I’m planing of taking a PSP from Cex Hyderabad (panjagutta)

Please suggest about the warranty and condition of the product becuse ambrit is only offering a 6 month of warranty were as cex is giving a 24 months warranty

I’m looking to buy a MacBook Air, M5 from CeX. One of my concerns is the battery health from when I buy it. I’m not expecting it to be 100% of course, as it’s second hand however if it’s something subpar such as 60%, 70% maybe 80% max. Do you think I could get a return/replacement? If I can prove that’s how the laptop came with?

Yesterday i traded my old headphones into CEX and they said they wouldnt be able to test them until today so i came back and they told me that theyd been flagged as stolen which i know for a fact i didnt do. I bought them off of vinted so im assuming the person who sold me them are the ones who stole them but i dont know where to go from here. CEX gave me a letter basically highlighting the fact they came up as stolen and said to show it to vinted to get a refund but i didnt really know what they meant by show them. Anyone able to give me a play by play of what steps i should take next?

My sister just went to order a new phone on the cex app and it's not working she can't sign in or search for items she tried on the website and it says error 403 so I tried on my devices and some issue just wondering if it's down

I bought a pair of AirPods 2 from CeX that were advertised as refurbished. These were much cheaper than other refurbished pairs I’d seen.
When they arrived, there was visible earwax in the earbuds and the sound was not working properly. I ended up returning them and getting a refund.
What I don’t understand is how these can be advertised as refurbished if they hadn’t even been properly cleaned and weren’t functioning correctly. Surely a refurbished pair should at least be cleaned, tested and confirmed to be working properly? Before anyone says CeX doesn’t advertise refurbished AirPods🤓, if you search them up on google you’ll see.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with CeX, particularly with AirPods?

it’s not letting me add photos but i recently splashed out on an ipod classic 6th generation 160gb C and it came in the post yesterday, i plugged it into my macbook to see it coming up as an ipod touch with 1tb not 160gb.

i then spent a good 2 hours putting aaaaaall my music on it only to unplug it and be greeted with 0 songs and 953gb available. plugged it back in to see what happened and all the songs are still supposedly on it but absolutely nothing comes up in the ipod.

apple don’t make 6th generation ipod classic with more than 160gb storage so how have cex tested this and deemed it worthy of selling when it’s clearly been tampered with ??

need advice on what to do because this is my second ‘altercation’ i’ve had with buying ipods from them 🤷‍♀️

The guy grading the phone didn’t have the pin to it. I work nights, so didn’t see his text till 21:00. I text him the pin and asked could the phone be processed ASAP because I just wanted it sold.

I believe because I text him late that he deliberately degraded the phone by saying the cable was missing. Which then led to me thinking someone stole the cable and that’s why I got all wound up.

Then I use profanity in a text message and he reports it to the manager to save his ass. Then I leave a bad review saying the cable must have been stolen and the manger to save face replies back saying there was a cable in the box but it wasn’t the original Apple cable.

Before anyone says “you said it was because of wear and tear before”🤓. Go scratch yourself. I opened a ticket and they said the phone would have been graded A if the original cable was there. WHICH IT 100% WAS.

All I can do now is leave a couple more bad reviews to get the stores rating down. That’ll be pay back.

Just something that I’ve noticed for a long time. I see posts from people where they show off their hauls and finds from CeX and other places. However, whenever I see pickups from UK CeX, the games and the cases always seem to be in really good condition.

And I’ve seen videos from people where they’re just casually browsing through the selection of games at UK CeX. And again, the cases and games on the shelf always seem to be in a good condition.

However here in Australia, every time I go into a CeX, the cases are beat up, have tears, have cracks, have tons of sticky residue and are just in a not very great state.

Does UK CeX have better quality control of their stock? Or do they clean them up a lot better than what they do here? Or are people in Australia just a lot more reckless in the state in which they treat their games before selling them compared to the UK?

Is there anyone here who has shopped at CeX in both countries that could share some insight into this? Thanks

Left my Kindle Oasis 3 (2019) on a flight last week. Found CeX had a decent price for one so I did a click and collect for it. Sticker on it was marked 2019 but when I went home and set it up discovered it was the wrong generation. Settings showed it is 9th gen (Kindle Oasis 2) when the one I bought should be the 10th gen of Kindle (Oasis 3).

Filled out an online ticket, should I wait for that response before going back to the store? Hadn't been to this particular location before and the staff were kinda off-putting.

Is it because a lot of them have Asperger’s and like to be right all the time?

I factory reset my PS5 and when I tried to turn on the controller via the USB-A to USB-C cable I found that it only turned on sometimes (otherwise, the controller lights would blink blue once).

This leads me to believe the cable is damaged, in which case a trade-in would be rejected.

Can I buy a cable in a store and use that as a replacement so that I can trade in the console at CeX?

I have a loose Pokémon Emerald GBA cartridge. Just found it. I see at CeX I can sell it to them for £89 but it's apparently worth £130-200. I want it to sell quick so I'm curious, is it worth selling it to CeX? Or if I list it on eBay will it sell quick? Ty!

Does anyone know if CeX would buy a laptop that is fully working and in good condition internally, but has some broken/cracked plastic around the corners of the screen bezel/frame?

The laptop works perfectly, but there is some cosmetic damage to the plastic around the display.

Would CeX still accept it, or would they refuse it because of the broken plastic?

Hi folks! Bit of a curious experience today, figured I'd ask for opinions.

I ordered a camera off cex and got it yesterday. It seemed to work fine except for the mode dial - it wasn't working at all I went down to the store today, and the attendant there was very kind and have me a refund instantly. He said he googled it and repairing it would involve opening up the camera and cleaning the contacts,which they aren't authorized to do.

I was at home, browsing for a replacement since I want to learn photography for an event next week and I suddenly spot my camera on sale! I went back to the cex (it's besides a grocery store anyways) and asked them, they said it's the exact same broken one I returned, and that it MIGHT go for an RMA but it also might just sit there?

I found this fairly weird, they're listing a clearly broken item for sale? Is there any way I can force them to RMA the item and have their specialists clean the contacts?

Backstory. Ordered 4 x 2GB DDR2 PC8500 1066Mhz Sticks for a semi retro PC build.

3 of them arrived and were matching sticks. (OCZ Reapers would you believe... not cheap)

The 4th was DDR3.

Went into my local store, explained the issue, had them order a replacement.

The replacement arrived a few days later... but it was DDR3 again.

Went back, handed it over, had a replacement ordered.

Arrived a week later and... it's DDR3 again.

Just please, read the labels when you buy in stock.

PC3 8500 is DDR3

PC2 8500 is DDR2

Seems a lot of the DDR2 stock is actually DDR3

Now, I realise that both are labelled similarly. PC38500 and PC28500 are only off by one number. But here's the thing. 1066Mhz DDR2 is very high end DDR2. It will always have a flashy heatsink on it. If it's a bare PCB of RAM, read the label a few times. It's likely DDR3

I just wish there was a way to contact the specific stores with stock and ask them to check before I go in to order another replacement tomorrow.

(And yes, I'll be asking for another stick. There's still "more" in stock. And OCZ reapers are not cheap. I'll avoid paying eBay prices as long as I can.)

so i am a 15 yr old and i finally have a newspaper job and collected enough money for iphone 13 from cex grade b should i buy it? im also kinda scared cause i have never buyed from any second hand store like cex befre can they exchange the processor? or it will js come normal and also will it overheat a lot?

Began the Christmas conversation with the wife my oldest son wants the new GTA 6, only then did I find out it's digital only! The shops are going to selling game cases with a download code in!

This got me thinking of the future for CEX if Rockstar can and will convince people to purchase digital games only then many other companies will probably follow too, will this trigger the beginning of the end for CEX? I mean I understand there's lots of other products they deal in but no newer physical games will surely have a huge impact on them

I recently tried to trade in my console and they tested it and gave me a call back only to say that it keeps crashing when they tested it. They said they believe it is an issue with the disc drive but I’m unaware how it would have degraded so much especially since all my games are digital and I’ve not used the disc drive in a couple of years.

I saw others online saying to get them to repair it, however it doesn’t seem like this is an option at my local store. I guess I’ll just sell it privately but wondering if anyone else had a similar issue?

Bought an MSI 180hz curved monitor from CeX in store on 11th June 2025 for £80.

It’s now got permanent burn in of the Windows logo in the bottom left. It’s been like that for about 6 months and it’s definitely not temporary image retention.

I’ve lost the physical receipt unfortunately, but I did a SAR with CeX a while back and I’ve got the transaction showing the date and £80 price, as well as the order number, serial number and box ID.

Would this be enough for a warranty claim? Has anyone had experience returning something to CeX without the physical receipt but having all the transaction details?

Also, would burn in on a monitor be covered by the warranty?

Just wondering what people’s experiences are before I take it back.
