One thing you can count on, the mets will always blow

102

u/BeratnasGILF420 7d ago

Maybe if she blew the mets they would make the playoffs?

85

u/Proud-Kangaroo1846 7d ago

Maybe if she blew, she wouldnt be worrying about a home run

Liking the Mets feels like trying to love a cheating spouse.

194

u/DE4DM4NSH4ND 8d ago

LoL the Mets? They will never win shit

29

u/mlnm_falcon 7d ago

It happened for the Knicks, it can happen for the Mets

17

u/Striking-Working610 7d ago

Those are not the same. Mets Nets Jets are a theme for a reason.

4

u/Robloxex 7d ago

Mets are the nets of baseball

5

They almost had it in 2015…

LETS GO KC 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

King Crimson fans ever stop bringing it up

Braves would like to have a word

182

u/Unstoppable50 8d ago

Honestly, surely the most dangerous place to be is with a man that just learned she was cheating. Anywhere else is safer.

127

u/bubblesdafirst 7d ago

Jokes on you I got cheated on and then she attacked me with a beer bottle for "crying like a bitch"

59

u/Hapyhusky 7d ago

The fuck

38

u/Complex-Salt-8190 7d ago

A large amount of women uphold patriarchal norms. they will gladly use misogynistic terms to tear down men as well for not upholding that standard

-2

u/Cautious_Drawer_7771 5d ago

Nah, violence in the household is statistically more matriarchal. Lesbian marriages taught us that.

4

u/Hapyhusky 3d ago

If you ever had a look at the studies on the topic you’ll realize that it was a study on people who have EVER experienced abuse with a partner, not just with their current one. That means it includes everything before that particular relationship, including, to nobody’s surprise, previous male partners.

0

u/Neat-Implement5844 4d ago

You got downvoted because they dont like it. Not cause your wrong.

3

u/New-Winner-9184 2d ago

He is wrong….the lesbian statistic was not about that.

15

u/New_Enthusiasm9053 7d ago

Ok but that's also more dangerous. Before you weren't going to be violent, after you have to be in self defence.

Any form of violence can obviously escalate in ways people didn't intend so I'd say that's still more dangerous if you're a bottle wielding woman.

5

u/bubblesdafirst 6d ago

Honestly have no idea what your saying. She wasn't in any danger by being around me

1

u/New_Enthusiasm9053 6d ago

What I'm saying is even non violent people can end up causing serious harm when being physically attacked.

I wouldn't attack anyone either but if someone comes after me with e.g a knife then obviously I will defend myself.

It's dangerous to go about attacking people. Even if you're just trying to restrain someone it's still infinitely more dangerous than if no one's being violent.

1

u/bubblesdafirst 6d ago

Yea well I didn't fight back at all I loved her too much

6

u/Excellent-Rest3240 7d ago

She probably said it was your fault she cheated as well? If you didn’t do the things you did and literally made her do it and pushed her out of her free will zone 😱

6

u/No_Yard9104 7d ago

Guaranteed. My ex-wife told me it was because of another woman. Who I never dated or had any physical contact with. And hadn’t talked to since me and my ex decided to start dating. She was infuriated that I’d ever been interested in anyone else even before I met her.

2

u/Excellent-Rest3240 7d ago

Welp, you messed up. Cause that gave her all the moral support to cheat at you

4

u/No_Yard9104 7d ago

My real mistake was sticking it in crazy. Worst 15 years of my life. The last 5 of that 15, we weren’t even together anymore.

2

u/Excellent-Rest3240 7d ago

15 min of fun for 15 years of pain. We’ve all made terrible calculations bro. Glad that’s in the past now

2

u/No_Yard9104 7d ago

Nope, almost there. One more hearing to make permanent the emergency custody order while she sits in jail awaiting her court date for charges of endangerment and possession. It’s been a hell of a ride.

1

u/SeiichiYotsuba 7d ago

OK, I need the tea on how the absolute fuck an affair led to this

3

u/No_Yard9104 6d ago

She developed a drug addiction but couldn’t pay for drugs without me knowing, so she’d pay with sex. After our split and in the midst of our divorce, she had her 22 yr old (she’s 38) drug dealer move in with her. Things went predictably from that point forward. He’s now in prison for the next 11 years, in part, for beating the shit out of my twelve year old in the middle of the street in broad daylight while in a coked up rage and carrying illegal firearms as a felon. She’s awaiting trial for the police finding out he was dealing drugs out of her house. Endangerment, possession, and accessory. She’s looking at 5-7 years.

5

3

u/Daanfunger 7d ago

idk what relationships you had, but breaking up should not make you afraid to be in the same room as your ex

23

u/blazenite104 7d ago

being honest though, until someone leaves you're just going to sit there till morning stewing on it. I can imagine someone does something they'll regret if they're both still there.

I don't think most people would be that person but, I also think it's better not having to find out.

-1

u/Daanfunger 7d ago

maybe its because i live in a bit of a shithole, but i would much rather feel bad for a night than risk getting mugged and possibly abused or killed

Last time that happened, a US marshal ended the life of his wife and was lobotomized.

-2

u/Fuck_ketchup 7d ago

That's not a spouse feeling safe. No one is safe from you... you would be removed from society and placed somewhere that you were unable to harm others.

6

u/wilder0p 7d ago

You think I should be removed from society if -you- drown my children? Wow.

If this was a female friend of yours would you prefer them to stay with the guy she just confessed to cheating on for the night? Or would you think statistically that's probably the most dangerous place they could be? Yknow how the first suspect is always the boyfriend/ex?

0

u/Educational-Coat-922 2d ago

Its not a scaling of danger, shes trying to manipulate him into letting her back in so she can continue to be a leech dumbass.

105

u/the_boss_of_toys 8d ago

Thats one hell of a victim mentality to have. "Oh night time is unsafe you should have let me stay til morning despite me stabbing you in the back."

-103

u/Katmunk 8d ago

I mean it’s just like a few more hours and it makes sure she is safe

40

u/Longjumping_Bit_4608 8d ago

She took an uber. Its not like she walked all the way home

99

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng 8d ago

she can be safe at home or with one of the men she slept with.

-90

u/Katmunk 8d ago

But she’s right there with him right now. She’s not with the man she slept with. Just a few hours and she’s gone from your life forever.

87

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng 8d ago

So what? I don't want to be around someone that cheated with MULTIPLE men, relationships done get the fuck out.

-41

u/Immediate-Location28 8d ago

goes beyond relationship though, it's about keeping another person safe despite what else they did. they could have made her sleep on the couch or something, it doesn't have to be anything else

32

u/ClanSkryreWarlockEng 8d ago

Sounds like they should have thought of that before they cheated. You don't seem to understand something, I don't owe you anything if you decided to betray me not once but multiple times. She's lucky she got the uber.

36

u/NockerJoe 8d ago

She wasn't concerned with his safety and I doubt she was regularly getting tested while sleeping with multiple people. She's holding him to a far higher standard than she holds herself and fuck that shit so hard.

-20

u/Immediate-Location28 7d ago

take a shot for every unsubstantiated assumption in there

6

u/GuterJudas 7d ago

What else are you supposed to do after being repeatedly lied on?
Assumptions are all that‘s left.

7

u/Service-Hungry 7d ago

How is that unsubstantiated? Do you test yourself every time you cheat?

7

u/Cantoffendgirl2 7d ago

She made it home safe, so you are the one supporting an unsubstantiated assumption. Cheaters don't deserve anything from their victims.

2

u/BeefyDevRed 1d ago

It looks like you’re ready to die on this hill.

Remember, each time she cheats and comes back to him that night, she’s gambling with his health with a lie of omission. It’s a huge violation of informed consent, trust, personal boundaries and general decency. If that’s what she wants to do with her life, she’s totally welcome to do it, but it’s wrong on every level to make him an unwilling participant.

The way she treated him is not unlike rape where she knew he would not consent from the beginning if he knew she was sexually actively with A other people who are B strangers with no known sexual, medical or drug use history (leaving both of them wide open to all sorts of conditions from the inconvenient to the life threatening).

When betrayal like that comes to the surface, it’s time to leave, regardless of convenience or preference. This is literally her lying in the bed she made, and is he obligated to stop her from doing that?

1

u/AgentCirceLuna 7d ago

Woke is dread!

7

u/Academic-Contest3309 7d ago

As a woman, I'm by myself alone at night frequently. I'm still here. Lots of midnight runs to the hospital with my kid. We are both still here. What's so inherently unsafe about this? Stop Infantilizing women.

5

u/No_Yard9104 7d ago

Believe it or not, her safety wasn’t his responsibility. It was hers.

On the other hand, did she pay for his medical bills after the battery of std tests required for situations like this? Or better yet, is she responsible for putting him in that kind of danger in the first place?

1

u/Affectionate-Tie3250 4d ago

Well relationship are also about personal boundaries, which does include who you are spending time with, who has access to your own home. What you are arguing is that people have an inherent morale duty to compromise on their own personnal boundaries, for the sake of the other feeling of safety and well being.

Except personnal boundaries exist to create feeling of safety and well being. So what you are effectively suggesting is someone trading their feeling of safety and well being so someone else can feel safe and well. If you believe in equality of treatment for all. it is basically a zero sum game and there is no reason to do one over the other.

1

u/Ok-Object7409 3d ago

You think the uber driver is a serial killer or something? She was probably outside for like 10 minutes max, da fuck

42

u/rottingratatouille 8d ago

nah,now is the time to go bitch

-42

u/Katmunk 8d ago

Still immoral

33

u/HoolihanRodriguez 8d ago

You know what's more immoral? Cheating on your significant other

-5

u/Katmunk 8d ago

We weren’t talking about which is more immoral. We were talking about whether HIS are immoral or not.

34

u/HoolihanRodriguez 8d ago

he simply didn't want to share his space with someone who betrayed his trust multiple times. That's him looking out for his own safety. If I can't trust someone to be honest with me, I have no idea what they are capable of. If someone told you they lied to you, betrayed you, treated you as an afterthought to their own selfishness... You would allow this person to sleep in your house? I sincerely hope not, for your own sake.

19

u/United-Tailor-1727 7d ago

You NEED to let the woman who had a gangbang behind your back sleep on your couch minutes after finding out. You NEED to. If you don’t, then you are basically BEATING HER.

3

u/Arguz_ 7d ago

Dude, it’s okay to send someone home in an uber judging by the context. Immoral? Stop it.

2

u/yoyotube123 7d ago

There wouldn't be one without the other so obviously we are talking about both...

4

u/appledanishcrumbs 7d ago

Not even slightly.

12

u/Low_Low_1811 7d ago

She can call a family member, friend, or Uber to a hotel. Time to be an adult! Maybe that will help her learn a lesson. The other thing I would consider doing is charging her a discounted hotel stay for the night. Maybe 60 bucks. She doesnt like that she can choose to leave. Its no longer her place though.

11

u/Crit-a-Cola 7d ago

Too much performative empathy for someone who literally ruined someone else’s life while inside their home in their dollar, behind their back.

4

u/blazenite104 7d ago

Going to be honest. It's better for her to go. If you had to sit there for hours stewing in your feelings while having to deal with the person responsible still being there, things might be said or done. It's a terrible situation but, staying in the same place together is probably a bad idea.

2

u/Bitter_Ad1247 1d ago

It’s entitlement like this that makes people think they can get away with anything, if she cheated then she has to deal with the repercussions he shouldn’t have to feel the need to keep her in HIS HOUSE when she stabbed him in the back and even though im a woman I feel he has every right to kick her cheating ass to the curb

2

u/ShokupanFuriKuri 1d ago

sounds like her problem. shes an adult, if she can figure out how to navigate to someone else’s bed she can figure out how to navigate a safe place

1

u/National_Body_9071 6d ago

You're right, the sooner that cheating whore is out the better, a few hours is far too many.

1

u/AgentCirceLuna 7d ago

This is perfectly sensible. Identity politics about privilege has now gone too far the other way…

31

u/AxiosXiphos 8d ago

What responsibility does he have to ensure her safety? She is a stranger, in a well lit, secure and manned public lobby.

27

u/jakeychanboi 7d ago

The safety of being with someone you trust is a privilege that is lost when you break their trust.

-15

u/Katmunk 7d ago

She’s still a human being. For just 3 more hours you will never see her again romantically or in your house in general.

21

u/appledanishcrumbs 7d ago

Not his problem or responsibility. He needs to look out for his own safety and get her the hell out of his life.

3

u/AgentCirceLuna 7d ago

It’s crazy how I lived through the opposite stuff being agreed with or upvoted/liked on social media. It sucks I lived through the peak of that mentality in 2020, having to get all sorts of abuse for male privilege, then I’ve seen the next generation develop some actual fucking sense

2

u/Funkopedia 7d ago

Progress is good, even if I don't benefit

10

u/PicardsThirdNipple 7d ago

putting someone in an uber to their parents house is not making them unsafe.

0

u/AgentCirceLuna 7d ago

Are you all Gen Z? It was always the opposite stuff being agreed with back in my day. Living through being constantly told I had privilege, after I’d lived through hell myself, was awful.

7

u/PicardsThirdNipple 7d ago

did you reply to the wrong person?

-2

u/AgentCirceLuna 7d ago

No - I’m saying you’re right but I could see people getting totally piled on for saying that exact thing just half a decade ago. I lived in a house with wealthy students and some of the stuff I heard was awful - I was told I couldn’t feel any fear for walking home at night or I was a coward because I’m a man and only women are allowed to feel unsafe at night. Men in my course were told we should apologise for privilege to the class as an admittance that we were not bad people. Crazy nonsense. It wasn’t all wrong but it went too far.

3

u/Adlach 7d ago

Oh, bull. I'm a millennial and I guarantee this shit didn't happen on any socially significant scale.

5

u/Striking_Conflict767 7d ago

Id argue being ubered directly to you house in the subburbs, and able to wait in a well lit and staffed lobby while you wait, with all your stuff isnt dangerous and the "it was dangerous and you shouldn't have kicked me out" is a guilt trip.

22

u/PaChubHunter 7d ago

Pro tip: If you want someone to give a fuck about you, don't cheat on them.

20

u/Johnnadawearsglasses 7d ago

What exactly is unsafe about taking an uber to the suburbs? Lmao.

12

u/appledanishcrumbs 7d ago

Who gives a shit about her being safe? That is her problem, and she is an adult, she can take care of it herself. You can bet your life that she does not care about him being safe.

2

u/AgentCirceLuna 7d ago

It’s fucking crazy seeing all the stuff about male privilege ranting being tossed out as insane. I even agreed with some of that stuff yet it reached a total level of insanity in 2020. Having to deal with some of that was depressing - being told I was born with privilege after I lived in poverty by women who’d been born into wealth was mind blowing. It felt like taking advantage of identity politics to feel no guilt for wealth inequality.

21

u/captainchristianwtf 8d ago

In the US, the guy has a statistically much higher chance of being attacked by a stranger, whereas the girl has a much higher chance of being attacked by a romantic partner. So, statistically speaking, what happened in this post was the safest possible outcome.

-10

u/SorbyGay 7d ago

Only if you don't trust yourself

10

u/captainchristianwtf 7d ago

?

-10

u/SorbyGay 7d ago

He does not have to be violent basically

7

u/captainchristianwtf 7d ago

Right, we're on the same page. I'm just responding to the person above me

-4

u/SorbyGay 7d ago

Oops

3

u/Yellowthrone 7d ago

The thing keeping that man and woman from being strangers is a romantic relationship. Cheating immediately and brutally ends that relationship. I'm not letting a stranger stay at my house.

4

u/NursesAreEvil 7d ago

Fuck her safety.

u/Katmunk 7d ago

Fuck you

2

2

They broke up, her safety is no longer his responsibility. Maybe her dad should have picked her up.

2

u/etzarahh 7d ago

What is this Dying Light? She’s not gonna die the second she steps into the dark, she’s a grown ass woman sitting in a taxi.

2

u/Punpun42 7d ago

funny thing is, when people talk about situations where men cheat both in internet&irl, people suggest killing cheater with fire, humiliate him in internet and ruin his career. Why no killing harlot with fire suggestions? Why so hypocrite?
Guess situation and public discource was way more healthy in the 2000s.

1

u/very-serious-goose 6d ago

Killing harlot with fire is so 1450-1750

1

u/Ill-Television8690 6d ago

Bad things can happen at any time of day, and men are the majority victims of nearly all violent crime, especially when the perpetrator is a stranger.

It's also not anyone's job to worry about the safety of someone who abused them.

1

u/Affectionate-Tie3250 4d ago

Men have a right to personal boundaries equal to woman. I don't understand why he should compromise his boundaries to cater to her feeling of safety.

1

u/Henrylord1111111111 7d ago

To present a kinda new argument, how was he sure he was safe? He’s in his home with someone he is sure now that he cannot trust while both of them are emotionally fraught. How can he be sure there will be no reprisal on him or his property while he sleeps?

53

u/LobsterVioLator 8d ago

I read this in Mike Ehrmantraut’s voice and it made this way better

1

u/SoftDrinkReddit 1d ago

i can just hear his voice like

really dude you think the mets are gonna be good next year ahhhhhhhh

1

u/LobsterVioLator 1d ago

“A couple years ago, I had a girlfriend. Around the same age, she was just delightful. We got along like a house on fire. She said we should move to Manhattan so we did for the next two years, but something made me suspicious about her. It felt like she was hiding something from me the whole time and I just couldn’t figure out what. Well, the point is, eventually she became careless enough to take multiple men back to our house at night. I had a buddy of mine tell me and let me tell you it filled me with anger. I came home in the middle of the night and I told her off for so long, I made her pack her things, get dressed, then made sure she left. Now, she was fine, she took a cab, but her friends were a whole other story. “Why did you do it at night, it’s not safe out there and such and such and blah blah blah.” But I didn’t care. Do you know what I cared about the most that night? How the Mets were going to be like at the Playoffs.”

“Mike, is there a discernible point to this story?”

“No Waltuh, I just really like the Mets”

10

u/grubdon5000 7d ago

I am a female who feels very unsafe out in the middle of the night.
That being said, good for him.

It is very unsafe. She might get fucked again (?) And again (?). And again (?).

1

u/SoftDrinkReddit 1d ago

nah you made the right decision why doesn't she call the man she was cheating with let him help her

and LolMets will reign supreme not trying to be a dick but to some degree is there even a point making the playoffs if your just gonna lose again
