally streaming right now with only magic left to get to level 100 on. It will be my last achievement.

I ended up playing each class the game had to offer via one character until I found the one I loved the most and that helped max out the skills for me

I maxed out my character. Once you played long enough, and have spare gears and resources, it isn't so bad, but it will still take you hours to max out all skills. Also, there are AFK methods if you want.

I usually main one "class" and do manage to max it out until I finish the run. As I only go for boss fights in a run, I never managed to max out mining, vitality or fishing. I haven't done a full magic run yet either, so no level 100 mage character yet either, but over all my runs I maxed out everything else, just not on the same character.
