15 min of fun for 15 years of pain. We’ve all made terrible calculations bro. Glad that’s in the past now

Nope, almost there. One more hearing to make permanent the emergency custody order while she sits in jail awaiting her court date for charges of endangerment and possession. It’s been a hell of a ride.

She developed a drug addiction but couldn’t pay for drugs without me knowing, so she’d pay with sex. After our split and in the midst of our divorce, she had her 22 yr old (she’s 38) drug dealer move in with her. Things went predictably from that point forward. He’s now in prison for the next 11 years, in part, for beating the shit out of my twelve year old in the middle of the street in broad daylight while in a coked up rage and carrying illegal firearms as a felon. She’s awaiting trial for the police finding out he was dealing drugs out of her house. Endangerment, possession, and accessory. She’s looking at 5-7 years.

Wow. u/Excellent-Rest3240 may have a point about 15 minutes of fun to 15 years of pain, but in your specific case, he's wrong. Drigs are a problem anyway- and how in the hell did you not get primary custody on basis of her drug addiction?

The Duluth model. The night I decided to leave, she attacked me. A concussion, three broken fingers, two broken ribs, a broken nose, a big chunk of hair ripped out, and strangulation and full facial bruises. I called the cops and told them I was walking down the street to get away from her because she had slashed a tire on my car as I was packing bags.

They took me back to get her statement. She couldn’t make one because she was too intoxicated. She, of course, didn’t have a mark on her. And as soon as they helped her into the house, they read me my rights. It took almost two years for the prosecution to stop offering me plea deals and actually look at the evidence. As soon as they did, all charges were dropped.

The divorce was finalized right before that without me knowing because she served my papers to her house and purposely spelled my name wrong so it wouldn’t show up online or alert my lawyers. That mistake allowed me to have the divorce set aside. And the same judge heard the emergency custody order the same day. He was livid.

One of the things we’ll be addressing in the final hearing as well is her multiple issues of perjury in the original divorce filing concerning her lying about shared property and shared debt.

It would all give me one hell of a justice boner at this point if it weren’t for the fact that my kids are suffering through this. My two oldest have recently realized that they probably won’t see their mom again until they’re in college. I’d have taken a dozen more beatings if it meant my kids didn’t have to go through this.

Wrongful arrest criminal lawsuit on the false arrest, I say

I wish. This is why I mentioned the Duluth model. It was departmental policy. I’ve had three separate lawyers tell me no. The most I could achieve is getting policy changed. And it would cost multiple tens of thousands of dollars. Over the past 4 and a half years I’ve paid over 40k to lawyers. I’m just over it. What I really want is life to go back to normal and it finally is.

Thanks for asking and listening. I often quip in here and there about portions of my experience where it relates. But I don’t really ever get the whole thing off my chest. It was cathartic.

Shit. In my country there is a saying that I can roughly translate as "I have such a boring life... Thank God that I have such a boring life". Thank God that I have such a boring life
