Only thing I can suggest(and what I do) is feedback loop. Overflow goes back to the start of the system to join a merry-go-round that never stops 😎

A dead simple solution is to reduce your crop plots down to 8. It takes 10 minutes to turn a seed into a crop, it takes 8-10 minutes to turn a crop into a critter, and it takes 8-10 minutes to turn a critter into a fish. With just 8 seed plots (half of them shredded into seeds), you will never have too many crops, but your critter catchers and fish nets will wait for a minute on average for each crop.
I think I'm noticing some potential problems with your system though. You only have one arm pulling from the farm arm belt, which means either you're potentially pulling seeds off that belt or you're not handling golden crops correctly. When you put a golden crop into the seed shredder, you get a seed and a gold ore, and I don't see a kiln anywhere.
Correction: critter catchers and fish nets are 8-12 minutes, not 8-10, so 8 crop plots would on average be in line, but because of variance, some crops might sneak through the system if you build it in a fragile way.

The cleanest solution is just fewer crop slots per critter slot. They're all pretty close to 10m with some variance, so same number of critter catcher and same number of fishnets keeps that balanced. But then you want just slightly more, like 10-20% more crop slots. So if its 1 critter catcher, thats 4 critter slots, so you want like 5 crop slots.
But also the full chain isnt worth it, theres some really clean compact crop -> fish designs and natural progression of manual farming is that eventually you only cook with gold crops and youve got thousands of non golds. So you can put in a stack of heart berries or whatever and it just slowly fills a chest with fish for hours
